I want to recommend a lot of songs of ONE OK ROCK : I was King ( orchestra version), Renegades, Save yourself… You can figure out how great Taka’s vocal is at their concert.
Their concert with the orchestra is one of my favs. OOR was so gracious to stream their past concerts online during the lockdown period when they couldn't perform live.
Glad you guys came back to Taka/OOR so soon. Taka's parents are both famous folk singers in Japan so he's definitely got some pretty good DNA in his veins, but he certainly worked hard to get where he's at now. At the beginning of his career, a lot of people scorned him for what they perceived as riding on his father's coattail, but that only motivated him to prove them wrong and distinguish himself. OOR doesn't do songs for anime series, for example, which is arguably the easiest way to get fans in the west, because they want to make become known through their skills rather than as "that group that sang that anime song." I respect them for not taking shortcuts. Looking forward to your next OOR reaction! Can't go wrong with any of their songs.
@@throgaEven though Taka's parents are famous singers in Japan he got into a huge argument with them when he was in high school, and that resulted in his mother disowning him and he ran away from home. He ended up writing the song "Nobody's Home" to apologize to them for everything he did at that time. You have to watch him sing it live at Yokohama arena 2012. He gets incredibly emotional during the performance because his parents were actually at that concert.
Wonderful! Thank you for covering this. I left Japan 30 years ago, so imagine my surprise when I discovered the band a year ago and then found out his parents are both veteran superstar singers in Japan that I grew up listening to! 🤯
Yay that’s quick. I highly recommend you to hear him in some heavy performances. “The Beginning” in Eye of the Storm tour or “Deeper Deeper” In Yokohama Stadium. The band is very good live.
Thank u so much your review was awesome, they do so many great songs, they have a song called "we are" they do in a rock concert but they also do it with 10 thousand 18 year Olds that do harmony its called "we are" (18) for the first 4 or 5 minutes there is a narrative in Japanese then they musing. It's is so beautiful the first time I heard it I cried and u can tell the band loved it
Ohoo!! I'm glad that you listen to this cover song cuz I believe this is the one which tells you Taka's vocal skill. (At that time, "Take what you want" which you reacted last time, Taka was kind of sick) I would like to recommend: Taka's high note→Your tears are mine Taka's long tone→Clock Strikes OOR's great live perform w/autdience →We are
@@throga thank you so much!! Looking forward to more One Ok Rock. Please react to We Are live at Japan dome tour!!! This song saved me multiple times. This song is so powerful and meaningful to all the young generations. 🖤
Your next reaction needs to be "The Beginning" live at Yokohama stadium mighty long fall tour. It's actually their most popular song. You'll get to see how energetic Taka is, and how he interacts with the crowd.
@@throga It's my pleasure. It's great that more and more people are discovering OOR. I hope that you guys could explain how Taka can sing perfectly without missing a note while running, jumping and even headbanging. You'll have to watch a couple songs from most of their shows over the past decade to see everything Taka can do. I'm looking forward to your reaction to their more upbeat and heavier songs. Some of them might give you Linkin Park vibes. They were actually supposed to tour with Linkin Park .
TAKA was born to parents who are very famous singers in Japan. In my layman's opinion, I think he got the husky voice from his father and the crystalline voice from his mother. His parents are still active as singers. I heard that TAKA's English learning is mostly self-taught and not specially trained.😊 I think this video is about 8 years old, so I think his English is better now.

Thank you for reacting to decade old long cover. Taka is absolutely brilliant as aa vocalist and his band members are exceptional too. Hope you will react to their live performance of We Are
Where ever you are is my favorite song and I love Taka’s vocals in that song. You will love how it’s usually just him and the piano. The Japanese audience knows when to be so quiet and then when to be so loud. Your Kitty will love it. My cats Bella and Loki love it when it plays every time!
I love finding people that are discovering and reacting to One Ok Rock! Please continue to react and enjoy songs from the past and future by this band as there are wayyyy too many amazing ones where Taka's vocals are showcased brilliantly. Whatever the OOR community recommends is what I recommend as well- you can't really go wrong to be honest. I only ask that you try to stick with the live performances. Taka and his group always shine brighter and sounds MUCH better when performing live. Great video, keep up the great work!

