Here is my cover of this classic song, originally recorded and written by composer Henry Mancini. This version is based on Duane Eddy's recording, with a lot of inspiration from Messer Chups' live cover. I am playing a 2014 Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster through a Deluxe Reverb Tone Master. Fabulous Tom, what's amazing I lived thru the Era you cover so brilliantly, every day of my younger years I was subject to listening to it all. It was an everyday affair. As always great to hear something new from you. It wasn’t until the early 80’s that I became an ‘instrumental rock’ fanatic. When the internet came along I began to discover so many(The Spotnicks, Jerry Cole & His Spacemen, etc.). I am always in awe of your playing ability. My only claim to fame is I once paid to hang out for a weekend with these people (Nokie Edwards, Mason Williams, Mickey Dolenz, Mark Lindsay).
You come up with some of the coolest tunes, especially surf rock. One of my TH-cam teachers.
