Welcome to LOVEBITES and thank you for reacting to our favorite band 🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🎹 Wolfpack 🐺, the fanbase of our amazing and astonishing ladies, now is joining your channel and waiting for more LOVEBITES reactions. Recommendations to their versatile music catalog will follow a lot, I‘m sure 😉
You're welcome and it was a pleasure! 😁 I also have to thank my awesome viewers, for recommending Lovebites to me. I love the community I'm building on this small TH-cam channel of mine, and the recommendations I get are always fab 👍 Definitely some more Lovebites reactions in the near future, that's for certain 🤟🎸🤟
Hell yeah Melvin! You want thrash, you need to check out their latest live video released days ago (on their YT channel), Hammer of Wrath. An absolute banger! These ladies are talented AF and best metal band out there! Keep it going and thx for reacting to Lovebite and helping to spread the word!
Thank you for reacting to the best rock band in music history. I think you may have inadvertently switched Miyako’s and Midori’s names. Miyako played the first, bluesy solo. So your description was spot on, but the wrong way around. Great background research, but Fami joined the band after Miho, who plays bass on this recording, left. She has only played three gigs for Lovebites thus far and her debut is being released as Knocking at Heaven’s Gate on DVD and BluRay in 4 weeks time. I’m so addicted to this band that I flew from Wolverhampton to Tokyo to be at that show. Give up searching for a better metal band than Lovebites. It doesn’t exist.
Cheers Alex 👍 My mistake on getting the two guitarists names mixed up. As well as Fami! 😞 I guess I won't forget now as you're the second viewer who has mentioned it, and am sure not the last 🤣 I think they are smashing! Really enjoyed making the video. They are fab!
Midori is known as " The Crazy Shredder " for obvious reasons. Miyako is " The Golden Touch." Her solos tend to be more melodic & bluesy. Together, they are " M & M, " shredd sisters & my favorite guitar duo!! 😏❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘
My favourite guitar duo are Brent and Bill from Mastodon. But if I listen to some more Lovebites, that could change very quickly 😀🤟🎸 Love the "Crazy Shredder" and " Golden Touch" pseudonyms ♥️
If time travel was possible? Lovebites did a show in Birmingham in 2019 if I remember correctly, that's a stones throw away from me... unfortunately I didn't discover them till 2020. 🐺
Well, I didn't discover them until this week if that makes you feel any better? 😜 And I have been to Download Festival and missed them. Better late then never, I say 🤟
Yeah I can definitely hear a lot of their British and US influences. And I've only heard one song! lol Can't wait to get stuck in to some more of this band. Cheers 🤟👍🙏
Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” th-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/w-d-xo.html The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." “Holy War”, which you just watched, is their most-reacted to video. Here are more clips you should check out: “Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, from the same concert; "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html; Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html. Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html "Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html "Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html. Finally, the audio tracks of some of the new album are up on youtube, and worth checking out. The band clearly came out swinging and wanted to make a statement. Every song on the album is a showcase of their incredible talent and songwriting capabilities. “Stand and Deliver” is a thrasher with a fun video of them in the studio. “Soldier Stands Solitarily”, the final song on the album, is being touted by some as the best thing they’ve done so far-I encourage you to see and decide for yourself! You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
Wow! This is epic. Thank you so much 🙏 This is super insightful and the recs are all worthy of me taking note. I agree about live footage - especially Bloodstock. You have to be careful as the sound can be so poor. Even bands like Gojira, who are reknown for having some of the best live sound engineers in the world, sound like shit on Bloodstock Live video recordings! 😂
The band is named after the Grammy winning Halestorm song Love Bites (So Do I). Asmai joined Lzzy at Download 2019 to perform that song. Miyako and Midori (blonde pony tail) are one of the best (IMO) guitar duos out there today. Haruna is a beast on drums. Original bassist and co-founder , Miho, is seen here. She left in 2021, replaced by Fami last October. Some songs lean to power metal, some to thrash, and some ballads. To see their thrash side check out Break the Wall or Thunder Vengeance from this same Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 concert. To see Fami, Hammer of Wrath from the upcoming live DVD Knocking on Heaven's Gate. Another Japanese metal band to check out is Nemophila. All female as well, try Dissension or Oiran to start.
