I attended a 10 day Gita Jnana Yagna in Trivandrum in 1982 when I was 20 yrs old. It happened per chance. I was a volunteer at the book stall, deputed from ABVP. We were 5 or 6 boys from ABVP who were given duty at the book stall. That GJY had a very profound influence on my outlook towards life. I did not realise it then. Years later, I realised that it was a turning point in my life, made me what I am today. Shata Shata Naman to Pujya Swamiji.

One who identifies with his kshetra is a partially undetermined being. It is mutually interpenetrating phenomenon and the phenomenal world manifested by that interaction is an organic existence. Arjuna's grief is after he kills there won't be any of his relatives and friends. He cannot relate his existence with his dharma only with his relatives. What an apathy! Alas he had a Guru to recognise his dharma than his "karma".

In Calcutta I was very regular in learning from Swamiji's Kindle Life, Bhaja Govindam, Vivek Chudamani, Lectures on all chapters of Bhagavad Gita etc.etc. Chinmayanandji also explained in short that whatever I call mine is not me, like my body, mind, intellect etc.
What a wonderful Teacher...! I attended two Geetha gnana yagnas... It is something like Francis bacon's piece... Where suddenly the humour jumps to facts of life...🙏🏽
🕉The Geeta is a Handbook of Instruction of how to live a spiritual life. Sri Krsna (representing Dharma) advises Arjuna (the man of action) not to run away from life, in spite of external circumstances which are opportunities to exhaust vasanas. With egocentric standpoint of "me and mine", problems become a crisis and efficiency is reduced. Looking from higher standpoint, problems wither into nothing. How? Through Karma Yoga: Do your duty surrendering to a higher altar, Dhyana Yoga: Meditation is quiet alertness and alert quietude. Meditate: Intensively think of Gudugudang?😀GOD does not belong to the realm of experiences which can be expressed by words. Scriptures are attempts/pointers at indicating what Reality is, but not defining it as one is to experience it directly, pointing not outwards but guiding the mind/Intellect within and holding the mind's attention through Contemplation. 🕉shree Chinmaya sadgurave namaha🙏🏾
