Now that other teams know how well Slafzilla can shoot, they will have to cover him more, and he'll show how well he passes too. He's like a large-sized Nick Suzuki, capable of scoring because he's so intelligent and mature.
I am a Slovak guy living in Austria and I couldn´t be happier with the quick and impressive transformation of Juraj... I am delighted to see how the Habs fans start to really support our big young guy from Kosice... :-) And with Reinbacher on the horizon, this is definitely gonna be my favourite team for the years to come... 💪
Do they follow Juraj in Slovakia? Like do they have a sportscenter where they show sports highlights and Juraj is talked about? Just wondering how big Juraj is in Slovakia.
@@DiasBenes Of course they do, Slovakia loves hockey. Juraj has been talked about since he was like 14-15. He is projected as a future of our hockey (along with Nemec) which is a big deal since hockey is like a religion here. There is an immense pressure on the kid since the beginning of his career and he is handling it like a champ.
I agree, we are doing all the right things in rebuilding the team. We are right on track. The top line is here now. We now finish out the lineup over the next 2 years and we compete in the playoffs.
Anderson needs to practice his shots with Slaf as his tutor. Note how Slaf puts the puck where the goalie isn't, while Josh always shoots at the goalie.
Anderson has zero hockey sense, never , ever cuts down the middle , all he does is skates fast in a straight line , running laps around the rink as if he had blinders on , no peripheral vision what’s so ever , and at 28 I think it’s safe to say that he peaked and not worth anywhere near the cap space the habs are wasting on him
Hi Drew. Hello people. I really like the way the team is progressing. The rebuild is where it needs to be. Stay the course and we'll see you all in the 2026 Stanley Cup parade on Ste. Catherine Street.
I am wearing his jersey in this video! Haha. I’ve been supportive of him since we drafted him, I changed my mind very quick and realized we needed to support him. I’m even HAPPIER now with the Canadiens selecting him!
Juraj might still have ups and downs in his young career but I love what I see on that top line. No one can say there's no chemistry there. And yes, the rebuild is still a rebuild. This isn't Gorton and Hughes' team. They inherited Bergevin's team and they are doing the best they can with some of those contracts. Players like Caufield, Suzuki Struble and Guhle are all good but players such as Dvorak, Armia, Gallagher and even Anderson have under performed for the contacts they were awarded. FTR I always like Gallagher and Anderson. They give 110% on the ice and never complain. I'd love them to be around when they do start making the playoffs. Regardless of how I feel about these guys, This team is still half Hughes, half Bergevin and until it becomes 100% Hughes, we have to be patient and see where that leads. I can't wait to see who the Habs start next season with. If they can get a second line scoring, things are already going to change. Dach, Newhook might play a lot more next season. I'm still high on Heineman. There might be a trade. Maybe the Habs draft someone that might fit there. I was a big fan of Eiserman last season. I'd be thrilled if they Habs drafted him. Caufield V2.0. Wouldn't that be nice? And the D will also look better next season. One more year of experience for some of the young guys; Reinbacher and Hutson added to the core. The future looks bright!
Atta boy, DD! I needed that dose of habsitivity today after that 7-4 loss. They looked so good for the first half of the game, controlling play, limiting Rangers' chances, and even getting that 1-0 lead, before the wheels just fell apart. Loving the play of Evans since his promotion to the 2nd line, though. But you're right - that top line is really coming together! Keep your stick on the ice, Mr. Dekes!
In my mind, there's one or two goals Montambeault would have liked to have had back. The 7th Ranger goal for sure. The first Ranger goal , maybe as well keeping in mind the shooter did NOT get all that puck. It was more of a knuckle ball that took a downwards trajectory.
