A: You go, girl! I am so interested in the direction your channel is taking. There are more of us out there thinking about moving and enhancing our lives in different directions. This episode is going to speak to more women than you might have ever imagined. Again, why aren't more people subscribing?
This sounds exciting! I'm a 74 year old woman (with 4 rescue cats), live alone and am fiercely independent. So I'm all about learning to take on new challenges to help develop my resilience. Besides that I think you are a great role model as someone who has survived the challenges of single parenthood and just kept on moving on.❤
@@myBIGtinyhouselife While I agree with you, Adelina, that we're all more capable than we think, I also see you as a delightful role model whom I adore. You know I love your channel & no worries; with your content, your channel will continue to grow!!🥰🙌🏼☺️
I have two generators that I have never used.My husband handled that aspect of our lives .You have encouraged me to try myself …I try to be as independent as I can .
Hi Adelina, I really enjoy all the topics you’ve covered, from tiny house and van build/living to plant-exclusive cooking and everything in between. Your personality, self sufficiency, and compassion for animals is what first drew me in and continues to keep me coming back for each video. I value and am thankful for whatever you choose to share. You’re an amazing role model for living your best life and sharing what you’ve learned along the way! 💕
I will be staying to watch and learn with you in 2024 Adelina! Your channel is enlightening, informative and fun…..as women we need to be stoic and resilient, also prepared for whatever comes along. I love how organised you are and thanks for showing me some great tips! 💖🌞🐈⭐
I love the 'nerdie' budget stuff!!! I need to get back to using cash because it definitely helps me save more!! As a single woman in my early 60's I'm all for the ideas you have for your channel and being more self-sufficient!!
I ❤❤❤ your explanation of stoicism as “practical preparation” and the idea of being ready to handle whatever comes your way without living in constant dread. One step I’ve made in that direction is to always fill my gas tank before it drops below half-full. That started as an emergency readiness practice but has turned out to be a great stress reducer a few times when a week just got unexpectedly crazy. I look forward to your 2024 content (and van adventures - yay!), and I hope the creation is as rewarding for you as the viewing is for us. ☺️
I'm so excited about the new direction of your channel. I have not been able to find many women's lifestyle channels that doesn't revolve around makeup or decorating. There's so much more to life. I've enjoyed your tiny house videos but am more interested in women's lifestyle, particularly 50+. Thank you so much!
Thank you for the wallet and cash idea. I too have budget issues being a senior and on social security. Today I am going to sit down and figure out your system for me and get started. Thank you again. Love your channel
"Grooming "us to leave cash, to accept credit or digital is NOT the best option for me either. Awareness and making a choice is of more importance. When someone says, everyone does it that way, it is an invitation to "follow". I hear alarms go off with this thinking...it does not lead to critical thinking or awareness. Following has always gotten me into trouble! I like also, to talk to my cashier, to be thanked for my patronage and feel like I am part of a community. Thank you for reinforcing that we can be wise and use our intelligence to master our lives in ways that compliment awareness. Happy 2024! Stay warm and thank you for sharing. ☃
I am very excited for this new direction for your channel! I am a single woman in her 40's that's all about self improvement...in all regards. In the past several years I have really exposed myself to much information on mindfullness, stoicism, self reliance, suffiency and more! No one owes me anything in life, I don't assume or judge people, their circumstances etc....I just mind my own business and live my own life...by my standards, not my neighbours, friends, family or any social media platform...it's been very freeing and definetely rewarding 🥰❤🧘♀️🌞
We are in similar spaces in a lot of ways. I don’t have kids but we are both single women interested in constant growth, and as an added bonus, you’re vegan too! I find your videos to be empowering and inspiring. I’m looking forward to following whatever direction you take!
I love your budgeting organization in your wallet. When I was getting out of debt I used and still have one that is very similar. All the little labelled dividers. Love it. It’s awesome!! Nerds unite!! 😎👍🏻
That is a good idea. I don't normally sit there and play with my money after I get it. I normally fill my tabs when I get to the grocery store and the van sits so high that no one can see in unless they are standing at my window. I did it this way for video purposes but I'm always aware of my surroundings.
