King Vulture - The Scavenging Aristocrat

King vultures are large scavenging birds that fly high over tropical forests looking for carcasses found by other, smaller vulture species. Because of their large size, king vultures typically displace smaller local species from large carcasses. Adult couples work together to raise a single child. Enjoy!:)

Its wingspan is quite beautiful. There are many other vultures worldwide that are much uglier. Nonetheless, the vulture is not a favorite bird of mine but it serves a purpose in the wild.
