This video shows how to change the headlight bulb on a Kia Soul. There is only one bulb for both high and low beam lights!
I tried popping up the trunk but couldn’t find the headlights in the back

Thanks for the quick video! I popped open the "trunk-hood" :) and wiped the connection points down with a q-tip and blew in them (to clean-up any dirt) and plugged the bulb back in and it's working again!
You saved me the cost of a replacement until it actually burns out.

what if you needed to change the one on the driver side with the fuse box in the way!!! you need a video to show the people on how to get around the fuse box to change the bulb.

Same way bro. Just a little because tight squeeze. I wear a size 12 ring and can do my girlfriends kia soul 2014 but it is a tight squeeze. If hands are bigger than that maybe get a family member that has smaller hands. I definitely wouldn't recommend taking things apart just to replace a bulb if you can help it.

I'm surprised that no one has commented on any of these Kia Soul videos that there is a different type of lamp in some of the 2014 Soul models. I have an Exclaim ! model, and it has separate high and low beams, but also even other videos have a different head-lamp assembly, especially the dust cap. Mine looks like the HID version according to the service manual. It looks different and I'm having a tough time finding a video that shows the same type that I have.
I have seen a few comments to that extent. The bulb should come out the same way - rotate counter clockwise - and the owners manual should tell you the type of bulb you need
Thanks for the tutorial but fyi it would help also for first timers that the little rubber ring inside must be removed. I had the darndest time getting the new headlight back into the port.
Hmm, I don't think I removed mine. The rubber ring should pull out with the old headlight - it helps to make it waterproof

Thanks for the video. It took me 2 seconds to replace the passenger side headlight.... the drivers side took 30 minutes and a million fecks trying to squish my fingers behind the fuse box lol

Unfortunately the passenger side is the easy side!! What everyone is searching for is How to change the drivers side !! Some people pull the headlight assy and Some pull the fusebox .. I have to continue hunting for pulling the headlight out . Good Vid but Id add the drivers side to complete the job .........
OK found it .....Remove two 10mm screws left side one 12mm on the top fender .Pull headlight connector off Pull headlight assembly straight forward it's held in by two aligned clips on the bottom. Change headlight bulb, in my case Led adapter and push in bulb then make sure led polarity is connected the right way and reassemble ..... boom

Problem I've got the driver's side to change and was trying to figure out how to get my dust cap and bulb out with the fuse box in my way hope to find someone on here that going to do the hard side passenger side was a piece of cake

Was hoping for help on how to change the driver's side. That's the bulb that keeps burning out repeatedly.
@@JasonsHonestReviews Thanks, I have the owners manual, but it doesn't seem to be as easy as the diagram. The bigger issue is that the wiring has burned out/melted on both lights several times and it costs me $130 each time. Kia seems to be avoiding a recall, and I'm told it's a challenge to solve the overheating issue for lightbulbs.
@@leola65 I had a Buick rendezvous, that headlamp plastic would melt because of the hot bulbs.
I have a 2015 that I did an LED conversion on. Easiest thing to do is remove the fuse box cover and you can slide the cover out.
The driver side lamp is tight. On the 2018 Kia Soul, I was able to pop the top of the fuse box off immediately behind the headlight. That gave me just enough room to replace the bulb.

I would check the owners manual. It usually has pretty clear steps
i know this might be a stupid question but , i have a 2019 kia soul and im just making sure , i clicked on your reccommended LED BULB so heres the stupid part . is the first led bulb that the link brings me too , it will definitely fit my 2019 base kia soul?? just trying to be sure, but your video was great showing how to replace it/

Sorry for being a jerk on this: just take out that relay and just fight with it a bit, or reach in and unclip the plug and you don’t have to worry.
My friend was quoted $300+ for "parts and labor " at pep boys. I asked her to get the bulb and get me a burrito and we shook on it.

WHat bulb were you changing? To change the H7 is easy, what about the H4 bulb !!!
I was actually just renting this car. If I'm not mistaken, the model I was driving only had the one bulb... But maybe I'm wrong. Sorry i can't be more help!

@@ddemier I'm seeing h13 online but that's weird... I'd think AutoZone would know what they are talking about! You can always pull your original bulb out and compare it...

Rayvon, i didn't realize the drivers side was tricker to get to until i had already returned the rental car. I'm sorry i didn't do a video of that side! The process is the same, it's just harder to access the bulb

Yep, I just remove the headlamp. Takes an extra minute with simple 10 mm and 12 mm wrenches.

Sorry - this was a rental car so I don't have access to it anymore. I didn't realize one side was harder than the other
yeah thanks for showing us the cake easy one you didn't show how to change the low beam bulb on either side and that's the issue particularly the one on the driver's side which looks like you need a special tool to even get in there and turn it
What a waste of time. Anyone that can hold a wrench can do the passenger side on this car. It is probably the easiest modern vehicle headlamp replacement I've encountered. If you want to actually make the internet useful, show the driver's side replacement.
