      It’s part of the C-51 canal chain. Unfortunately they found blue-green algae in the area this week and are advising people to be cautious about contact with the water. You can try the lake Ida/Osborne area and lake Wellington. You can also try the canals near Southern Blvd. and 441. They stack up by the bridges in that area. Use shiners if you go that route. Good luck!

    I live here in West Palm Beach. Where would you recommend going for catching peacocks and other exotic fishes?

    • @CoastalFeverTV
      @CoastalFeverTV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Jacoby. Appreciate ya checking out the video. Most of the canals off Belvedere road tend to hold a decent amount of peacocks and snakeheads. The further south you go, like into the Boynton Beach area you’ll end up catching more of them though. You can also try the canals out in Wellington off of 441 by the mall. Hope ya catch em up!

    Great video man! Peacock Bass are suck great looking fish. Congrats on your PB. That snakehead is pretty awesome to. Are Peacock Bass invasive like the snakehead or they arrived there naturally?

    • @CoastalFeverTV
      @CoastalFeverTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! The peacocks aren’t invasive, but they are non-native to Florida. They were introduced by the FWC down here back in 1984 to control the exotic forage population and undesirable exotic fish like the spotted tilapia. They originally introduced two types of peacock bass down here. The butterfly peacock is the one that survived, and I’m glad they did! They are so much fun to catch and are so cool looking.
