Sharky He is late game hero of choice after 270+, he deals a lot of damage after his spin and can tank against overleveled enemy such as 1000k 1 hit saveas

I love my Brutus. I have him in my team for forever but he sometimes just can't provide the tankiness that Lucius can provide. He still is an absolute beast in early to midgame
@wxlan I heard the opposite, thoran and lucius overpower him a lot.
I agree with volkin, I have had an acended Brutus for a little bit. He never makes a huge difference in terms of damage but he is key for letting squishy backliners get some time to cc. He was crucial for me during some really annoying warek stages as well
You are missing something, Brutus struggles against Ira because Ira can turn off Brutus healing when he whirlwinds, which makes a big difference. Also, you want to use a character like Eiron to pull three people in so brutus can whirlwind them all down, bonus points if you also use Safia to pull them into your bubbles where the enemies get debuffed and brutus gets buffed whirlwind.

Brutus is actually one of the best tanks in the game. At 15:23 you can see that Saveas OS him. With his immune ability he was able to give your team 7 extra seconds of tankiness. Any other hero in that spot would’ve been destroyed because Saveas just has too much DPS.
Hey Volking! I'm probably late for comment but I just wanted to say that Brutus can actually carry.
I have it 240 ascended 1-star lv 17 Signature ability, but also before the star "buff" he managed pretty well to carry the team in the Mauler tower (I'm floor 110), the campaign (I'm chapter 22) and also during events, labyrinth and the arena. You just need to take your time and understand when and where to place/use it (also if just for the shield).

Just got my first Ascendant hero with Khasos! Got him 1 star immediately afterwards! He's a beast!
Khasos and Belinda carried me to chapter 23 lol.

My understanding is that Brutus is very gear dependent. So without having proper gear on him, and not upgraded he's not going to be a good carry. Just to be clear I haven't tested this personally yet, its just what I have heard. I also find Nara extremely useful for heavy CC teams as she can counter/delay one of them (Arden usually).
The core of my current team is Shemira(A), Grezhule(A), and Brutus(A). While I wouldn't consider Brutus to be one of my top characters, I haven't been able to find anyone really to replace him as an equally good tank. His guaranteed 8 seconds (9 with signature item) is just really hard to beat. Most of the other tanks I have messed with don't last that long under focused fire. Grezhule is an amazing tank but even he drops like a sack of potatoes under enough focus fire, or if CC'ed before he can get his minions out. If you have any other recommendations for another tank to use to replace Brutus I'm game to try out others. I was thinking of trying to replace Brutus with a Thoran at some point, but really don't like the idea of having him drop so fast the first time and then coming back. I would generally prefer a tank that actually stays up and tanks the whole time in order to keep enemies off of my actual DPS.
I think Brutus carried quite well beneath chapter 20. After that he's just a good tank, maybe one of the best at that.

Same! I'm feeling about the same as Volkin in this video too. I even raised his weapon to +15 before watching the video from the recent patch and I'm feeling really cheated. So far my Mauler account has been the most difficult to play of my accounts.

@@Sheffy.777 I just got to chapter 15 and the bad thing is that all I'm doing now is surviving. I'm losing to timers now. Since Brutus isn't working as my DPS anymore, I'm having to look at building someone to fill that role. Kaz seems like the best option for me right now.

