    I don't see a link in the description to the replacement bearing's you used. I thought you said that would be included in description below....no? Or, will I find a part # on my bike cargo trailer wheel bearings? I believe my wheels and bearings are identicle to what your using. I am basing that on my wheel is 16"" and my axle is identical to yours.

    Thanks I needed this went to a bike shop with a 16-inch wheel from my trailer and they said just buy a new wheel lol seems like a waste I just want to replace the bearings or the Hub I was wondering if you knew the size of the bearings that you used from this video just seems like every bike shop I go to doesn't want to seem to help me fix my bike they just want to sell me one

      Yea they can't make money with simple, cheap and quick fixes, so they focus on complex systems, higher-end parts, and repairs requiring special tools and expert knowledge.
      Measure the bearing you have, or the hole size and axle size it should be at.

    Great video IMO ... you said that you were going to post the bearing numbers or designation in the comments section ... please do.

    Very detailed, well done. Picked up a Bell Pet Trailer of the curb so i can pick up supply to build a heavy duty one. The wheels are really wobbly. Any tips?

    Very informative! Surprisingly your rims have less rust but your bearings have more rust than my wheels. I don't think my bearings are seized, but I'll definitely look into the sealed bearings if I have to replace them. Do you think some oil or grease would keep them working longer or is that a waste of time on what seems to be cheap bearings?

      People slap on some extra grease to protest the axle bearings, just to avoid replacing them more often than absolutely necessary

    Do you have any tips for removing the cartridge bearings from the hub, if they don't come out with some moderate tapping from the reverse side?

      MORE power!!!! After soaking in oil for some time.
      ok, that could work, with precision.
      Otherwise, a bearing puller could be made, hambini on his channel uses one frequently th-cam.com/video/VIFSl5VdExA/w-d-xo.html

    Thank you. Appreciate your attention to the fine points one has to look out for along the way. I have a related question I hope you can help me with. Got a trailer that's missing its wheels (prob. originally 20in), but the short axle rods were left on it. I would like to use 26in bike front wheels (got plenty of them around) on this trailer, so do you think it is possible to use them instead of the 20in wheels without major drama? I know they are two different hubs: one is fitted with "sealed" bearings for the short smooth-surface axle to go through like in your video. the other has a threaded axle to go through the 26in wheel''s hub and probably has loose ball bearings sitting in grease in a donut cone with a cover, lock nuts, spacers and another lock nut on either side. Have you ever attempted such a switch?

      If there are axles, a wheel could be fitted on them (somehow). I have no videos of creative wheel fitting, but thanks for watching!

    Thanks for your video. I have a bent axle on my trailer and was wondering if you have any advice on how to straighten it, please? The axle is around 17cm.

      @theoverengineer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not recommended, but can be done with tapping and checking with straight edge. Could take an hour, but the axle is likely to bend again accompanied with loss of strength (like a wire is getting easier to bend after the first 3 bends until it breaks with minimal effort).
      Get a stronger one, like in this video 2:05 - 2:45 th-cam.com/video/S4y5S21RAkQ/w-d-xo.html

    absolute garbage quality, ive had many bicycle pedal and wheel bearings become completely worn to shreds in only one year of usage. the more we dissemble and repair stuff the more we realize how its made to barely last to begin with and everything is disposable. ive seen school bus with 1,500,000km on the counter and NO rust beneath, meanwhile my car has 350,000km and its falling apart.

      I bet the school bus cost more than your car.
