I just found your video and it is the best of the "bunny from a square" that are available. The shaping details really make it superior to the rest as does your clear instruction. Glad I found it.
I just found your channel and I knit for charity, so these bunnies are perfect to sell! I just loved the finishings of your bunny, and I love the bigger ones too! Can't wait to see what else you make! Thank you x
Hi Jan, I'm really pleased you enjoyed the video. The bunnies are great for selling and can be embellished in all kinds of ways. A group of us made a load for a community event where we hid them all over the area for kids to find and keep. We made little labels with a little back story for that bunny and let the kids name them. It was lovely seeing the older kids finding more than one then guiding the smaller ones to them, or putting them back for the littlies. Have fun with your making. Rachael
Oh I've got to get my needles out! I made 2 bunnies for my Grandsons from other instructions and the ears are backwards!!! Your version is wonderful, such clear directions. Thank you so much.
What a wonderful pattern and idea! Thank you!! I used felted squares from wool jumpers to make mine and I put a handful of navy beans inside the lower body to make her stand up! It worked so well!
Love this. It popped up in my recommendations. Very easy to follow your instructions and you have such a lovely calming voice. I'm going to be giving this a try. Have subscribed too.
Could you also use the wool as a thread, instead of cotton thread, when sculpting the face and sewing up the neck and back behind the ears to close the openings ?
Novice knitter here. I am of the impression that stockinette stitch inherently has some curl. If you want something flat, I suggest garter stitch. It’s what I made *my* bunny out of tonight.
Thanks so much for this! Adorable. I've been looking for something to do w/some fuschia yarn left over from Women's March hat-making last year. Some fuschia bunnies will be perfect.
Hi Macy, The stitches will very much depend on the yarn you’re using - so thicker yarn will need fewer stitches and thinner will need more. If you take a look at the band around the yarn there’s a lot of information on there, including the numbers of stitches to make an inch so you should be able to work out how many cast on stitches are needed from that. I hope that helps and wasn’t too vague! Have fun. R
Try to match the colour to the colour of the yarn you used to knit the square, or at least the same tone. The shaping thread needs to blend in and not be obvious.
Didn't work, only one side of the rabbit started to pull inward, the right side just stayed flat. Oh well I tried lie 15 times with this I'm done for real now XD

Thank you very much, loved how you explained everything .
I agree! I was about to say the same. The little tweaks make all the difference 😊

Excited to try this for a personal touch to a baby shower gift. Thank you!
I liked how you explained about folding the bunny ears, and creating stability for the base.
Your bunny from square is the best.

Used a macramé square.
Worked well..made from a 3mm cord.
Loved your tutorial, maybe now my ears will turn out better. Many thanks!
Thank you....those are darling. I'm going to try that 'sculpting' technique :)
New to knitting, thanks so much! Super clear instructions, how easy was that? Thank you so much.
So cute! Your tutorial is very well done and easy to follow! Thank you.
EXACTLY what I was looking for... thank you! XXX
This is a really nice video. Thank you
Thank you for this lovely tutorial.
I love your video, very easy to follow. I tried using yarn instead of thread and it works great.
A good innovation. Thread can be quite harsh so yarn or embroidery thread is a good alternative - well spotted!
What a wonderful video and I love your bunnies! I do not knit but I crochet, going to try it with a crocheted square.
I’d love to see it when it’s finished. Diversity exists in the bunny world.
Lovely, thank you.
What a fab video loving the bunny 🐰 my next knitting project for my 3 grandaughters
Clever and cute, perfect gift for grt grandson, thank you for clear instructions, subscribed !

You're welcome!
Fantastic, I'm going to have a go making some now. Thanks 🥰
so detailed thanks
is there anyway you can show a video on how to knit a bunny ear?
Could you also use the wool as a thread, instead of cotton thread, when sculpting the face and sewing up the neck and back behind the ears to close the openings ?
Hi,
If you check your yarn for strength and are happy that it won’t snap when you’re pulling it tight, then there’s no reason why not.
@@rachaelgreenland5233 Thank you, I'll try that.
How many stitches for this bunny you made ,and what size needle please! So cute thank you so much!!!
I tried bunny rabbit it came well
How did you get your piece so flat? I’m knotting in stockinnette stitch and my piece is curled up.
Novice knitter here. I am of the impression that stockinette stitch inherently has some curl. If you want something flat, I suggest garter stitch. It’s what I made *my* bunny out of tonight.
Can you use the same principle to make a bunny head for a comfort blanket ?
Thanks so much for this! Adorable. I've been looking for something to do w/some fuschia yarn left over from Women's March hat-making last year. Some fuschia bunnies will be perfect.
Fab idea as I'm not an adventurous knitter. Ears weren't as great as yours though!! Stay safe x
How do you anchor the yarn or thread for embroidery on the face? Both at start and end, as for nose or eyes? Thank you.
very cute rabbit and you thankssssssssss
how many cast on stitches do you need for the square?

What is the color of the thread please? Thank you for a wonderful video.

😊😊❤
How many stitches do we need
How do I get instructions to print off please, would like to knit some for Ukraine 🇺🇦 x
Would be it possible not to stuff the bottom and put a Cadbury chocolate egg 🥚 instead?
I don't see why not! Sounds fun.
@@rachaelgreenland thank you 😀
Lo copio de Tejer con Lucila. Al menos podrías decirlo. Eso acá en Argentina se llama plagio.
Oye, disculpa la molestia. Tú sabrás cómo se llama este patrón en español en el sitio de Lucila. Soy principiante. Muchas gracias.

I see a picture at the beginning of the TH-cam then it turns black
Such adorable little Bunnies! Loved your tutorial and the easy way you have in showing us "the ropes." thank you so much. I will try this tonight!
