  • Seville (Spanish: Sevilla) - the capital and largest city of the Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia and the province of Seville. It is situated on the lower reaches of the River Guadalquivir.
    Seville is approximately 2,200 years old. Its old town contains three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Alcázar palace complex, the General Archive of the Indies and the St. Mary of the See Cathedral. It was built from 1401 to 1519 after the Reconquista on the former site of the city's mosque. It is among the largest of all medieval and Gothic cathedrals, in terms of both area and volume.
    The capital of Andalusia features hot temperatures in the summer, with daily maximums routinely above 35°C in July and August.