What im trying to say is the performance of a brutes is different on every stage
Oh snap for once I’ve had a ascended brutas before the great Volkin 😂
You will have a great use from Lyca and Brutus after you get Ferael to ascended.. His roar will make Fera's spits melt the enemies with that 50% extra physical dmg and Lyca gets them faster :D
i always keep my brutus in front of shemira... with the invicibility brutus is always alive longer than my other frontline gives the best chance for shemira to do somthing impactful... that combo has carried me thru most all of the campaign....
Yesterday I did a little summon session and I got a double Brutus so made him ascended. I was soo happy cause with him I can madey first lvl 240 hero
And next will be getting the Brutus skin in the upcoming event. WOOHOO!!!
I'm at chapter 21 and have a Mythic+ Brutus. He was really good until chapter 20 but now he's just a disappointment, I barely have him on my team. I mostly use him when the enemy has one too so I put in mine to keep him occupied.
I remember my first time Ive brought my ascended Warek to this stage..
He melted Arden then melted Nemora even faster.
Maybe Nara can surpass him late game but I don't think there is a hero that deal so well with casters and their cc bullshit better than Warek.
some advice on getting a bigger chance at celestials and hypogeans ( DONT PUT ANYTHING IN THE WISH LIST ) that way they wont have a higer chance over the celes and hypos and do you have mroe chance at those your welcome volkin
I too have a ascended brutus, but he really is a situational type of hero rather than a must. I have lucius, belinda, shem, rowan and fwakes as main team. when i want shem to survive rather than tank i swap out belinda for brutus for his 7 sec. I think this is where he shines the most. He isnt a carry hero. he never was, never will be. Just a pure tank to shield ur main carry.
PS. You can save yourself a sweat and not do brutus solo lab. He cant do it and it'll just be boring to watch. He doesnt have the necessary skill set for that

Stats matter more than the ascention tier :o Brutus had every stat lower than grezhul, and even after the gear swap it was lower than grezhul's stats with the gear o.o So grezhul will still tank way more damage up, especially since his SI is +20 :>

Im on 22-50, theres a seirus, arden, lyca, nemora and ofc a fricking warek. Wilders on this chapter are so brutal x.x
ive got a 3* brutus at level 250 and 2* lucious, he's quite OP
I actually never understood why Brutus was recommended by so many Players. He just lacks the HP for a good Tank. At Lvl. 140 my Hendrik had 101K HP and Brutus only around 70K. He only had more Damage which wasnt worth it, cause he just didnt have the Time to dish it out.
I can't get him to work.
But trying to fight him he seems like a beast

Edit: I’m learning a lot by watching your videos, I just started playing this game like a week ago and I’m lvl 40 but the campaign mission I can’t past because my hero’s are weak I guess but I need more of those “crucial” but it’s hard to get them

People be excited to ascend him but the thing is he doesn't get that better after he is high enough level for 7 invincible sec. He is mostly situational hero cuz his dmg isn't that big to compensate sadly
im at chapter 22 and i dont have him in my main. i have a mythic+ lvl 220 and he dies too early for me. i only use him in labyrinth and the king's faction tower.

What? How much have you spent on the game? I didnt have enough fodder to get my shemira to even leg+ at that point, and i already had all 8 shems for ascended
He is beast damage when he is in the enemy team in late campaign and after next update his signature skill will be more better than before and DON't using Brutus solo Lab and will be pain if you do it video haha Volkin ~~~Nice Grezhul ~~~

I was lucky enough to find him in my first roll and Lucius in the second one, but at stage 7-16 with all my team at level 81 I really dont know what should I focus on. I'm trying to get my Elite+ Brutus to 101 first, but is it better to focus on Lucius first? Or maybe should I go for Saveas? Even Shemira, although she has 0 sinergy with my Mauler/Light composition
I think you should focus on Saveas and Shemira. Once you pass lv 160 Saveas will fall behind but you can feed him at L+ to L+ Brutus to get him to Mythic. Silvina is also good until lv 160.

i dont know about your brutus but mine is like a juggernaut ...always dies last and sometimes i can even outdamage shemira which its quite impressive ....yours is missing a lot of power and proper gears thts why it dies with 3 hits...i dont think this is a proper review of the most iconic hero of the game...and 14.55 what a bummer XPPPP

I'm close to an ascended Brutus and he does what he needs to which is give me a few seconds to get other ults off but now basically Arthur is just better 9/10 times

Also Brutus gets very little in the way of a faction buff, he just doesn't do well right now, because in general Maulers don't offer anything that you need. Low damage and little CC...

since the introduction of SI brutus was nerfed to the ground feel free to disagree
I can't recall him being nerfed. Its the fact that everyone got a decent SI except him. He also sucks as dps in late game.