Hello Adelina! It's been wonderful to follow your journey, and all the changes that are happening. Without a doubt, I will continue here! Thank you for sharing such pertinent information with us. 🌻
Going through my subscriptions today, winnowing those that are no longer of interest or pertinent to my life currently. Watched this episode…and you’re a keeper. Maybe one day I’ll be a tiny house dweller, but for now you’re ideas sounds just right. Thank you
I like where your channel is going. I was raised to know how to do things for myself. My father would say..."what are you going to do if your mother isn't around any more?" So he made sure we knew how to do things! He made us help him with fixing things around the house so we at least saw what was done and not intimidated by tools, etc. I hate being dependent on a man to fix something and feel like a person who comes in your house to fix things might be taking advantage of a woman hoping she doesn't know much - it happens! I like your channel because in the end there is no man behind the scene with the "fat wallet" or muscle helping you get things done. I see many renovation videos and in the end there is a man that is lending monetary and physical help. Keep doing what you are doing! I look forward to more videos! And I love your budgeting system and thoughts on interacting with people when you get gas/groceries! It is becoming a lost art!
Your original intro with the "intentional living" feels like it will be more prominent this year and I appreciate intentional living. Kudos to you, Adelina!
I am listening to this while I’m fixing a leaky faucet! Afterwards, I will install my internet box. At 74, I need all the self sufficiency ideas I can get!
I'm a single woman and (at the age of 48) I am finally about to buy my own home after years of saving and many hard and painful times. I've been following you for quite a while and I was so glad to find your channel - your independence and self sufficiency have been inspiring to me. The subjects you plan to cover have been much on my mind lately, particularly learning about sensible preparedness and tackling intimidating tasks, so I'm super pleased to hear you will be moving in this direction! I wish you and Sophie a wonderful 2024 🙂
I really like the direction you're taking your channel. Personally, I have no desire to live in a tiny house, but I've found it so interesting to learn about it. But most of all, I've enjoyed following your life. Like you, I'm most interested in living an authentic, intentional life and have found your channel so uplifting because I'm watching someone who is doing the same thing. Keep it up. Yours is one of my top three channels I follow. I especially enjoyed your video today about how you manage your cash flow. Many years ago when I was raising my son as a single parent following a divorce and living on a small salary, I used what was called an envelope system which is similar to what you currently use. I think it's great! Thank you for your willingness to share your life with others on your own terms. You're an inspiration to many.
I will always watch your videos because I love your content on everything. Also, I would love to see more about your cash system and money management. Love your home but love all your content you show. Food is awesome and all your adventures as well. I have always been nerdy about my finances too. Tying to always account for every penny so to say which gives me peace of mind knowing what I have. I am a bit of a control freak myself and wanting to take care of myself in every way possible. I always want to learn more. Knowing as much as possible on subjects is a smart thing so you can be totally self-confident and empowered. I prefer to have things in place to keep me going. I feel we are on the same track. I want to be stoic myself. Being ready and prepared. Thank you for being you and being here.😀
That sounds like a beautiful, fun and very interesting plan for your channel. Staying put both feet with you and sticking around to learn more with you and from you. Thank you soooo much for being so open with us. You have no idea the ideas you plant in my head each week, and the smile you bring to my face. Thank you and all the best for 2024 Adalina!!!!!
Something I did this week, as we are expecting some colder weather, was to put up a curtain rod. Sounds simple, right? I have a patio door on the rear of my cottage. I bought some insulated drapes to cover the doors and realized I have never installed hardware for a rod. That was my husband’s job. It’s 84” long so it wasn’t easy, but I got it done! I got out my drill, level & stepladder and after several tries it was done. The room was so much warmer this morning and I wondered why I procrastinated so long - fear of failure I suppose. Looking forward to some diy type videos. Your instructional videos in the past have been very helpful. Your patient and thorough style of teaching is appreciated.
