  • The Karnali river is the longest and last remaining free-flowing river in Nepal (507 Km). The river borders the Far Western and Karnali Provinces and is considered as one of the most valuable resources by both Provinces. The Karnali is ranked as one of the top five whitewater rafting and kayaking rivers in the world. In many areas, the Karnali is constrained by canyon walls creating big, continuous and serious rapids making the river one of the most challenging whitewater destinations in the world. In addition, the Karnali flows through the world’s most diverse ecological gradient giving rise to an abundance of flora, fauna and aquatic life.