Thanks for the info Chris! My bad and thanks for correcting me re Fami and Miho. I thought Fami was in the band at the time of this live recording so that's a mistake on my behalf 😞 They are an awesome band and can't wait to hear more. Cheers 👍🤟
Thank you so much for reacting so naturally, excited and detailed to the best all-female Metal band currently active. 😊👍 Not one bad song on four studio albums, which I think is outstanding. Lovebites = technical perfection, creativity, power, surprises while performing, and contagious joy in their footage and shows. To me, Haruna (drums) is the happy "human metronome": She never leaves the pace, never misses a beat. I do not know, whether she does long distance running in her spare time? 😂
Thank you for the kind words and couldn't agree with your statement more. I want to listen to their albums like a diehard fan would - from beginning to end - but simultaneously I'm purposefully holding back so I can hear these tracks for the first time on camera. It's a double edged sword, this reaction game 😁
FYI - Miho was the bass player in this video, not Fami. Fami was just recently hired in October of 2022, so any videos of Lovebites you see prior to that date will have Miho in it. There are currently only four videos on YT with Fami in the band - Bravehearted - a studio recording, two music videos - Judgement Day and Stand and Deliver, and one live from Fami's first concert with Lovebites - The Hammer of Wrath.
Thank you for reacting to LOVEBITES. LOVEBITES has about 60 songs. Please keep up the good work LOVEBITES. LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015. The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP". On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hummer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HUMMER. On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full. "Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated. On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry. LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018. Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name. I participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)". And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites" again after Japan. LOVEBITES join DragonForce on UK tour 2019(Nov. 2-14). On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour. P.S. To be continued, fill in next time. Asami(Vo) Miyako(G - Key ‐ Piano Black hair) Midori(G) Haruna(Dr) Miho(Ba) First Bassist (Bassist of this song) New bassist from 'JUDGEMENT DAY' songs. Fami(Ba) New Bassist
one thing that sets them apart from other japanese female metal bands is the fact that all lyrics are in english - most written by vocalist asami who lived in the states for 2 years after high school studying modern dance and learning english well. she also has written lyrics for anther great japanese girl group called 'lonesome blue' that sing most of their songs in english. you might consider checking out their mv for the song 'face the fear'. all of these amazing bands over there are coming out of the woodwork.
Welcome Melvin.. Class, elegance, beauty and kick ass musiciens.. Over 60 songs to go.. Strap yourself in and enjoy.. Best wishes from France... Here are a few more bands for you.. Nemophila, Aldious, Hagane, Trident, Band maid, All Japanese, all female and all awesome.. Over 150 songs between them, you can thank me later.. 🙂 Enjoy the ride
Cheers Grant! 🙏👍🤟 I better stop reading and replying to all the comments, as you've given me a hell of a lot of material to feast through 😜 All the best and merci bien 🎸
@@melvinthinks Avec plasier mon ami.. It's all good I can assure you.. Your life will never be the same again.. Oh. I forgot one more from that list.. Gacharic spin, they too are awesome..
Great reaction Melvin ! In addition to Bloodstock in 2018 and Download in 2019, Lovebites also played at Wacken in 2018. Even though both Midori and Miyako (M&M) are equally technical as lead guitarists, they both also play emotional with feel solos, and they both complement each other perfectly. Having said that, and with their current discography of about 60 songs, Midori (also known as "The Crazy Shredder") plays the majority of the fast, technical shredding, and Miyako (also known as "The Golden Touch") plays the more emotional/feel/bluesy solos. A good example of this, which you could check out, is a thrashier song called "Break the Wall" LIVE : th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html . You have barely scratched the surface with what this amazing band can do. Enjoy your Lovebites journey !