It's always amazing to me how much easier a task is than it seemed before I try it. I mean it takes work but it's often not that complicated once you've done it. Good for you!!! ❤️😊
Btw, first thing I was thinking when you got in your van, lock your doors hun while you are distributing your cash into departments. It’s not paranoid but people watch people in parking lots especially those coming out of banks.
I'm a recent empty nester, single mom, and I enjoy ALL of your content. Even your cooking and I'm not vegan. Your budget videos have been great for me!
Love the budget nerdiness. I am paid bi-weekly as well. I budget for two pay periods per month. The extra pay period in the beginning of the year is the vacation fund and the extra pay period in the second half of the year is my Christmas fund. 💲
Adelina, I think the direction you’re taking your channel is spot on. Over the past five years, I’ve focused on self sufficiency…learning about organic vegetable gardening and food preservation. Because I’m in Alberta, I don’t have a long growing season so I will do things like buy frozen organic mixed veggies from Costco and dehydrate them, then store them in mason jars. I recently purchased a digital pressure canner and I’m learning to preserve food that way. There is so much to learn and the journey is fun. I will definitely stay with you on your channel because you are interesting, friendly and honest.
Dave Randy’s cash budgeting plan was made available to me in the Montreal area years ago. But decades before he came around, my late aunt taught it to me via her sock drawer. Heehee but seriously. If you’re looking for self sufficiency, have you considered growing your own sprouts which are mega vitamin sources, or making your own kombucha (been doing both for years) & I just returned back to sourdough bread making again. Granted, one needs room for supplies, storage and making but knowing how to do them is another tool in the box. Last yr I putted around with dehydrating food and how to can meals. I’ve yet to dive fulling into the later. Good luck with your new lessons. Hit me up if you ever want to learn how to knit. Blessings for 2024.
Yessss! I am here for it 😊 I am going to be a single mom (of teens) within this next year or so, and that is what drew me to tiny house living. I love the idea of learning together and look forward to your content.
Hi Adelina, I believe time has a way of moving us forward. We change and grow as your channel. I can only speak for myself, when I say you have formed a bond with me as a viewer a trust. I hope to see you grow and accomplish your goals for yourself and your channel. I look forward to seeing your journey as I continue on mine.
We do things exactly the same! In the USA there is a program started by Dave Ramsey that is an envelope system that works on the same principal as your wallet system. We have been doing it for years, we pay cash for our gas too. One perk, credit card skimmers that steal your info. are on gas pumps most of the time, and so you don't have to worry about that if you pay cash. We have always lived on a budget, and I actually like being aware of what we spend. Great video as always!!
Thank you for sharing. I do something similar with cash, but I don’t carry it with me. I have envelopes I keep in a locked fireproof box & take what I need when I go to town. I also don’t live close to stores so I plan my trips by what I need to do on a particular day. I certainly can do a much better job budgeting as it’s getting more difficult now that I’m retired and a widow. It’s been tough with just one retirement income now but it’s doable and I count my blessings.
Thanks for commenting. That's awsome that you already use a similar system! I'll often take the amounts that are accumulating (such as for beauty, etc.) and leave them at home if the amount is getting high. Mostly, when I pull the funds out I go directly to fill the tank, which takes up about $130 out of the wallet that day and then get groceries. So I don't actually end up carrying around that much cash with me.
I’m here for alternative living on Vancouver Island. I’ve been wanting to move there and your experience is helping a lot. Your plan for 2024 sounds great! Look forward to it. Thank you 🙏💐🤗
Like you my Mom was a single parent too. She would challenge me solve out problems to a logical conclusion. Mind you I was 10 years old when she started doing this. Her favorite expression was "just humor me". Later she say " being a girl doesn't mean you are limited " its the other way around " you are limitless ". Therefore, you can do anything. So, I can say in the last 60 years those challenges that came my way I've met and moved forward.
Excellent Excellent Excellent!! I can’t wait for this coming year’s videos!!! All that you’ve mentioned is also what I’m currently interested in and skills I want to grow within myself! My husband and I live in a 5th wheel, which is also a “tiny home”. Also, though we are not vegan, I have made a number of your wonderful, delicious recipes!! Thank you, Adalina, for ALL your videos!💕😊
I started cash stuffing and find it so helpful. Anything left over goes into saving challenges and change jar. I agree. It’s harder to hand over cash for impulse buys.
