@@justinmiller7953 of course his o line is terrible. Play calling really wasn't terrible. Taylor did play conservative. He had some head scratching moments but didn't call a bad game. Burrow definitely had lots of mistakes. The mistakes are very obvious if you look at the all 22 tapes. Burrow has a whole lot to learn. But if he does get some of those thing fix he will have a bright and successful future. But to say burrow playing didn't contribute to the loss then you didn't pay attention or only watched tv broadcast because burrow definitely could have kept drives alive and didn't.
The fact that Joe did what he did with that badly dislocated pinky on his throwing hand he got in the Charger game makes him 10 times more impressive in my book. It never healed and he had surgery on it. No one ever even talked about it, including him.

I'm a Steelers fan but I will admit that he impressed me with his toughness but I was more impressed with Baker Mayfield playing with a shoulder injury while at the same time, Russell Wilson was out with a finger injury.

Yes, his bad knee was worse in the early season, but the other knee got dinged in the game against the Chargers. Not as bad, but still enough to slow him down.
I like Joe Burrow. I'm not a Bengals fan, but Joe Burrow has quickly become one of my favorite NFL QBs. It's not just the guy's on field talents, he's funny in interviews, dresses with style, and just has a likable swagger.

Ha, he will never be allowed to leave the building. If he continues to get crushed he'll suffer career threatening injuries. Technically there is no actual way for any player to walk to free agency from the draft for at least 7 years. For a first-rounder it's 8. If he leaves it'll be due to early retirement like Andrew Luck.
Mike Brown has already stated that we will be getting help for Burrow.

The Bengals are such an underdog team, I wouldn’t doubt that Rams players wouldn’t have minded if they won. Either way, history was that day. It wasn’t the Bengals winning their first SB, but Matt Stafford finally getting the ring he deserves .

I agree the ability but I amp the line and other areas just wasn't there.. bringing in chase made it fun again for Joe and allowed him to get his confidence back throwing that ball first of an injury just wait till we see what he does this year

I have never seen a pair of young QB's look this amazing (Burrow & Hurbert) it will be fun to watch these 2 go at each other for the next 15 - 16 years. I was able to meet Hurbert and asked him to sign a pic for me, I asked him who is the guy you are looking most to have a run against? He said "No question Joe B . He has freakish talent" I love both of these kids and if like me and you collect Sports Cards they are absolute must haves and don't worry about the high end stuff just a nice Donruss Optis Rated Rookie of each is a solid start with Burrow's selling at around $45-60 raw and Hurbert $80 - $110 raw (raw means non graded)

Why doesn’t anyone also mention that although this was Joe’s second season in the NFL, it was truthfully his first full season since he was hurt most of his rookie year. No other quarterback has ever taken a team so bad, straight to the Super Bowl in his first full year in the NFL.
And despite the injury keeping him off the field through most preseason games, this was his first true offseason.

The Bengals have a very bright future. They got to the Superbowl because of signing many free agents on defense. That is why they won. Their defense was the best they ever had. Both games against the Chiefs the Bengals only gave up 3 points in the 2nd half. Burrow was hurt in the superbowl and had a horrible line. On the final drive, he just had no chance. The Bengals fixed the offensive line with 3 veterans. They added more depth from the draft and have 2 guys coming back that were injured last year. Burrow will have time to throw. With a very good defense, which they also upgraded, they are improved everywhere. Tough schedule, but they can get back to the Superbowl .

A part of Joe's toughness can be traced back to a little known fact about him. In high school he was a two way player. A QB on offense and I believe he was a DB on defense. Maybe a linebacker. He was used to getting hit and administering hits. There are videos of his high school games that confirm this. In one playoff game he scored the winning TD with just moments left, then sealed the deal by intecepting a pass by the other team. And here is a guy who has found ways to score in just about every way possible. There is another high school video that shows him scoring a TD by catching his OWN PASS! Close to the goal line, one of his passes gets tipped. Players on both sides seemed to freeze in their tracks, mouths agape. But not Joe... Oh no. He raced to the end zone and caught the pass as it wobbled towards the ground. Helluva player and a great person to boot! As an LSU fan I can tell you that though we didn't realize it at the time, the day he stepped on campus was the day the Tigers in effect won a sort of College Football Lottery...

Saying he's a tier behind Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson is not looking at the facts. It was his first FULL season in the NFL. Josh Allen's first year was spent mostly on the ground, and he took 2 years to break 4k yards, and a 90 qbr. Lamar Jackson has backslid since teams figured out how to play against a running QB like him, only getting an 87 qbr last season (not bad, but nowhere near the 108.3 of Burrow). Mahomes is just good, though, and has been since he entered the league... there's a reason he has a ring.

Who knows if he can play his entire career in Cincy, though? If Mahomes gets a 500 million contract out of KC, then imagine what Burrow might get when it comes time to re-up? Especially if he gets them into the playoff every year til his rookie contract is up. Bengals might have to mortgage the city just to keep him.

Palmer couldn't get it done with Chad Johnson, TJ, Chris Henry, Rudi, Whitworth, Terrell Owens, Willie Anderson etc. He's been cheap in the past, but he has a history of paying people when he thinks he has a contender. Though you'd never know that if your info comes from the mainstream sports prognosticators.