Thanks for the kind words, dude! 😀🙏 My partner really likes them too, and she has better music taste than me. So when she says they are great, I know I'm definitely on to a winner 😂 Thanks for the rec too - I'll be sure to check it out 👍
For me its the 4'9" nuclear power hobit Haruna on the drums. Who is (among all of the amazing musicians) the one who amazes me the most. This is just one song of a whole show. And she is amazing the whole way. Not only stamina and speed. She is an amazingly musical drummer too.. I often say this, but its worth repeating.... Their latest album is top ranked as one of the best metal albums of 2023. No matter metal genre. And in our current time this band must be one of the best metal bands out there.. Not a single bad song and Ive heard all of their albums.... Musicianship is off the shart.... Sends you all the best from Wolfpack northern Eu, Stockholm Sweden section. / J
Hello Jonny and hello Stockholm and Sweden 🤟👍👋 Haruna is an animal on drums. Really impressed and agree with your comment 💯 Can't wait to eventually listen to their albums in full (I'm an old school kinda guy - I like listening to the whole album from start to finish).
They also played at Wacken and they toured in the UK with DragonForce a few years ago. This performance of Holy War was the 2nd track at their 2020 Five of a Kind concert. If you want to see how they opened - check out Thunder Vengeance th-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/w-d-xo.html
Great, if you like listen to japanese rock/metal-ish band, I like to recommended two songs for opening 😁 If you don't mind please react Nemophila - Hozuki(demon light). and Hanabie - Our 7 day war. Cheers😁
As of this moment, Asami is on tour with a different band as a backing vocalist, but LOVEBITES has a Japanese tour scheduled for later this year. As you can see, the five ladies here (and now Fami) are all wonderfully-skilled musicians and a great group who complement each other well. Most of their songs are either power metal (“Addicted,” “Glory to the World”), hard rock (“Raise Some Hell,” “Stand and Deliver”), thrash metal (“Break the Wall,” “Hammer of Wrath,”) or a power balled (“Frozen Serenade,” “Edge of the World”). The two outliers that come to mind are the synth-driven “Spellbound” and the prog metal “Dystopia Symphony.” Great band, fans can be a bit hyperbolic, but I love the band.
@@melvinthinks Singing backing vocals has been her gig for a long time now. The earliest video I know of Asami is of her singing backup for Uverworld at Budokan on Christmas of 2011.
Welcome to the greatest band in the world! I kid you not. They will impress you endlessly with sheer talent and charm. I'd say Miyako is more technical and melodic, and Midori is more speed and instinct. It is really hard to describe them that way though. As you watch more of them (hope you do!) you'll find lots of really interesting things, but the easy way to describe them is Miyako holds her cards close to her chest, and really feels deeply what she is playing, with intense focus, while Midori is more showy and flashy, shreds more and loves to share what she feels with the crowd. If you want to see exactly that in action, I'd suggest Break the Wall next th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html Although, they came back from two years off from touring with their new bassist this past March and recently released a performance from that show. That would be fun to, but everything they do is flat out amazing. They resurrected classic metal. th-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/w-d-xo.html
Cheers Eric 👍 I definitely can't wait to hear what's on store next from boy Miyako and Midrori. I'm a guitar player myself (not at their level, of course!) so I naturally gravitate towards the guitar sound in the band when I react. I'll definitely be doing more, that's for sure! 😁
Good you discovered one of the best metal bands on the planet. You have the style of M&M lead guitarist down pretty well. Everyone that does Lovebites does this song specifically the live 2020 version. For me, I prefer the live 2021 with lyrics. One down, 59 to go. Ones I recommend Break the Wall live Thunder Vengeance live Set the World on Fire live Shadowmaker live Winds of Transylvania live Hammer of Wrath Live (just released with new bassist Fami) Stand and Deliver Music Video Judgement Day Music Video
@@melvinthinks After they've officially started LOVEBITES 2.0 with their first live video after 2 years of hiatus, that's probably a good idea. That performance is pretty amazing, it seems as if they've all improved their individual skills, and Fami brought a lot of new energy. They all seem to have a lot of fun while doing an awesome job in playing almost perfectly, and after many years, they are interacting massively with the audience. 2020's Zepp DiverCity and also 2021's "Heavy Metal Never Dies" were great, but under (2021 heavy) Covid-19 restrictions, where people wore masks and could only do lame clapping...