I started food preserving and canning. Love it so much. I live in an apartment and am hopeful to buy my own tiny home. ❤❤❤. Also want to bake sourdough bread.
Hi Ruth, same here. I have a little binder with plastic zip envelopes but prefer my regular wallet in my purse. In that binder I have some savings challenges as well as 'sinking funds' for car maintenance, holidays, etc. Anything left over from groceries/household as well as anything extra I earn from a side hustle and TH-cam goes in there. It's so fun....we are both nerds I guess ❤️😁
@@myBIGtinyhouselife I’m loving it. Makes you more aware of how you spend your money. I have a sinking funds binder, savings challenges, and a 100 envelope challenge. Plus a 5 cent saving challenge. Love @Cdngirlcashstuffer.
@@ruthanneflear3122. Hey Ruth. I sourdough bread bake. Best advice is, get started. I have had some learning curves but once you get it, it’s marvellous. There’s lots of free info in TH-cam and on fb. My canning skills are slowly coming along. I’d love to get a good move on with it but need to make the space for it first.
Hey girl, I'm excited, I welcome change and it sounds like it's going to be an interesting ride. And I have to agree with you on not letting life happen to us... that's my take on my time here as well. Almost 60 and will be experiencing extended seasonal work-5 months in a new place, slow living if you will.( The last time I did that was about 30 years ago! ) I'm cut out for the less conventional way of life😊. I'm excited for you as a creator and excited for us as viewers to see where this will take us. I think it will ignite or reignite or continue to ignite curiosity in all of us. For that reason...I'M IN!!!!💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 It's like you're inviting us to get in your van🚐 orderly, of course😂, and see where the road takes us. How fun! Can't wait!
You keep it interesting . Appreciate what you share. Would love to live in a tiny house like yours, it does not seem tiny and my cat would love that loft area!
I came across your channel when I was captivated by the tiny house movement. I still enjoy some visits to DIY or self-designed tiny homes, some info about taking care of them, though I am not getting one. I have stayed with your channel because you are a real person! Your life takes the twists and turns like all of us have, you think about them, tackle them and solve them as best you can! And very well indeed, I feel! Our lives are more comprehensive and complex than sticks and mortar or wheels and builds. I have learned how to simplify my clothes, enjoy cooking more, see the beautiful places you have lived, and enjoy and practice your approach to living an intentional life. Looking forward to whatever directions you go in, and thank you, Angelina!
Hi Adelina - I love your nerdiness! As newly retired, I have been known to have a high score on the nerdy scale when it comes to budgeting - looking forward to your 2024 videos.
I love your system. You are correct about cash carrying target. I did chuckle as you were setting in your van chatting and hands with cash flying around advertising that you have cash. lol stay warm stay nerdy!
Wonderful visit with you; thanks for sharing! I love learning & trying new things even at my age of 71 & believe it gives me more excitement to life. This is why I love watching another woman achieve her dreams with enthusiasm, as you do on your channel. Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦
For me, almost 99% of my shopping is done online (no car) for convenience. It definitely has created a space for that impulsive shopping you mentioned! I've seen a similar envelope method before, but I've never tried it myself given that almost all of my shopping is online. I think I need to actually do a budget, on paper or in an app and stick to it. I get really flaky, really fast and before you know it, I've spent a ton on convenience type of groceries, for example. I have future goals (including buying a TH), so I appreciate the motivation to find my own method of sticking to a proper budget. Also, I started watching due to my interest in TH, but I tend to stick around a channel because there is a variety of content - so you do you and I'll definitely stay tuned!
I like this video. As a 67 year old single woman, I need to start using cash again. This new chapter of life, needs me to be intentional. I am on social security and working part-time. Great video.
Thank you so much for this video. I find myself in very similar circumstances as you are facing. I am new to cold weather climate, new area, new home - lots of things to learn and overcome. Looking forward to gaining more confidence along with you on those life hurdles this year. You take care of you.
