- Are you into long distance pumping (LDP) but frustrated that certain Reverse Kingpin (RKP) trucks popular in the LDP scene are letting you down?
Here are 3 awesome RKP style trucks that are not only durable & efficient, but are a joy to pump. In this review I’ll cover the 1) Melonenkacke Space truck, 2) Ronin Precision Katana, and 3) Scythe Reaper (LDP cut).

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. At the moment I'm looking for a (much) better alternative for my Bennett so I got some inspiration of what to choose.
Great Video!
Now I have to Set Up ronins :D
Also great Footage!
I think however the music is a little too much! Also I think Your Camera or Smartphone has a better microphone, than the one you are using!
I would love to see a Video with the current quality with some better Audio!
2:15 That kingpin looks very sloppy in its hole.
@@nickamarit it’s snug, no freeplay
The Scythe has nos bushing boardside, wich means also that on rough bad roads you will feel more the vibrations. This is a strong point to take in consideration vs the MK space Truck. Another brand not being seen is EXILE. Why, has it is used a lot has a pumping truck, especially with Kore insert to avoid the spherical for king pin breaking ?
I thought that, but it isn't that bad compared to a "regular" rkp with a spherical in the hanger. Exiles are good, never tried mine with a kore insert in place of the spherical, I changed 2 kingpins in 2 years and never snapped one!
@@cgvisuals8565 I’ve got two scythe trucks and the no bushing board side is not an issue that overrides the benefits. Exile is a poppy style truck which has seen kingpin breakages here, so I didn’t cover it as it didn’t fit my criteria.
Would Ronins really make sense for LDP? If so I would slap a set on my Supersonic.
@@TheReagentX Yes they do! I have them on my bracket boards. It’s worth a try if you have a set of trucks around.
the weight isn't an issue?
@@TheReagentX nope. I find the performance benefits really outweigh the weight penalty…plus they are not the heaviest trucks around, and it’s really small in grand scheme of things with the LDP setups especially with 90 to 100mm wheels.
The scythe is the best but not the best looking.
What do you consider LDP truck width?
I would say > 130, 135mm is probably safe to avoid fork bite with most large wheels. But my go to for RKP is 145 to 150mm
@@distracted_diner-iq2gn Fair, I’ve been running 135 F / 125 R with Karmas and it works quite well. Perhaps a video on why you like the wider widths :)
@@luvinfunvan haha it probably won’t warrant a video on its own. Based on my tinkering, and some others , wider widths seem to allow a higher top speed for pumping, at the cost of ease. Of course I can compensate it with softer bushings. Personally my main concern is clearing the fork and board from wheelbite esp when RKP trucks place the axles a lot closer to the board than TKP trucks. Hope this helps 😂
