Dude, I’m a lifelong martial artist having started when I was 11 and now I’m 63. I’m so jealous that I’m finding out about this excellent excellent instruction of yours NOW everything I learned I had to learn it through trial, error and observation and never really learned it all if I had TH-cam in my day would’ve been phenomenal because my work ethic was definitely there. Keep up the good work. I know your videos are helping people.😊
I appreciate you feel its informative🙏🏻 so cool you have had that long in the game and means a lot to hear from an experienced person as yourself 💯 however I believe trial and error is the best teacher 99% of the time, they are the lessons that really engrave on the brain🧠
I can’t remember any boxing coach online who’s talked about?FLINCHING and you’re so right. It’s the“ dreaded anticipation of the punch and getting hit by it“ that causes your defense to fall apart and keep you from mounting and off fence as well. My boxing coach cure that. tendency in me by throwing me into a corner and throwing punches at me hard to the body he explained to me afterwards did that hurt as much as you thought it would and I had to remark no it didn’t he did it so I could get used to this sensation of being hit, and seeing that it wasn’t the end of the world. After I felt more comfortable with punches being thrown in my direction, he taught me how to defend effectively against the hit and not to flinch when it’s coming, but to look at what’s happening basically what he taught me was how to be aware of what’s happening as it’s happening it’s a valuable skill, which is not really talked about much but you nailed it
Blessed video my guy was just wonder if you can add a part into your next video or a yt short about how to get into proper stance my feet feel way to apart I feel to squared or I feel to bladed at times and idk if my feet are meant to be lined up on a line or not but yeeesirrr keep up the videos brother 💯🙏🫡
@@DTBXING Sure, there are more: 1) how to setup body shots 2) how to set up a left hook 3) training methods how not to telegraph your punches. Just a few ideas, feel free to pick one (ore more). Thank you!
Well done. Surprisingly, these tips are not being taught by the majority of boxing coaches in my city. Most of them are mma or kickboxers that have punches and don’t know fundamental boxing principles and strategies.
You could make infinite vids with your skill/delivery. Basic punches (where weight comes from+goes), how to stay balanced after throwing. How to shift weight for combos e.t.c
I started boxing as a kid because my dad boxed, was learning at 7 maybe younger but was on and off till about 15 and then started taking it a lot more seriously and am now 23🥊
I’ve been boxing for about 1 year bro and I’m sparring but getting whipped a lot of the time and I get angry because I train hard but I do against ppl that been doing it for 4-5 years even more
We all start from somewhere, any great fighter will tell you that you have to be on the wrong end of a good beating many times before your the one dishing it out. The Beauty of it is that the fails and mistakes are what correct you into a better fighter, learn what is wrong and then you’ll start doing what is right🫡💯

Can you do an indepth guide on improving footwork including exercises? Because there isnt really a good one on TH-cam. I would really apreciate that.
When you bend down to the side like that like James Toney and Floyd its called the Drop .
