OwnMyCreations I hate that stuff! My "friends" did the same to me. I can't eat the food they wanted to share so I got my own meal. Yet they still made me chip in for the food they shared and what I ordered!
so if you'll pay in the end just order somthing a little bit more expensive and let them pay for part of your meal. It works best when you pay less than the price of what you ate
A water and the cheapest thing on the menu? Come on whats the point of going out for dinner in that instance get at least $50 of food and drinks then about $20 more on dessert at least.
Excited Cat I don't think I've ever had a Cab Franc that was on it's own. Typically it's used in blends, so if my friend offered me that I'd question their taste.
Just today one of my good friends recommended a $1200 standing desk to me. I explained my price range was more like $200. They went on to state "you can get 0 interest loan on it and pay it off in a year $100 at a time." I was just floored. That is consumer debt. A desk is not worth going into debt over. Maybe someday I will buy a $1200 desk but when I do it will be in cash. For now my under $200 desk will be just fine.
@@vbps3 Good advice... or get a great used desk for 150$... Nothing wrong with used furniture. Usually people are more happy with good quality real wood desks than brand new Ikea-crap, even if they have a few scratches.

Its actually immensely better to have a great grocery budget and a good kitchen and gaining cooking and hosting skills. Better food, more room to enjoy people, and people feel more genuinely contributing when they bring anything.

When my family goes out to dinner they never split the bill, but get into a crazy argument about who's gonna pay. Weird bit: They're all begging to be the one to pay the bill.

When you go to a private school but you have a full bursary your entire life is like this
I had to look up 'bursary'..
I get it now...
full scholarship, in the case of the private school. Or the financial wealth of an institution, especially a religious one.
The Gallium Spoon Yes YES THIS IS MY LIFE
I go to private school, when I entered my family was rich, now we're under the class average and near poverty. So going out with my friends for food is ALWAYS like this. That's why I also got ghetto friends I met in the street lmao, with those we can go get cheap stuff and eat for 3$ each ahha
It comes from the french word "bourse" which literally just means scholarship.
It's just a fancy word for scholarship
Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, bursaries are awarded based on financial need. This might just be a Canadian thing though, the Americans I know call both "scholarships."

Happened to me before, all i got was water and the cheapest thing on the menu, everyone decided to "share the bill" and I had to pay $34 for something that costs me $6 -_-
OwnMyCreations I hate that stuff!
I don't have friends for this reason.
A water and the cheapest thing on the menu? Come on whats the point of going out for dinner in that instance get at least $50 of food and drinks then about $20 more on dessert at least.
geelong3514 to hang out with friends over dinner.

Excited Cat I don't think I've ever had a Cab Franc that was on it's own. Typically it's used in blends, so if my friend offered me that I'd question their taste.
Just today one of my good friends recommended a $1200 standing desk to me. I explained my price range was more like $200.
They went on to state "you can get 0 interest loan on it and pay it off in a year $100 at a time."
I was just floored. That is consumer debt. A desk is not worth going into debt over.
Maybe someday I will buy a $1200 desk but when I do it will be in cash. For now my under $200 desk will be just fine.
Get a cheap desk from Craig's list for $15
$1200 standing desk? Lmao. Rip off
@@vbps3 Good advice... or get a great used desk for 150$... Nothing wrong with used furniture. Usually people are more happy with good quality real wood desks than brand new Ikea-crap, even if they have a few scratches.
1200 dollar standing desk?Does it come with 1000 dollars in the drawer?
The desk I have, cost like, 16 bucks.

Solution: eat your rich friends.
No eat their money
Solution: make your own money! or pick a cheaper place!
No eat their money, then eat the establishment and eat the establishments money
...why ?
Yes eat them out ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
idk why, but them being like "does he know we'll pay for him" at the end woulda made this alot funnier.
this explains how I feel at dinners at fancy/expensive restaurants lol
I've hardly ever been to expensive restaurants. I can afford to, but the food doesn't taste good enough/isn't healthy enough to warrant the huge increase in price. I can utilize/budget my money better elsewhere. Everybody worries about money, because that's like your lifeline.
Its actually immensely better to have a great grocery budget and a good kitchen and gaining cooking and hosting skills. Better food, more room to enjoy people, and people feel more genuinely contributing when they bring anything.

Yeah, I was thinking this is the one video where they dressed femme.
Ally deserves props here for nailing the perfect level of patronizing in their delivery here 2:21. Trapp's over the top "rich voice" is very goofy but Ally is CHILLINGLY convincing here as "rich person who thinks they are saying something relatable right now"
What's sad is this isn't too far off. I have rich friends who don't understand jack shit about saving money
My rich friends saves money, by making me pay most of the times we go out..
edt49er they probs aren't worth your time then, tbh.
They probably do, they just don't need to
"Man, its nice you tipped him a $100. But a $15 would have been fine and would have made his day."
"I only have $100 bills, its what dad gives me for walking around money."
smh, different realities
Honestly... having grown up with a rich father... He and his friends probably know more about saving money than most people ever will. It's a huge reason why he got rich in the first place.
Unless you are rich, don't hang out with a rich person. Except, of course, he pays. :P
Maxer13 although rich people can be snobs there are good ones who actually do care more about the friendships. I have one.