Wonderful video! You're not a nerd. Your wallet tabs reminded me of the envelope system only in a smaller version. I like the way you plan to take the channel. Keep up the great conversations.
Great stuff Adelina!!!! I'm fully on board with the direction you are taking, in fact have been taking for a while now and I love it. And I have just purchased a zipped wallet to help me budget my cash expenditure.
Can’t wait for more videos of everything you talk about!!! Thank you so much for your kind words and life advice ❤️ Ps: can’t wait for the generator video.. super intimidating for me but have always wanted to know how to use one. Thank you!!
Looking forward to your expanded content Adelina! I’d love to see you talk about your ease (and how you acquired it!) with living alone in a rural setting with no family (friends?) nearby. I think there are some of us who might enjoy your lifestyle but are fearful of the “what if’s”. A worrier by nature, I’d be wondering..what if my car breaks down and I need a lift to the repair shop? A ride to the doctor/hospital if I become ill? I enjoy your channel and while I’ve always been quite independent (in a big city setting!), I see you as brave in the way to you live your life-and I admire that! Thanks for sharing it with us!
I am several years older than you are & retired but I can always learn new ways. I also try to run most of my every day life in cash. I most often pay cash for groceries, household items, cat food, gas & meals out. My budget for those items is like you $300 a week. Hope you have a great week. ♥️🐈💐
I would be interested in knowing your favourite books. Both fiction and non fiction. Maybe an episode sharing which ones have had the biggest impact on you
I have been following your channel for several years. Our lives are very different but I always find something of interest in your videos. I really admire your lifestyle and the decisions you make. I was very independent when I was young. I bought a house as a single woman and could not get a conventional loan because I was a woman. I had to go to the government and get a minority loan. Getting a telephone and utilities in my own name was a challenge. Fortunately my father gave me good advice on establishing credit but I never had him sign anything for me which was what businesses wanted. I am obviously right much older than you. I have recently made a major life change. I am looking forward to your upcoming videos. Please include more on budgeting. I use a similar cash system but would love to hear more about yours. See you next week.
And again, you never disappoint. I too look forward to and am very excited about the upcoming content. I also believe that your subscribers are here for the duration! We enjoy your content. It will be fun learning stuff together. We'll all grow together! Also looking forward to the upcoming day and camping trips. Take care Adelina 🥰
I loved today's post and absolutely resonated with it! I am super excited about the direction that you are taking your channel into. I have been single for many years and struggle some days with figuring out how to do the simplest of tasks. Thank you so much for your continued learning, insights, and inspiration in helping others.
Love your cash system but I have a fantastic rewards credit card. With those rewards, I can get a lot of my household items (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc.) for free plus it builds my credit history. And, I often buy from Amazon because they often have the lowest per unit costs for so many items.
Hi Adelina, I very much resonate with the direction of your channel and will continue to be a regular viewer! Basic home repair and maintenance is always a great topic for us single women! I do also appreciate your financial topics as someone who has not really had to worry about money of late but is trying to plan for retirement at the end of the year. Thank you again for your channel!
Good morning Adelina, thanks for sharing your cash budgeting. That was an "aha" moment for me. I'm looking forward to learning with you in 2024! Oh, by the way, thank you for sharing your split pea soup recipe. I've made three different batches since I saw your video, it is so good. Calgary's weather is breaking tonight. 🤞 Take care
Good morning! I'm so glad you like that recipe. Yes, I've been keeping a close watch on Calgary weather because of my friends and family there. I"m glad to see it getting, well not warm but less cold! 😁
I really like your budgeting strategies and how you arrange everything in separate tabs in your wallet.😊 I enjoy all of your content, so I’m not leaving. I’m looking forward to the next chapter of your channel! 💕😊
I am enjoying your channel & I like the wallet/cash file system. One thing that you said that I if you get robbed thieves want credit cards. This really has me believing this may be true. Happy 2024 🎉
Thanks Adelina. I’m looking forward to your life adventures. I love watching you drive through country I’ve enjoyed visiting, and making your way through your life.