MIHO is the bass player here... she and HARUNA started this band after DESTROSE disbanded! All the official DESTROSE videos have MIHO and HARUNA, plus NARUMI (DISQUALIA; LONESOME BLUE) on 2nd guitar, MARINA HEBIISHI (MARDELAS) on vocals, and founder Captain MINA (FATE GEAR) on 1st guitar!
Holy War is a great start song for LOVEBITES, even though it features the old bassist. They have only released one live video with the new lineup, and it is freaking awesome. Here it is: th-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LOVEBITES
This video is from the 2020 concert. In this video, not Fami 🤗, but Miho (bass, backing vocals, founder and leader of the band, 2016-2021). Fami became the band's bassist in October 2022. If you want to see Fami, then I recommend watching 'The Hammer of Wrath' from the concert that LOVEBITES gave on March 11, 2023. This video appeared on the LOVEBITES channel about two weeks ago. Great song, great live performance. Fami only 21 years old and she is a very talented, technical musician. Although I like Miho's bass better in this song (when LOVEBITES performed this song in previous years). But it's a matter of taste.
Can't wait to watch it! You are the second person so far who has recommended Hammer of Wrath so stay tuned to the channel 😁 And apologies about the Fami/Miho mix up. I got my notes wrong 😭
Great Reaction and Review. I'm glad you have discovered my current Favorite Metal Band (Been a Metalhead since the 70's). I think you crossed names on Midori and Miyako. The blond _shredder_ is *Midori* nickname in the band 'Crazy Shredder'). Miyako (black hair) - nickname: 'The Golden Touch'. I'm sure you've gotten a LOT of suggestions. Mine would be Swan Song [+Chopin Intro] where you get to see Miyako shred some Chopin on classical piano, and then shred the first lead guitar solo th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html - with a surprise at the end. 🤘🐺🤘
Thank you Patrick and hope you enjoyed the video as much as I did making it 😁 Yeah I did make a schoolboy error and got my notes wrong on the guitarists 😭 I've had so many comments and recs already but I could always use some more, so thanks for the feedback 👍🤟🙏
Please react to Maximum the Hormone - Hungry Pride. They are a very famous Japanese group, with over 25 years of success. Other wonderful songs: Yoshu Fukushu, A.L.I.E.N, Tsume tsume tsume... I'm sure you'll love them! 😊😊😊😊😊
Some Japanese bands, old and new. Take your pick: BAND-MAID [All their songs... really!], LOVEBITES [Break the Wall, Raise some Hell, and all the other songs], BABYMETAL [All their songs, because they are all different], MAXIMUM THE HORMONE [Yoshu Fukushu], DEXCORE [Earthworm], CROSSFAITH [Catastrophe], SiM [Killing Me], NINGEN ISU [Heartless Scat], UNLUCKY MORPHEUS [Black Pentagram], YOUSEI TEIKOKU [Astral Dogma, Patriot Anthem (Live)] and their other band: DenKare [Detonator], COLDRAIN [Die Tomorrow], CRYSTAL LAKE [The Circle], GIVEN BY THE FLAMES [Ronove], LONESOME_BLUE [Face the Fear], ANGRY FROG REBIRTH [2Step Syndrome], SILENTLY SHOOTING TRAITORS [Manipulate], ALDIOUS [Dominator], TRiDENT [Ambivalent, Spoopy, ...], BRIDEAR [Light in the Dark], CINQ ELEMENT [Destiny], MARY'S BLOOD [Marionette], GRAUPEL [Bereavement], DOLL$BOXX [Take my Chance], SOKONINARU [Tenohira De Odoru], HELLO SLEEPWALKERS [Flying Saucer], TELECiDE [Tied up Memories], NEKO [Ghost on a Record], MARDELAS [G-Metal], MERGINGMOON [Greyen], ROTTENGRAFFTY [Hallelujah], JILUKA [Mephisto, Overkill], BROKEN BY THE SCREAM [Emotion Cross-Counter], FATE GEAR [Unbreakable Wings], LYNCH [Devil], GACHARIC SPIN [Mindset], DIR EN GREY [Ningen wo Kaburu], X JAPAN [Kurenai], DAZZLE VISION [Second], DEVILOOF [Torture], JUPITER [My Enemy], NOKUTO [Life of Desire], GALNERYUS [Angel of Salvation], SAISEIGA [Ride On], BLOOD STAIN CHILD [Del-Sol], NEMOPHILA [Rise, Hypnosis], DADAROMA [Lucid Dream], JILUKA [Overkill, or Lluvia], HANABIE [We Love Sweets, Be the GAL], A CROWD OF REBELLION [Re:Create of the Re:d], PALEDUSK [Area PD], POLKADOT STINGRAY [any song], MUTANT MONSTERS [Abnormal], BLACKLAB [Insanity], ASTERISM [Fiction, Rising Moon, Unravel, or Church], NOISEMAKER [Hunter or Prey], BiSH [The Night When Stars Twinkle], SCANDAL [A.M.D.K.J.], DEEP GIRL [I kill], Mrs. GREEN APPLE [Inferno], BRATS [Doudatte Yokatta], THE ORAL CIGARETTES [Frenzy Hey Kids!!], GIRUGAMESH [Drain], LiLiHoLi [From Darkness to Light], THE DEVIL’S KILLING MERRY-GO-ROUND [Diabolos], OTOBOKE BEAVER [Love is Short], and many many more...
you got it backwards Miyako follows after guitarists like Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple and Gary Moore and has more bluesy riffs Midori is the shredder more into Malmsteen and Bettoncourt
Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Lovebites is one of the best bands in our country. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Hello Japan 😁 Love all of those classic bands you have mentioned. Japan clearly has been keeping a secret (well, to me at least) on some of the music they have at their disposal, including Lovebites 🤟
Great reaction!! You got the soulful and technical comments perfectly, Miyako is the more soulful player and Midori more technical, the bassist here is still the original Miho, Fami only recently joined the band. If you want to check out their first release with Fami it's Judgement Day - th-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/w-d-xo.html Amazing band, cheers! 🤘🐺

Bro, its time for Japanese Metal/Rock Bands.... LOVEBITES new songs Judgement Day, Stand And Deliver, The Hammer Of Wrath(live 2023), Break The Wall, Raise Some Hell, Thunder Vengeance, When destinies Align, Shadow Maker, cover song Pain Killer(Judas Priest) NEMOPHILA(all female) new songs Rise, Night Flight, Seize The Fate, Revive, Dissension, Raitei... BAND-MAID(all female) live songs Freedom, Real Existence, Domination, Thrill, No God, On Set, From Now On.. HANABIE(all female) songs We Love Sweets, Be The GAL(WTF), Pardon Me, TOUSOU(Run Away), NEET GAME.. ASTERISM(female guitarist) songs Dawn, Church, Blaze, Rising Moon, Gunfire...
They wear white because they are petite ladies. They chose white because metal stges are normally quite dark. White reflects light allowing to be seen easier. Asami is 4'10', Midori is 4'11", Miyako is 5'1" and Haruna is 4'9"!! I believe Fami is 5'2".
@@melvinthinks for another look on their work, The Charismatic voice has dicovered them very recently. I like to watch different reactions to a band I appreciate
@@sagebooker she is amazing and probably what every reactor aspires to! But she's different gravy and can approach it from a vocal analysis/coach type of view so I can never compete with that 😂 I studied music production/engineering for a few years, have played in a few bands, and play the guitar, hence why a lot of my analysis is around guitar playing and the soundscape/production. But she is great fun to watch and love how she embraces metal music.
