Thanks very much for watching and for letting me know. This is why I do these and it's great to see this kind of feedback! What will you use them with? I mean, with keyboard drumming, edrums, midi programming, etc?
@@eDrumsandVSTs Keyboard drumming and midi programming! Should get myself edrums but my little bedroom studio is packed with too much stuff already lol
@@KieranZaneRoberts I see -- well for this library you will get the most out of it by keyboard and midi programming! so you're all good there. So you have gear acquisition syndrome then? haha
Yo man! I just saw this message, thanks as always to you! No issues triggering per se -- you'd need the hihat script probably, and although the dev includes a General Midi option (makes around 70% of the kit work right out of the gate on edrums, but for modern edrums with dual zone hats and pads, its not totally useful.) I had heard buzz about the pack a while ago on forums due to its realism, and after hearing demo solos from midi programmer guys, i was pretty impressed with the realism you can get when you go that route. I'd say if you keyboard-drum or program (their primary target audience), and you already have full Kontakt, it's 100% a great option for pure, realistic drums.
Those shell sounds are sooo good... Might be the best i've heard in any drum vst. I could easily imagine using them in any genre, even in some heavier genres like post-metal, doomy stuff, stoner... Processed accordingly, of course. They sound just like very well recorded live drums, which is what i'm always looking for in a drum plugin. The room where they recorded them must have been crazy good sounding. Cymbals aren't quite the best i've heard, but not bad at all either. I wish they had more cymbal selection.
Thanks for watching. Yes the developers used a big scoring room, ie orchestral type room, so it was probably great acoustics. Yes at max velocity/volue the crashes aren't the best. I shouldve said that in the "Cons" part -- and it could be the fact that they are so old (ive always felt really vintage crashes are not my cup of tea), but everything is recorded so cleanly and the room is so nice, that it wasnt a huge negative to me.
thumbs up for all of your educational videos. I own a TD 17kvx and MacBook. can you please make a detail video on how I can connect my edrums with krimh drums free using MacBook? I will be grateful to you cheers mate
Thanks for watching! I don't own a macbook or any Mac myself, but you are in luck though, because Macs do not need any special audio interface or special ASIO drivers for low latency playing. You just need to google search for the TD17 Roland driver for Macs. After installing that, download the free Kontakt Player. Then download the Krimh Free drums. At some point I will make a video of showing Kontakt audio settings...although there probably are videos on youtube showing most of these steps.
Dude wow! You've got to quit sharing these I want so many lol. I just got the new DW Sound Works and had to use the special Reaper script you gave me imagine that! I have it working.