I very much enjoy the new direction your channel is taking. I am a 60 something woman edging closer to 70 something i believe we should never stop learning, searching or growing. I discovered Stoicism last year and highly recommend The Daily Stoic meditation book by Ryan Haliday or really any of his books. I committed to following him and completely immersing myself in Stoicism for all of 2023 and it has completely changed my life. Keep moving forward.❤
I haven't used cash here (Sweden) for several years. (Though we are advised to have some cash at home in case of emergencies.) I love your plans for the channel!
Your cash system is similar to the Dave Ramsey system. I am also a nerd (bigger group than you think) and appreciate these detailed videos! We are all managing more closely as well. Very inspiring! If you don’t keep close tabs on where your money goes it goes down the drain!!! I’m a witness!😊
While I do love your tiny house. I watch your channel because I like you and your authentic attitude. I totally agree with you that using cash makes you far more aware of what you are spending and I use cash 90% of the time. - Happy New Year. Love your channel. Wondering have you read any good books lately. Mary Behan - Kilkenny, Ireland.
Life is a learning thing. No matter how old you are. I'm 78 and always like to learn more. So thanks for all your efforts.
So true Colleen. Learning keeps the brain healthy too I think.

Hi Adelina. The new direction of your channel might be an interesting journey. I'm looking forward to being part of this journey. 😊

Thanks! Your father was a wise man 😁.
Your original intro with the "intentional living" feels like it will be more prominent this year and I appreciate intentional living. Kudos to you, Adelina!
I appreciate that Ginny!
I will likely run into you one of these days as I spend alot of time in Campbell River. I like this new direction.
Say hi if you do.
I am listening to this while I’m fixing a leaky faucet! Afterwards, I will install my internet box. At 74, I need all the self sufficiency ideas I can get!
Look at you go!! 😊❤️
Jane..you are an inspiration to all women!!!
I'm glad to have you here with us on this journey.
Thanks Alice! I started with the envelopes way back and it's morphed into this system.
Adelina, two words..... LOVE IT !
Thanks! 😁
Thank you for being you and being here.😀
Thanks so much for your comment 😊❤️
That sounds like a beautiful, fun and very interesting plan for your channel. Staying put both feet with you and sticking around to learn more with you and from you. Thank you soooo much for being so open with us. You have no idea the ideas you plant in my head each week, and the smile you bring to my face. Thank you and all the best for 2024 Adalina!!!!!
That's awesome, thank you!
Always like to see how others are budgeting, great ideas.
😁
Thanks. I normally don't sit there waving it around LOL.
Now tuuuning In!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Yessss 🙌🏾
Please ….I would love a more in-depth look at how you come up to the budget and sort it out. It would help me out so much.
For sure Pamela. I'll do more videos on the practical tips for budgeting.
I'm a recent empty nester, single mom, and I enjoy ALL of your content. Even your cooking and I'm not vegan. Your budget videos have been great for me!
Thanks so much Jackie!
Oh. My. Gosh. I’m a complete budgeting nerd so this was right up my alley!! Very enjoyable. ❤ Great video all around. ❤
Thanks! 🤗. Nerds unite! 😜
Love the budget nerdiness. I am paid bi-weekly as well. I budget for two pay periods per month. The extra pay period in the beginning of the year is the vacation fund and the extra pay period in the second half of the year is my Christmas fund. 💲
I do something similar with those 3 paycheck months 😁.
Completely addicted to this channel and love the cooking. Always looking for better solutions to budgets.
Great to hear!☺️
Adelina, I think the direction you’re taking your channel is spot on. Over the past five years, I’ve focused on self sufficiency…learning about organic vegetable gardening and food preservation. Because I’m in Alberta, I don’t have a long growing season so I will do things like buy frozen organic mixed veggies from Costco and dehydrate them, then store them in mason jars. I recently purchased a digital pressure canner and I’m learning to preserve food that way. There is so much to learn and the journey is fun. I will definitely stay with you on your channel because you are interesting, friendly and honest.
