The Sims 1- Furnishing a Mansion

- My Sim Jimbob just bought a grand mansion, but it looks barren without any furniture inside of it! Luckily, the Buy Mode (and plenty of money) can solve that problem whenever you build or buy a house for your Sims.
Filmed with Game DVR. Edited with Handbrake and Arcsoft Showbiz. Played on a MIS GE62 2QD Apache Pro in 1080p HD @ ~30FPS.
The Sims 1 is a PC Game made by Will Wright, developed by Maxis, and published by EA Games (Electronic Arts). Music composed by Jerry Martin.
I realize how realistic the items are in sims 1 compare to how cartoon-ish the sims 4 is.
facts
Salty haha
@@ed299 ..?
This is why I prefer sims 1
@@random95725 i use cc maxis match though for sims 4..cause i like the graphic cartoony..
When this is more fun to watch than a Sims 4 house furnishing 😂😂😂
Salty haha
Sims 1 furniture is still the most detailed of all Sims games.... oh nostalgia hits soooo hard... this was my whole childhood
sims 2
this was the dream home of all little simmers back in the day 😭😭 so nostalgic. I always had trouble furnishing such a big space though but youve done it so flawlessly!
Omg that nostalgia feeling in your stomach! Life was so easy when i played sims 1
Damn that build/buy mode music is so nostalgic, I wish they would bring it back in future games
There is a retro station on the radios that play these on TS4 😁
@@spapow5919 true, I enjoy that but I kind of wish they would use it in build/buy mode again. But it is nice to hear it in the sims 4
@@warrickgirl37 Ohhh I get you. Would be cool to get the music and retro furniture in a pack or kit lol
I remember back then being disappointed by the floorplan of the mansion. The exterior is so beautiful from the neighborhood map. When I finally had enough money to purchase the house, I found the floorplan hard to work with.
Sparky Barth omg fr!! I thought i was the only one who felt this way 😂
And the objects we so limited, I just bought multitudes of the same stuff to fill it! I was disappointed by it too
It's TS1 that sparked my preference to smaller/cozier homes compared to large mansions. You could easily furnish a small house in TS1 and make it look nice. It was very hard to furnish a mansion without two rooms looking the same eventually.
I totally agree... I was even more disappointed with medieval castle from Hood 2, that came with Livin Large... They did a trick with partly furnishing 2nd floor (you know from neighbourhood you only see 2nd one) - when I finally bought it, I was shocked: you basically had one giant empty room downstairs, bathroom without sink & 1 bedroom upstairs. Objects together when sold up (since it were mostly antiques) didn't cost 20 000, not whooping 117 000 (castle price)
Motherload
Thanks for reminding me of the good old days Sims 1, It's been a long 23 years the game is still recognized by everyone, especially this one. Although sadly I've skipped Sims 4 due to it's cartoonish look and too many EPs for it. Dag dag. 👋
Thanks for uploading sims 1 stuff sims 1 was my first sims game
I fucking loved this game as a kid lol. Took my sweet time building houses for hours every day when I was 11/12.
That moment were 10-year-olds became interior designers and we didn’t even know it.
i like these videos! thanks for making them :)
I loved sims 1 and I don't know how I ever accomplished anything.. It was so hard to keep them alive .I used to *speed skill them + save and start over. Back then , they didn't retain low needs if you began the game fresh. I would put them on an empty lot chairs and bookcase and skill them till they were red. Then I found rosebud But I don't recall still how I made a success of them I had big homes and families . Loved hot date and magic town so much fun.
You know, you could just use the 'move_objects on' cheat to delete them and refill their needs to full? just wait 24 hours between getting skill points because it will reset any skill learned in the last day when you do it
me too! it took sooooo long to improve their cooking skill.
i did the same on you..
i put my sims in empty lot to learn cooking with a book, and doing "klapaucius;!;!;!;!1" too. then if they has at least 4 points of cooking skill, i move them for a "real" house life 😅
You don't even need to wait 24 hours after gaining a skill point, just save the game and you can immeaditly delete them without losing any.
