I first heard of Terry Riley decades ago in a university music history course. I learned more about him in this 7 minute piece than I did then. Very edifying. Thank you for uploading this jewel.
It's always inspiring to hear him speak about his approach to music. Grateful to have seen him in San Francisco!
He is one of my favorite composers along with Webern, Stockhausen etc

YES! I sit at the keyboard, and my fingers just play ... I am just a channel for something/someone else what is playing ... I can sit at different pianos, and play some thing completely different, even though, in essence, the keyboard architecture is the same ....