The band chose the white wolf as part of Japanese folk culture for which the white wolf was the protector of the mountains, farms and the people... pretty cool concept...
Funny that you should mention Slayer. You'll know it when you get there. Hint: with Slayer retired, it's safe to say that trash metal is in good (Lovebites) hands.
It's been a while since I've done a Lovebites reaction but I've got another video coming out next month. I will never get bored of making videos for this band!
Thank you for nice reaction. I recommend studio Live - Scream For Me th-cam.com/video/46z-13l2oNs/w-d-xo.html another recommend Live / "Set The World On Fire"[ Ride For Vengeance Tour 2021] th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html Glory To The World [MUSIC VIDEO] th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html "HEAVY METAL NEVER DIES - LIVE IN TOKYO 2021" Trailer th-cam.com/video/r213R5QYSOg/w-d-xo.html
Live they're at their best but don't watch the Bloodstock concert, the soundquality is horrible. All clips of the Zapp Diver in Tokio are outstanding. The bands you've named are all in their influences and they're very versitile from speed metal to thrash and power ballads. Miyako is besides a very good guitarplayer also an outstanding pianoplayer, take a look to Swan Song with Chopin intro; th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html Also the musicvideos are great, you only have about 60 songs to go so enjoy your yourney into Lovebites, they won't dissapoint you!
Welcome to LOVEBITES and thank you for reacting to our favorite band 🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🎹
Wolfpack 🐺, the fanbase of our amazing and astonishing ladies, now is joining your channel and waiting for more LOVEBITES reactions. Recommendations to their versatile music catalog will follow a lot, I‘m sure 😉
You're welcome and it was a pleasure! 😁 I also have to thank my awesome viewers, for recommending Lovebites to me. I love the community I'm building on this small TH-cam channel of mine, and the recommendations I get are always fab 👍
Definitely some more Lovebites reactions in the near future, that's for certain 🤟🎸🤟
Oooohhh - they have a new one? I'll add it to my list 👍 And please don't thank me. It was a pleasure 😁 Really loved making this video.
😞 I guess I won't forget now as you're the second viewer who has mentioned it, and am sure not the last 🤣
I think they are smashing! Really enjoyed making the video. They are fab!
Correction: best metal band in music history 😁🤘
Ditto! Gutted that I missed that.
Good reaction😉 And you learned some of the girls name correctly. It's wonderful. ✨🥰🤘
Thank you. I was a bit nervous about getting their names right so that's a relief! 😁
Be prepared to rock your socks off this band are simply put awesome they have many influences Wolfpack UK 🐺🤘🎸🎤🥁🎹🎶🔥
Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” th-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/w-d-xo.html
The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc.
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
“Holy War”, which you just watched, is their most-reacted to video. Here are more clips you should check out:
“Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
“Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, from the same concert;
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html;
Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html
This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html
"Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html.
Well….that is pretty comprehensive!
Not one bad song on four studio albums, which I think is outstanding.
Just want to say... welcome 2 the Wolfpack 😄❣ 🤘🐺🤘🐺🤘🐺🤘🐺🤘🐺🤘
Thank you and am delighted to be part of it 🤟😬👍
FYI - Miho was the bass player in this video, not Fami.
Thanks (again) Chad. You should write their bio for Wikipedia 😜
@@melvinthinks That are basics we all know 😉 The name of Miyako’s dog is Wampa. What else do you want to know?
Hahaha!
They re badasss man....so much talent in the band, ...the most important for me, personally, is their positive vibe, i really love them.
Yeah - they really look like they are having the time of their lives 🤟
Love first reactions to Lovebites. Welcome!
Hope you enjoyed it. I definitely did 😁👍🤟
Thank you for reacting to LOVEBITES.

