Thanks mate .. It helps a lot when you're trying to figure these old saws out ... I've got a 850,700,600,10-10 and they are way trickier than the Stihl's I have and use almost daily. Good luck to you. Thanks for posting.
No problem, glad to hear it is of some use. I have a few of the old Mac's I like to use. That clutch was real stubborn so figured I would make a video for others as I couldn't find anything myself 👍
Thanks for posting. I am trying to pull a McCulloch Timberbear 600013414 clutch and don't want to crack the clutch shoe mount. I assume you put the puller jaws on the outside of the clutch?
@@Hammerandhilt Thanks Rob. While I was eating lunch I found a guy on the Forestry Forum that said to tap on the end of the clutch shaft. I took a small plastic mallet, maybe 10 oz, and tapped the shaft while holding up the saw by the clutch. Two tapscand it came right off. If it hadn't I was going to use a puller like you did. I think if it had been at all burnt or rusted the tapping wouldn't have worked. All cleaned greased and back together. I'll try starting it tomorrow. 😆😎 Thanks again. I subbed and shared to FB. 👍😆😎

Yes I used the gear puller to pull against the flywheel as it was the only place I could pick up on, cheers Rob.

Cheers, glad to hear you got it all sorted. Love the old saws, built to last.