I just stumbled upon your channel the other day from the previous One Ok Rock reaction. I was really happy to see y'all pop up in my recommendation for another video of them! I really like hearing technical comments about Taka's voice, it really puts into perspective how talented he is. I just recently got into OOR pretty heavily and I can't get enough of their music. I hope you guys continue to listen them, I would love to see your reactions! My recommendations for them are "We are" (specifically the live ambitions japan dome tour video :D), "Mighty Long Fall" (the Yokohama stadium live video), "Stand Out Fit In" (orchestra ver.), "Fight the Night" (orchestra japan tour). Thanks again for reacting to them!
Taka is an amazing singer. At 7:48 he was pushing it, but he did a great job covering this beautiful song. And it seems he sang it in the original key. Another amazing singer is Zhou Shen from China. He is high pitched and has the voice of an angel. I also recommend the Korean vocal group Forestella that is outstanding.
He comes from a family of singers if you’re interested you should look up his parents and brother. They are also singers. I love We Are either live Japan Dome Tour or 18 fest( they played at a festival supporting the youth when they changed the voting age from 21 down to 18)
YESS!! Love how you guys describe Taka's voice! Maybe you wanna listen to their cover of Easy On Me -Adele. OOR made it sounds more rock with their style. I'd love to hear your opinion on both Taka's vocal and their music arrangements. Honestly, I love it more than the original lol, just my taste😂 they released it on Apple Music, and there's a fanmade video on TH-cam which contains recaps of OOR world tours. Oh don't forget to listen to the original Adele version first before, so you can tell the differences! Keep going and thank you!! Waiting for more OOR reviews in the future!

Woah, another oor reaction was so quick, ehe. Im glad you enjoyed it! Taka is no doubt an amazing singer, and in their live performances it’s clearly seen that he’s a great frontman/crowd keeper as well. I think you would enjoy hearing another adele cover, but this time done by the whole band, “easy on me”. Their arrangement made it much more rhythmic and rocky-ish, and for me personally mory lively. And taka’s vocals in there? Chef’s kiss. BUT there is “one by one” (2015) performance (live ofc) which i really really want you to see. It perfectly captures how taka can easily switch between screams and clean sound, and there are some vocals from guitarist too;) Also I would definitely recommend “mighty long fall” or “i was king” (there is a performance of this song with a whole orchestra, its majestic). Im sure you will have a bunch of suggestions in comments to choose from, so thank you for your reaction! It was nice to hear your thoughts and opinions (and to see that cutie, even if just for so long)❤
All of One OK Rock’s live performances are unbelievably crazy! “We Are”, “Clock Strikes” and “Mighty Long Fall” are some other great lives to check out. (^~^) 💕🦋
So happy that you found how incredible Taka's voice is. I love your reactions especially since you are a vocal coach and a song writer. WE ARE Live 2018 IS a good one, There is a lot of good songs by this band, I LOVE THE NEW SONG NEON the live version but that hasnt been released yet on youtube i think.
Taka's parents: Mori Shinichi (stage name): th-cam.com/video/1V3Fc0he3p0/w-d-xo.html He sold nearly 90 million albums in Japan. Mori Masako (stage name): th-cam.com/video/dqI7nlroZuU/w-d-xo.html she gave up her career when she married Mori and had Takahiro, Tomohiro (TV director) and Hiroki (also a rock singer). Later when her sons grew up she released more songs. The style they sing in is called ENKA. It's a very specific music style that involves certain singing techniques that might not be familiar to Western ears and Western singing training, so it could definitely be interesting for you to hear. Btw, both Taka and Hiroki were originally trained to be Jpop idols, but Taka was booted out of the agency because someone released a photo of him smoking and hugging a girl (Jpop industry is really strict with artists, no private life is allowed, dating is forbidden). He then went on to have a huge fight with his parents who discovered booze and cigs in his room and he ran away from home. He lived on his own from age 16 and worked at a restaurant before meeting Toru and becoming the vocalist of OOR. :)
It's cool to see Japanese artists getting reacted to :) I would also like to recommend a korean vocal group called Forestella. They are not a Kpop band, but a vocal quartet and they have genius covers of songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, Scarborough Fair, L'Immensita, Time in a Bottle, Je Suis Malade, or even pop covers like Despacito or Bad Romance :) Their harmonies are out of this world, definitely suitable for trained ears ;)
