The flipside of the Eagles fan base is it doesn’t matter whether the team is 14-3 or 3-14. The stadium is going to be equally filled. The fans are going to be equally passionate. The merch will be flying off the shelves at the same rate. Most teams can’t say that.

There is a reason we love us some dudes that never really amounted to anything that just came in and gave it their all for us game in and game out. We all knew Saquon was HIM before he stepped in these doors but the amount of 4th quarter ASS saving he has done in just 11 or 12 weeks of a season in 4th quarters alone has been the stuff of LEGENDS so far. Minus that Falcons game in week 2 and a couple questionable missed first downs, My man has Rung that bell every time he was asked ! I LOVE Devonta Smith above all else , but I need to see Saquon get the single season rushing title above all else this year. Smitty can get his receiving title next year. RBs are faster than WRs and Smitty is here for the LONG haul.
My two cents... Philly is at its heart a blue collar town, where everybody is expected to do the work they're paid for, and we hold our athletes to the same standard. The management at the midGets is showing that they aren’t up to it. Not giving Saquon a new contract now looks foolish. But think back to the Bradberry situation. They did him dirty - kept him on the roster through the early part of free agency when the teams looking to pay cornerbacks had signed someone, then releasing him. Eagles got him for a low price that season, gave him a bigger contract, and even though they could have released him, kept him on the roster and he’s getting paid very well for not getting on the field much. The way the Eagles are treating those two ex-midGets will be noticed by other free agents. And the way the midGets treated them will also be noticed.
