Keep up the good work TTM Troy! I love seeing people get into the hobby and it seems like so many don't know how it works. I've got maybe 3,000 TTMs in my collection that I'm showing off haha
It's been a stressful couple of months, and this definitly a fun distraction for the work, I love checking my mailbox every couple of days to see if i got anything. Super fun and cheap hobby that I love!
all you need to do is ask "could you please sign my card?" I have done this in the past and got autographs from Brian Leetch, Pavel Bure, Patrick Roy, Chris Nilan, Brian Leetch, Joe Sakic, Niklas Lidstrom, Brett Hull, Trevor Linden, Adam Oates, Don Sweeney. Time to send out a bunch more.
I forwarded this video to a friend who's grandson is interested in collecting TTM. Your detailed information is better than I could try to explain over the phone. See you on Facebook!

Hey Troy, Long time fan of sending autographs to players and former players. Haven’t done these TTM in a while. Just saw this video and loved it and subscribed to your TH-cam account! ⭐️ Do you ever include top loaders to protect your cards or 4x6 photos if it’s a former player to sign along with info/instructions? Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Keep up the great work and thanks in advance for answering my question Troy. Scott
Hey Scott, after seeing a lot of reports of players sometime signing the toploader and not the card, I have very rarely, if ever, sent them out in toploaders, I never want to take the chance. Ive only had a few in 10+ years come back really mangled. ::knock on wood:: :)
@@TTMAutograph I’m guessing those 10+ must have been out of about 1,000 attempts. Thanks for the great feedback Troy! Waiting for your next video as I already subscribed. Thanks and continued successes. Scott
I haven't had much success with current NBA players, sorry. If anything Id say probably the training facility, but it's kin of a black hole where mail goes to die. :D
Your stamps always need to be for where something is being mailed FROM. So if you sent to the UK, you need USA stamps to send to the UK and UK stamps to come back. Or vice versa. Hope that helps. :)
Hi, I love your video. I want to try TTM,but I can’t find some players useful address information in SCF and startiger ,are there another ways to find out?
Hey Troy, Really love the video, Sorry I just found it, Would love to start TTM, im not able to go anywhere anymore, Got in a really bad wreck recently, That ended my traveling days, Frank Viola is the nicest fella I've EVER dealt with, He was the pitching coach for Savannah Sand Gnats several years ago, I couldn't believe how nice he was, have thousands of cards signed, but would love Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg, Curt Schilling, Frank Thomas, and Dale Murphy, Just a few off the top of my head, heard all are very very nice people, Thank you
Max's Corner that’s a tough one . I’d have to say the two times I got JJ Watt back are pretty awesome, as is the Peyton Manning and mark mcgwire I got back last year. Celebrity wise probably Leonardo DiCaprio back in the 90s. :)
Yes, always - the amount of postage has to fit the weight/size of what you are sending. There are some guides in my book regarding postage weights/prices. Usually if you do cards, you are fine with 1-4 cards in the same envelope for 1 stamp each way.
Yep always include a SASE! You want to make it as easy as possible for the players to send your items back to you and even though they may be millionaires, they aren't going to pay for the return postage.
Depends who you are sending to. If a sport isn't in season and you are sending to a stadium, definitely wait. If you are sending to a private address, send away! :)
On the return envelope, I would highly recommend putting your own address in the upper left corner as well. You never know if you end up having some sort of postage issue. Also, I highly recommend using address labels for your own address.
Absolutely! That is what I do as well, unless I am dangerously low on labels. :) Some people like to gamble whether the celeb will put their label or hand write an address, getting "2" autographs for the price of one, but 99.9999% of the time they won't. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
@@TTMAutograph I’m confused on how postage works so I only put the return address on the envelope inside? Also how do I know how much postage to include? Like do I put the stamps on the return envelope or just put them inside so they can do it?
@@whatupdawg281 Yes, the envelope inside has your address and put enough postage on it so it come back. In most cases that is a single stamp, you can put two if you send 3-4 cards and want to be sure. I would put them on the envelope inside, don't just include them.
Arnt you worried what they will sign it with?? I mean if you send a card and they use a ball point pen too sign it. So is there away you can almost guarantee it they will use the right pen even right colour
Hey there! Yeah it's just the chance you have to take. Some people do send sharpies, but it gets expensive and even then you never know if they will use it. :)
I personally have not, but many people have. You just need to go to the post office and figure out how much it would be to send it, and then do that twice, once for the send and once for the return. Most post offices have kiosks where you can get any value of stamp to make it easy too. :)
I personally wouldn't send a baseball unless you know it's a player that will sign it, that they charge a fee and that you send the money they charge. Baseballs cost like $15 each and they are more expensive to ship than cards. I usually only send cards that are worth less than $2 since there's a chance they won't be returned.
I read that you have been collecting ttm autographs since 1988. I know Ken Griffey Jr doesn't sign ttm but do you know if he did as a minor leaguer or early in his MLB career?
@@TTMAutograph It's all good! Thanks for getting back to me and answering my question. I figured that he's never has signed ttm. He's one of tough Hall of Famers to get and he never signed in person as a player.
Great stuff dear .i want to get autograph of barrack obama ,bryn adams michael jackson and few more including neil armstrong and buzz aldrin. how can i get those as some people are no more. can you guide me tks.
My friends want to TTM, but even when I give them all the data, they don't do anything. I had a 1st too. Fund I had a $5 COMC credit, but not sure I shipped them together with my order. Oops.
I would not recommend putting "Do Not Bend" on the envelope. By doing so you have changed the class of mail from a stamp to a first class parcel. Your letter now will go with about $4 postage due to sender. Who won't pay and it gets returned. A better statement to put on the envelope is "non machinable, please hand sort". This feature is only about 20 cents more. eBay uses this for their standard envelope.
Hey Barton - thanks for the comment and the view! In all my years of doing this, I have never had this experience. Your mileage may vary, but that is my experience. Thanks for the view and the comment. Happy TTM'ing!