Good for you! 😊
Those are all great skills 😁.
Yes, i would love to see how you came up with the different amounts you use for cash every two weeks.
Yessss! I am here for it 😊 I am going to be a single mom (of teens) within this next year or so, and that is what drew me to tiny house living. I love the idea of learning together and look forward to your content.
You got this! I'm glad you're here ❤️😊.
Thanks Douglas! I appreciate that.☺️
We do things exactly the same!
I studied with Dave's team years ago. His system is where I stared.
I like the variety direction you’re going with the channel.
Glad to hear it!
Sounds like a great year of viewing… especially like the new challenges idea. Learning a new skill is always intimidating.
Yes, I think it will be challenging, frustrating at times but definitely fun!
Yummy bread! 🥖 Yes…, video please!! 🥰🥰
Coming up!
And gluten free, if you can do that! Love you, Adalina! @@myBIGtinyhouselife
Your mom was a wise woman! 😊❤️
You go girls 😊😊😊
Excellent Excellent Excellent!! I can’t wait for this coming year’s videos!!! All that you’ve mentioned is also what I’m currently interested in and skills I want to grow within myself! My husband and I live in a 5th wheel, which is also a “tiny home”. Also, though we are not vegan, I have made a number of your wonderful, delicious recipes!! Thank you, Adalina, for ALL your videos!💕😊
Awesome, thank you! What a great adventure you and your hubby are on!
I started cash stuffing and find it so helpful. Anything left over goes into saving challenges and change jar. I agree. It’s harder to hand over cash for impulse buys.
I have a wallet with zip envelopes.
How fun! Can't wait!
Thank you so much! I can't wait for us to take some road trips this summer. 😁
I'm looking forward to spending this new year with you! Sounds like a fun journey! ❤
Thanks Debbie! 😁
You keep it interesting . Appreciate what you share. Would love to live in a tiny house like yours, it does not seem tiny and my cat would love that loft area!
Yes, the loft is Sophie's favourite spot ☺️🐈
I am staying in the channel, hi from Finland
Thank you Esther ❤️☺️.
Thank you so much! ☺️ ❤️
Hi Adelina - I love your nerdiness! As newly retired, I have been known to have a high score on the nerdy scale when it comes to budgeting - looking forward to your 2024 videos.
Nerds unite! 😁😁😁
I am trying to transition myself back to cash myself because I do spend less that way. Here in the states gas is cheaper if you use cash.
Good for you 😊.
Great video, my kind of channel, great ideas!
Thanks! ☺️
I love your system. You are correct about cash carrying target. I did chuckle as you were setting in your van chatting and hands with cash flying around advertising that you have cash. lol stay warm stay nerdy!
LOL i realized that as I was editing. Obviously I don't do that normally. 🤷🏻♀️😁😜
Kathy, I really got a chuckle out of that as well, that would be me. 😊
@@jessiemacleod6100 😁
Wonderful visit with you; thanks for sharing! I love learning & trying new things even at my age of 71 & believe it gives me more excitement to life. This is why I love watching another woman achieve her dreams with enthusiasm, as you do on your channel. Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦
Thank you!☺️
For me, almost 99% of my shopping is done online (no car) for convenience.
I'm glad you're finding the variety of content here helpful!
I like this video. As a 67 year old single woman, I need to start using cash again.
This new chapter of life, needs me to be intentional.
I am on social security and working part-time. Great video.
Thank you Judi. 🤗
Thank you so much for this video. I find myself in very similar circumstances as you are facing. I am new to cold weather climate, new area, new home - lots of things to learn and overcome. Looking forward to gaining more confidence along with you on those life hurdles this year. You take care of you.
Thanks Lisa. We'll learn together 😁.
Wonderful video! You're not a nerd. Your wallet tabs reminded me of the envelope system only in a smaller version. I like the way you plan to take the channel. Keep up the great conversations.
Oh thank you! I used the envelope system way back but found tabs easier for me.
Great stuff Adelina!!!! I'm fully on board with the direction you are taking, in fact have been taking for a while now and I love it. And I have just purchased a zipped wallet to help me budget my cash expenditure.
