The passenger engine mount on these cause your dentures to fall out when they go bad 🤣 those 1.6 diesels get real grumpy on cold cold starts the late 80s 1.6 turbo and 90s 1.9 turbo diesels werent nearly as bad.
@@edstababy it took me 12 hours to change out that passenger engine mount. I don't recall how much higher the engine sat with new mount but it was pretty significant! Once it gets about 45 degrees F in the fall, I park it for the year in the poleshed, as snow is on its way soon and it takes me weeks to get ready for winter.
That's nothing. I had a buddy with a Rabbit Diesel back in the mid 80s. On a cold start at -20C, the instrument cluster would vibrate 3-4 inches. Eventually cracked every circuit board in that poor beast.