The "rebuild" took a huge positive step forward with the emergence of Slaf, his development, and the chemistry he has built playing w/Suzuki and Caufield. Kudos to MSL and the mgmt group to avoiding the outside noise and sticking to their plan of keeping Slaf w/the big club rather than send him down to Laval. But we need to be successfully developing more than 1 player / season. IMO, the "rebuild" has been stalled/setback with the major injury to Dach. He was developing his game and we could start to see him, like Slaf, starting to dictate and sometimes dominate play using his size and skillset...but injuries have really hurt him and I'm not just saying physically...and this has hurt this team. Hughes really needs to find another top tier Center (Zegras?) and specifically another productive and offensive threatening line (a decent 3rd line would be nice too!) to help out the Suzuki line...and remain healthy. Also, just as important is to bring in a defensive coach to help this team with their PK (needs to be more aggressive rather than sit back in their box formation...create more shorthanded chances) and learn how to properly and quickly defend when we turnover the puck or have difficulty getting out of our own zone (the one major weakness of the Cau-Suz-Slaf line). Prediction: if we draft Top 5...we select a really good player, if we draft 5-10...we trade down or trade the pick outright for some offensive help at forward (unless someone slips due to the high number of good Dmen in the 2024 draft).
We're one pick away at the 24' draft to become a force in the league in a few years. You add a Demidov, Lindstrom,Catton, Eiserman, Iginla etc and we're in business if that pick pans out to be a stud. The D-core is set for years. Just need to add some elite talent in the top 6. Fowler should be the future of goaltending also
Not only the rebuilt is where it’s suppose to be but it’s done. The habs have tons of prospects in net , tooooooooooooo many prospects on defense and the most picks of any teams for the next two years The habs have also a lot of prospects to sign before June 1st 2024 and have the maximum of 50 pro contracts allowed by the CBA . So basically the only thing left to do is get rid of some players to allow the habs to sign their numerous unsigned prospects. The most urgent thing is to get rid of pro contract, gallagher, Anderson, dvorak , Pezzetta , Condotta , Stephens, kovacevik, Harris and a few more defensemen will be gone by next year. It’s not like they have a choice. Engstrom, nurmi and a few others have to be signed and even though Hutson doesn’t have to be signed until 2026 , he will not want to play college next year ,he wants to be in the nhl and the habs can’t take a chance to piss him off and let him turn UFA in 2026, same for Tuch I think that Hugues will make major trades, packaging prospects and picks with unwanted players for talent, he also gonna have to overpay to get rid of gallagher and Anderson but it has to be done Exaggerated Example= Gallagher, 1st rounder , 2nd rounder and Harris for a quality young forward (zegras, mittlestadt,???)
All big slovaks in NHL except Gaborik got their best as 24 years and older.... so..... and tell anyone to Matheson he is able to pass because this guy never pass to Slaf ...
Gonna have to add somebody who's a top 6 player, cause having one good line is not something to be excited about. Gotta hope and pray Dach stops getting injured or we're fu*ked!!
I hope slaf isn’t just on a “hot streak” and he’s actually just gonna be this insane. He’s shaping into exactly what I thought he’d be from the moment we drafted him
See it as constructive critisism for an overall better product: syncronization between image and sound was really bad in this vid and, IMO, should be fixed.

I’ve owned it countless times in many many videos, and will continue to. Friendly reminder I’m again wearing a Slaf jersey for the majority of these videos

The way he’s playing right now, absolutely he can. After Domi’s 72 point season in MTL, he hasn’t come close to that again since. He’s been up and down his whole career. Slaf will be more consistent year after year regardless of if he hits the 70 point threshold. Habs need consistent point producers/hard work players game after game. That’s what your starting to get in Slaf. You never got that from Domi except one season, that’s it.
@politicalbandwagon4989 Ya, back to back 60+ points for a 22 year old is crap...but if our lord and savior Slafkovsky did that, holy shit, he's a beast! a superstar in the making..
@@adamCarter20 Slafkovsky can do more than just score. I’ve never liked Zegres, he’s always seemed full of himself and a really one dimensional player. If we give up Ghule for him it will go down as the worst trade in habs history.
@politicalbandwagon4989 🤣🤣🤣 so can Zegras, the guy is a goal scorer and a playmaker, and is better at faceoffs than Dach. Well, to get a top 6 player, you're gonna have to give something good in return. Montreal will most likely be drafting another defenseman this year, so they can afford to let someone like Guhle go, or Mailloux.
