Great video! I stumbled upon it through a quick Google search and was pleasantly surprised to find exactly what I needed. Thank you so much! By the way, I'm currently writing a paper and utilizing Mendeley Cite for Word on my Mac. I was wondering if there is a way to apply the same guideline for changing font style in Mendeley Cite as well?

Thank you so much for watching! I haven't used Mendeley Cite on Mac, so I'm afraid I can't offer any advice. I do hope you find a solution, and I wish you all the best with your paper!

Thanks for the video. It it applicable to the citation by mendeley application?

Thank you for watching! I don't use Mendeley, so I'm afraid I can't answer your question. However, if the citations rely on Word's built-in styles, then it should work. I wish you all the best with your project!

Good video. How do you change the font size in a citation superscript? My default is 12 pt, and I want the default superscript set at 10 pt. Thank you.

Thank you for watching! Are you inserting the superscript with the Citation tool, the Insert Footnote or Endnote tool, or the Superscript tool on the Home tab?

@@erinwrightwriting Thanks for the reply. After I sent my message, I kept plugging away and finally accomplished the task. There is apparently no easy way to change the font size such that they are the same at the bottom and in the text at the end of a citation. Perhaps you may have a straightforward method of doing that.

@@MarkGreen-t7l Thank you for the clarification. I errantly thought you wanted to change the font size for the superscript in the text and in the footnote. Unfortunately, I don't know a straightforward method to change the size only in the text...but I will certainly be on the lookout for a solution!

Thanks for this video. I am looking for a way to make en dashes in comments. Can you assist? You can't insert from symbol as that is greyed out. You can't type -- to get the en dash as you do when typing on a Word doc. Also I have use British/South African English and have to keep changing the language in comments from US to UK/SA English, is there a way to change this permanently? I automatically have my Word set to the proofing language I use, but the comments remains stubbornly in US English so I have to manually change each document I work on.
I also use a compact keyboard so I can't insert the en dash using the number pad with alt (as there is no number pad). Hope you can assist!

Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a way to insert the em dash into the comments without using the number pad available on a full size keyboard--other than copying and pasting it from within the text, of course. I do have an older video showing how to change the proofing language for comments: th-cam.com/video/4A0ej-QdY2M/w-d-xo.html. I wish you all the best!