😂🤣😂 fair play 👍
You mentioned Belladonna, now I can't get that out of my head! Lol! Imagine him singing this song! 😁
Hahaha! Would be slightly odd, but I reckon he could nail it 😁
one thing that sets them apart from other japanese female metal bands is the fact that all lyrics are in english - most written by vocalist asami who lived in the states for 2 years after high school studying modern dance and learning english well. she also has written lyrics for anther great japanese girl group called 'lonesome blue' that sing most of their songs in english. you might consider checking out their mv for the song 'face the fear'. all of these amazing bands over there are coming out of the woodwork.
There is a lot more Japanese metal to come on this channel. Watch this space 🤟
If you want to see how they opened - check out Thunder Vengeance

other all female bands like Lovebites from Japan Mary's Blood, Aldious, Nemophila, Band Maid, Hanabie, Bridear, Hades, and Gacharic Spin to name a few
Wow! Thank you so much 👍🙏 Legend. And they're now added to my ever expanding reaction to do list 😁🎸🤟
These Angels of Metal are brilliant musicians and created an awesome rabit hole for you to explore! Enjoy!
Cheers dude! I'm sure I will 😁🤟👍
This why Lovebites took my torch for favorite band from Iron Maiden and are running with it.
Running To The Hills, some would say? 😜
@@melvinthinks 😁😁
Great, if you like listen to japanese rock/metal-ish band, I like to recommended two songs for opening 😁
If you don't mind please react Nemophila - Hozuki(demon light). and Hanabie - Our 7 day war. Cheers😁
Awesome thanks! I'll add them to my list. Thank you so much 👍🙏🤟
As of this moment, Asami is on tour with a different band as a backing vocalist, but LOVEBITES has a Japanese tour scheduled for later this year.
She is on tour with another band as the BACKING vocalist?!? Jeez. Their lead singer must be pretty good then 😁
@@melvinthinks Singing backing vocals has been her gig for a long time now. The earliest video I know of Asami is of her singing backup for Uverworld at Budokan on Christmas of 2011.
I describe Lovebites music as heavy metal/speed metal.
And I describe it as 'AWESOME'!!! 🤟😁🤟
Ones I recommend
Break the Wall live
Thunder Vengeance live
Set the World on Fire live
Shadowmaker live
Winds of Transylvania live
Hammer of Wrath Live (just released with new bassist Fami)
Stand and Deliver Music Video
Judgement Day Music Video
I think Hammer of Wrath has to be my next reaction, because Fami is with the line up. But still 58 more to go after that 🤣 Cheers Mark 👍🤟
You've sold in this with your comment 😁 Can't wait!!! 🤟👍
Fuckin fly!! 😂 I almost cracked the shits mate! so random and out of the blue 😂 👍
I swear I've seen it since in other videos. It wants fame and clearly enjoys Lovebites.
@@melvinthinks don't change one bit, just keep them coming 😉🍻
Cheers! 🍻👍🤟
Yes you are correct. I admit my error in my second Lovebites video - when I get to see Fami for the first time 😁
Holy War is a great start song for LOVEBITES, even though it features the old bassist. They have only released one live video with the new lineup, and it is freaking awesome. Here it is: th-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LOVEBITES
Thanks Phoebe 👍 I've got this track on my to do list so watch this space... 😁🤟🎸🐺
🤘🏽LOVEBITES RULES🤘🏽
😁🤟

Is that it? 😜 Hahaha 🤣 Thanks for the recs! This is AWESOME 👍🤟🙏
you got it backwards Miyako follows after guitarists like Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple and Gary Moore and has more bluesy riffs Midori is the shredder more into Malmsteen and Bettoncourt
You are bang on buddy 👍 I did get it the wrong way round so thanks for the info and pointing this out 🙂
But nevertheless - they are both AWESOME guitar players and I definitely wanna hear more.
(Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Hello Japan 😁 Love all of those classic bands you have mentioned. Japan clearly has been keeping a secret (well, to me at least) on some of the music they have at their disposal, including Lovebites 🤟
You had it switched around. Midori (blonde) is more of the technical shredder, and Miyako (brunette) is the bluesy and emotional soloist..
