I think Odoo, can make it much easier if they use UoMs as packages, and use packages as kits. Also they can make it easier if they allow flexibility putting different prices for each UoM, also adding the ability to add multiple barcodes for each UoM. What we see in this video is that using packages can make things more complicated not easier. Odoo have to work deeply on , UoMs, And omit kits and use Packages as kits instead. I think.
How could you automatically up charge the smaller UOM? 4/1GL of milk is $10 cost - $2.50 per gl. If we split the case and the customer orders just one gallon I need to calculate cost at let’s say $4.50 per gallon. Do I have to transfer the 4/1GL to MRP and “manufacture” it to individual units?
This solution looks great when you only have one product. Try this with 100 different sorts of apples with some selling in 25 packs, others in 20-packs, yet others in 10-packs, 18-packs etc. Then what if a particular kind of apple sells in 10-packs OR in 14-packs... After a while, you will not remember which apples sell in what pack sizes so when you get a giant drop-down list, you (or your new employee) will be completely lost.

Finally they need to add multiple UoM functionality in the PoS app.