Good for you!
As always, thank you for the great content. I love all of your videos your independence.🙌🤗 looking forward to all of your future videos.❣️
You are so welcome!
PLEASE, keep sharing your delicous recipes, I would miss that . Hope that wont change😊
I'll keep posting recipes. Sometimes my 'day job' gets so crazy that I can't do one mid week but I will always try.
We all know and realize Adelina you have a full time job as well as this. Do as is possible.
Can’t wait for more videos of everything you talk about!!! Thank you so much for your kind words and life advice ❤️
Ps: can’t wait for the generator video.. super intimidating for me but have always wanted to know how to use one.
Thank you!!
That will come once the weather warms up and the rain stops 😁.
Thanks 😁.
I am several years older than you are & retired but I can always learn new ways. I also try to run most of my every day life in cash. I most often pay cash for groceries, household items, cat food, gas & meals out. My budget for those items is like you $300 a week. Hope you have a great week. ♥️🐈💐
Thank you, you too!
I would be interested in knowing your favourite books. Both fiction and non fiction. Maybe an episode sharing which ones have had the biggest impact on you
Thanks for the suggestion. I've shared a couple in the past and will do so in the future!
Good for you! That must have been frustrating at the time but you did it!!!
Looking forward to the channel updates, would love to learn more about vehicle maintenance :)
Love to see more budget videos. Also cooking.
You got it!
I’m excited to see what new skills you learn this year and I know that whatever you take on, you will triumph! ❤
Thanks Zia. I hope you're having safe travels. Can't wait for your next video!
Thanks so much!! 😊❤️
you are one smart cookie!
I loved today's post and absolutely resonated with it! I am super excited about the direction that you are taking your channel into. I have been single for many years and struggle some days with figuring out how to do the simplest of tasks. Thank you so much for your continued learning, insights, and inspiration in helping others.
Thanks Line ❤️😊
Love your cash system but I have a fantastic rewards credit card. With those rewards, I can get a lot of my household items (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc.) for free plus it builds my credit history. And, I often buy from Amazon because they often have the lowest per unit costs for so many items.
Sounds like you have a system that works for you 😊.
Absolutely no judgement here. Love to see similar budgeters and lifestylers. 💜💜💜
Thanks! ☺️
I love your wallet idea,, I had used two different accounts but your logic about handing cash makes you think a little more!!! Love that
Thanks Susan 😊.
I like to use cash. Looking forward to the change. Take care.
Thanks Debbie! 😁
Thank you so much!
Excited! Can’t wait for videos.
Yay! Thank you!
Any topic you discuss on your channel, Adelina, is always interesting and a pleasure to watch.
Thanks Virginia ❤️.
@@myBIGtinyhouselifeYou're welcome, Adelina. Your editing and music are so well done. I love the music. You are such a lovely person too.
Awesome, thanks! ☺️
I am so excited to see this years videos!
Thanks! 😊
I am enjoying your channel & I like the wallet/cash file system. One thing that you said that I if you get robbed thieves want credit cards. This really has me believing this may be true. Happy 2024 🎉
I think they expect credit cards because so few people carry cash.
Thanks Adelina. I’m looking forward to your life adventures. I love watching you drive through country I’ve enjoyed visiting, and making your way through your life.
Thank you Jean 😊❤️.
Thanks for the book recommendation!
No I love anything you talk about ,its great in my opinion!! Stay warm.
Thanks so much Dianne ❤️.
Happy New Year, Adelina! I like your idea of a wallet with tabs. So much simpler than the cash stuffing envelopes that people show.
I started with the envelopes way way back but then came up with the tabs because it's just faster at checkout and more visual. 😁
Sounds great!
I haven't used cash here (Sweden) for several years. (Though we are advised to have some cash at home in case of emergencies.) I love your plans for the channel!
I agree that it's always good to have some cash on hand in case of emergency.
If you don't tell your money where to go....it just goes!
Hello Mary! Thanks so much. I've got my some coming to the library and will happily share in an upcoming video.
