    Hi this news is good to know we are very happy to hear this information on working conditions. We love the advanced learning after employment to advance the career and stay excited beyond having this job each day, GREAT. The US has smaller employers (most passion in the USA is small makers, not tech names you always here of) that are say a light manufacturers and you can do many tasks learn many skills so your talking about larger multi city operation like a giant national bank we are thinking. Just our thoughts and yes in the end you seem to be discussing larger US company names. Thank you. Lance & Patrick.

    Quite similar to those of Korea before 1997.. when IMF affected Korean economy..
    as I work in a public corporation.. all you mentioned are still relevant..I think..
    Thanks for sharing.. bye..

      Thank you for your insight. The countries' economic structure I hear are very similar such as having mega large companies like Samsung and Mitsubishi, owned by certain super rich families, accounting to significantly large portion of the countries' economy. I am constantly surprised by how similar but yet, different sometimes the two countries are.

    I like no. 5 (passion for your company). That aspect seems so foreign to me, and I wish that was more prevalent in the US. Maybe it applies more to small start up companies. Unfortunately I work for a very large telco company in the US (similar to NTT in size) and it is pretty rare to find anyone I work with that is passionate about our products, services, or the company.

      I know exactly what you mean. Working in a big corporation in the US, some employees do not care about their companies like they do in Japan, which can have a negative impact towards the service your provide.

    Some reasons are relevant to other.. for example.. company can give you many opportunities to be an expert.. because it hires people for lifetime.. and it trains employees for the same reason..^^

    I would love to live in Japan! I plan on going back to school to become an investment banker. I'm thinking about doing the first two years of college here in New York, and then transferring to a university in Japan for the last two years. Would that be a good field of study to live and work in Japan?

      Hey that’s cool. I have a few friends who were working at some of the top American financial institutions in Japan. It’s a bit easier getting your foot in as long as you’re good with the two languages.

      @@Yusakuo I'm doing my best to learn Japanese on my own at the moment, but I do plan on taking some Japanese language classes to get better at it. So far I have Hiragana and Katakana fully memorized, Kanji and grammar is what I really need to work on right now.

    I was thinking of applying at a hotel. I've been working at hotels for 10 years so what is your advice? I've always been a server. I'm kind of iffy about it because maybe I won't get a job in japan. Thanks from California.

    I've always wanted to live in japan, but I never had the self confidence to go to university because I suffer from pretty severe Dyslexia.... do you have any tips on jobs and how to go about visas if you're unskilled and unqualified due to a learning disability?

      also, is it necessary to be fluent in japanese?

    • @Yusakuo
      @Yusakuo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The field of work that you’re getting into may be special, and I would always not discount the possibility of landing a great job in Japan, but at the same time, my honest thought based on my experience of working and talking to my fellow Japanese friends over the years is that Japan is a very conservative place and would present you with challenges that you may be able to avoid, to rather focus on the develop of your career, from start should you have decided to go to other countries that more open. Generally, for none teaching jobs in Japan, the level of proficiency in Japanese is high. You will be at the base minimum have to be pretty close fluent, and that’s my honest thought... But as I said, there are rare opportunities out there with increasing global businesses in japan so keep looking for jobs in japan as well as other neighboring countries abroad! Wishing you best of luck! :D
