hey bro super helpful video just wondering im looking at getting one and installing sub and amp at the same time, will i still need a factory amp bypass harness?
@@H3ZZAA Hey man, you don't need a factory amp bypass harness at all with this kit and it'll work with the stock amp, with that said because you will be installing an aftermarket amp you won't be using the factory amp which means there's no need to bypass it regardless. I've changed my setup a lot now and have upgraded front and rear speaker with their own 1200w amp and I installed a big sub which has it's own amp and none of it interlinks with the stock amp. Connect it how I've showed in the video but you'll also have a harness with loads of RCA out connections, you'll use these to send RCA cables to the amp in the trunk and from the amp you'll be sending new speaker cables direct to the new speakers on the rear shelf and to the front door speakers. Same with the sub, just send the RCA to the amp for the sub. A little tip for the door speakers, you don't have to run new wiring all the way into the door, you'll find a plug by the fuse box on each side of the car which will contain two wires for the door speakers. From what I remember the colour may not match exactly as the wires interlink in the door to send power to the tweeters aswell so just peel back a bit of tape if you need to see what colour cables you're looking for and then you'll find them easily enough on the connector as they'll be slightly thicker than most other cables on the connector. Just cut it at the connector and then join your new speaker cables from the amp onto them. I'm sure for the crossovers you know what to do for your new tweeters and speakers. Best of luck 😄
hi, on the webpage for this item there is a warning stating 'After installing the device, the keys on the left side will be closed. If you disagree with this, please do not purchase' along with a pic of the screen and red box highlighting the area in question. could you clarify what this refers to? are they saying that some of the functions activated on screen via the buttons on this side will not actually be available?
@@ianferris5868 Hi there, don't worry about that as it's just saying the plastic fascia surround covers the capacitive buttons but you'll have mew physical buttons instead on the fascia which is better but regardless the new CC3 2K doesn't even have those capacitive buttons so don't worry about that at all. I would also highly highly recommend the 2K as I have both and while the regular is great, the 2K is amazing for watching movies and shows on.
No everything works like factory still. The Dash panel has the important controls for quick access and then all the climate controls can be accessed through the screen like newer cars. You actually get an added functionality if anything which is turning on the window demister on full blast with A/C with just one button. You also get an exact temperature readout for what you're setting in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit which is not a bad addition either. Hope this helps 👍

I'm going to be fitting one soon enough myself 😄 They also sell a dash cam that integrates with the CC3 and you can get a 360 camera upgrade too if you want to go all out but I don't think it's worth the hassle and just a backup camera will be plenty for me anyways 😄
Also If your vents right above your radio isn’t working but the other vents are blowing air it could be caused by the mode servo motor ! Which is right under the glove compartment! Teyes has a picture of the correct setting on the website under the radio you buy.
The headunit itself could be an issue firstly of course but asides from that it could also be a faulty can bus module. Firstly do your climate controls work, if so then the can bus module is likely fine. Secondly, did you do any changes to the wiring to bypass the factory amp, if so, revert things back to how they are from factory because you don't have to bypass the amp due to the can bus module. Thirdly, are you trying to play something through Bluetooth? If so try playing something natively on the device itself like through TH-cam for example because sometimes that can be an issue too. Lastly, did you modify the harness that comes with the headunit in any way, specifically the remote turn on wire, if you cut it and used it to turn on your sub, you might have stopped the signal from going to the factory amp to turn it on. Hope this helps!
@@IMALYO Specifically the air conditioning function or the climate controls as a whole aren't working? Did you make sure to set the canbus up correctly on the headunit itself? There might be an option to update the canbus software on your headunit so look around in your apps and settings for that option just incase it needs an update but firstly make sure you have your canbus on the correct setting. If your climate controls are working but only the A/C isn't, are you trying it with the car in the accessory position, ignition or with the car running. Run the engine and see if the A/C option works. If your climate controls aren't working at all and all your canbus settings are correct and up to date then it could be a faulty canbus module.