@@yerigarcia-matus850 You can just save the game then delete your sim and you won't loose your recent skill point.
playing this game now would feel so therapeutic
Its been rereleased on steam!
Who think before the sims 1 graphic the most best ever in that time? Hahahahaha!!!!!!
sims 3 is more safety for low cooking skill..
i wonder WHY in sim 1 everything sooooo difficult? 😟🙎
- my sim has 3 point cooking skill, and still catch a fire when she started cook on stove. it took forever to raise her skill 😭😭
- mechanical skill doesn't influent to fix broken machines faster. so better call a repairman
- it's pretty hard to keep relationship with your spouse. sometimes they don't wanna be smooched
- it's hard to keep relationship with neighbours. when my sim hugging them, then her spouse gonna be mad to the visitors!
- there's no cheat to get the gender for babies 😌
but anyway, i love the backsound, furnish, and house stuff in sims 1. so classy 😋
Because in vanilla Sims 1 you couldn't leave your House, and increasing skills, furnishing, and making Friends was the only thing you could do. In vanilla Sims 3, you could leave your House, and even free roam around. (No free roam in any other Sim Game)
The good ole days 😊
Oh i need this music in sims 4
This game is so beautiful and my favorite sims game. I wish I had a way to play it.😢 I have sims 2 super collection on my Mac desktop but they don’t have this one and I can’t use oldgame downloads because it won’t support windows
3 aquariums & 3 pool tables 😂??
That mansion looks awesome with all of the new furniture. Jimbob must have been very successful, very lucky, or both to have something so grand and majestic all to himself.
Nice! Keep it up!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO! :D
I play sim3 and back to play sim1 like when I was a child. I found sim1 really hard to keep your sim in good mood. Everything went red so fast. I tried to make my sim happy and it took 1 day in game 🥺 and when sim sleep till the morning every mood goes red again.
I felt weird for a sec when he didn't put the kitchen worktops in the corners, so...i realised...it's not sims 3
Great to see Sims 1 again after all this time. How did you get yours to launch though? I’ve got the base game and Superstar expansion pack but can’t get it to launch. Any ideas?
They won't launch in Windows 8 and onwards. The last Windows system to be able to launch them was 7, so my suggestion is to play them in a virtual machine.
@@Zilkenian_Davenport thanks for the reply and tip. I’ve seen people talk about virtual machines before but never used one before. How do you set them up? Are they legit?
@@mbarnard5947 Yes, they are legit, and used by technicians (hello!) to test things in dummy systems.
VirtualBox is a free choice, and very user friendly.
@@Zilkenian_Davenport Brilliant. Thanks for the advice. Would be great to get this (and my other retro titles!) going again. Does the virtual machine come bundled with old windows or do I need that separately?
@@mbarnard5947 You need to get an old Windows' system separatedly. VirtualBox is just the tool, if you will. Nowadays, there are people who posted old versions of Windows out there, and since they're kind of considered vintage at this point, they're fairly eaisy to find (unless things have changed in a year).
Sin querer eliminé esta mención, alguien sabe como puedo recuperarla o al menos un video o foto para reconstruirla ?
Loved this game, but seriously who designed these houses. The wall and floor colours were absolutely disgusting.
Also what's funny is how dated some the items look. Bring back memories for me
❤
My way of getting lots of money for buying things? The motherlode cheat. Simple as that.
There wasn't motherlode here, it was either rosebud, or klaplaucius, and each one gave you only 1k.
@@Zilkenian_Davenport no. rosebud gave you more money depending on how many semi colons you added to it. or something like that. i would have a million in seconds
@@agecali7893 Yes, but in it's base, it only gave you 1k. Addons don't count, since you could very well not know them at first.
Which sim 1 is this? Which version?
The Sims 1: Complete Edition (The Sims: Deluxe w/ remaining 6 expansion packs)
Skyrim
Burn it!!! Burn it all!! Mwuhahahahaha!