Yeah I think you are right, Chad! My bad. Thanks for pointing this out and correcting me 👍🤟
Great reaction!! 🤘🐺
Wicked! Thank you. I definitely wanna react with Fami in the band. Have heard she is a bass and musical prodigy 😁🤟
Miho Miho Miho!

Stay safe. Stay Lovebites
Thanks Marcin. Guess I'm part of the Wolf Pack now? 🐺😀🤟🎸
@@melvinthinks yes ♥️🎤⭐️🥁🎸🎸🎸 😎
I've been adopted! Yay!!!
This video actually had Miho, the original bassist!
Thanks Vince. Yeah - I found that out after I recorded this first Lovebites reaction video and all the fans educated me 😀 Such a cool band and I've got a new video for them coming out next month. In the meantime, there are a couple of others if you get bored 😉
@melvinthinks If you want to see Fami's bass prowess check out her bass cover of Alien Alien when she was 17 before she joined Lovebites.
Cheers Vincent!

ASTERISM(female guitarist) songs Dawn, Church, Blaze, Rising Moon, Gunfire...
This is awesome - thanks a bunch, Zabria 🤟👍🙏
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
They wear white because they are petite ladies. They chose white because metal stges are normally quite dark. White reflects light allowing to be seen easier. Asami is 4'10', Midori is 4'11", Miyako is 5'1" and Haruna is 4'9"!! I believe Fami is 5'2".
I'm 5'4" so it gives me hope that I can join their band as a their 3rd guitarist one day 😂
Miyako and Fami are both 5' 2" (1.58 m). Miho is/was 5' 1" (1.55 m)...
you may like Judgement day or Swan song from this band too... so epic and fast !
I'm probably gonna do Hammer of Wrath next cos I wanna see the live version with Fami. But these are now on my list 😁 Cheers! 👍🤟
@@melvinthinks that's why I (we) come here : a different approach, a different view on bands and music.
It's mental!!! But in a good way 😀
FYI, this was at the start of the Covid pandemic so I’m sure there were restrictions in place. That’s why the crowd is not participating much.
Ahhhh. That make sense now. Thanks!
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺💪🤘🤘🤘🤘
Cheers David 😁 I've just learnt about this 'Wolfpack' group so now the emojis are starting to make sense 🤣
The band chose the white wolf as part of Japanese folk culture for which the white wolf was the protector of the mountains, farms and the people... pretty cool concept...
That is cool! You learn something new every day. Thanks again, David! 👍
@@melvinthinks Five wolves makes sense, but they are together in the pentagram logo (lone wolves united)...
Two other bands to check out-
Unlucky Morpheus
Mardelas
Thanks!
Have you heard Unleash The Archers Awakening?🎸🤘
No I haven't but it's now on my list 👍
Sorry mates..eddies had been slayed...😁
Funny that you should mention Slayer. You'll know it when you get there.
Hint: with Slayer retired, it's safe to say that trash metal is in good (Lovebites) hands.
It's been a while since I've done a Lovebites reaction but I've got another video coming out next month. I will never get bored of making videos for this band!
@@melvinthinks you have plenty to chose from, so there's going to be quite a few.

Do you hear the double kick!🎸🤘🥁
She's a MACHINE!!!
So ... how is the fly?
😂🤣😅 It's actually safe because I didn't catch it. I wonder if it enjoyed the song? 🤔
Live they're at their best but don't watch the Bloodstock concert, the soundquality is horrible. All clips of the Zapp Diver in Tokio are outstanding. The bands you've named are all in their influences and they're very versitile from speed metal to thrash and power ballads. Miyako is besides a very good guitarplayer also an outstanding pianoplayer, take a look to Swan Song with Chopin intro;
th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html Also the musicvideos are great, you only have about 60 songs to go so enjoy your yourney into Lovebites, they won't dissapoint you!
