If you were hoping for a dramatic reinvention of EA’s soccer sim to go along with ditching the FIFA name, EA Sports FC 24 is not that. If you’ve played FIFA, you know exactly what kind of incremental improvements and longstanding problems with AI to expect this year. New mechanics like Evolutions show that EA has a general grasp of how to improve its RPG elements, even if it’s only currently for Ultimate Team where you have to put up with all of the dreaded microtransactions. Elsewhere, Volta mode is still a lot of fun with a full team of friends thanks in part to its unique arenas, while the Career Modes once again suffer from the same lack of care they’ve been missing for years, with the added annoyance of some ill-conceived RNG-based objectives this time. All told, it might have a new name, but EA Sports FC 24 is just about the same, frustrating but beautiful game. - เกม

Defending in this game is insanely bad and unresponsive. It's better to let AI block the shots than attempting a tackle. Trying to disposess an opponent is like trying to swat mosquitos in complete darkness (there's a chance you hit but it's highly unlikely).
Even FIFA PS1 AI are far better than FC 24. LOL.😅

Not really. They're just discussing the differences between the previous and new Fifa. The new functions are not impressive but the Fifa is still Fifa so it's not "bad" but also not "amazing"
They probably REALLY want to give it a 5 or 6, but.... ya know.... industry politics and such. Anything lower than a 7 and the publishers boycott you/cut off your access to their games.
EA will not boycott IGN eevn if they gave them a 2. Even if we see IGN as a joke they're the people on billboards next to the 'respected' general news sites that review these games too. Played the trial. It still seems like defenders are so slow/clunky when they are on the turn and a ball is played in behind. Defining in the game still feels broken

step-1 go to your most recent sport game release
step-2 select it and press ctrl + C
step-3 press ctrl + V
Step-4 the hardest step out of them, rename the new release's year to the most recent release's year + 1

Been playing Fifa for a long time and enjoyed many years of clubs along with getting 100% trophies every year but with the name change is a chance to ditch the series and move on, EA havent cared about their customers for a long time, its creeping into other sports games too like PGA Golf and F1
Same with NASCAR and Madden
Unless you're moving on to a different sport there isn't any genuine alternative to it, unfortunately.

I’ve been playing FIFA since 99, and bought every single release. FC24 was probably my last one… EA is ruining the game.
Why on earth would EA delete the intro’s and starting lineups? Now you don’t even know which players are in the opposition. Just, Why??
FIFA 97 and 98 PS1 even have those intros, handshake animations and Team Formation Lineups. Plus Stadium Intros also.

Cant believe they didnt mention the amount of amature bugs in the game. They spent millions on EPL license, but managed to not fix the scoreboard numbers disappearing since last year. If you wanna sell the same game annually, please at least fix the bugs from the previous games.

So, let's summarize:
The Hypermotion feature doesn't work properly, play-styles are basically the dumbed down version of the tatics screen, career mode has once again been shat upon, and the only real innovation comes in the form of player development in the shameful cash-grab that is Ultimate Team. Buy hey, now some random 68kg woman might just be able to body slam Virgil van Dijk.

For those that want to come home and play to relax and enjoy, this game is not the right choice. The offline mode ( career mods ) are bad, the defending, the passing. The gap between difficulty levels. My last fifa bought before this was 19. From fifa 14 all to this one, they are all garbage in what means gameplay, but fifa24 is the worst. The ai instead of helping you, it makes your game harder.
You guys forgot to mention that it freezes constantly making it impossible to play in the first place
