    I think the word is getting around that there is a guy that does free off road recoveries, so when you can't immediately come out and get them, they think you're just blowing them off. If they were watchers of your channel, they would know what a good guy you really are.

How dare you tell me that you're going to help someone that called earlier and because of that YOU think is more important and entitled than me! Why you are just a no good SOB! Now what am I supposed to do???? Something like that?

    Your channel continues to be one of the best examples of when an Insta360 camera just kills it. Love those shots of the jeep driving.

    • @judithburke1539
      @judithburke1539 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I still expect to see either the pole that the camera is on or it's shadow. Where did it go?😊

    • @Wordsnwood
      @Wordsnwood ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@judithburke1539 Look at the sky -- overcast day means not very strong shadows. I'm given to understand that the software hides the pole, but not the shadow. Check out some of his other videos and you'll see that shadow.

    • @unpavedadventure
      @unpavedadventure ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Wordsnwood 360 cameras usually record 2 or more images that are "stitched" together into a sphere. So imagine taking 2 squares and wrapping them onto a sphere. On each square, you pinch together the top 2 corners and bottom 2 corners while stretching out the center. Everything at the very top and bottom becomes very small. So deleting the pole actually because really simple. All you, or the software, needs to do is crop off the bottom few pixels of the image and apply some edge blending and it's gone.
      Casey often uses his camera as a "reframe." Imagine putting a regular camera in the middle of that sphere. Then you just point that camera at what you want to look at. This is, in my opinion, the best way to a 360 camera. The problem is that you lose a lot of resolution. There really isn't a camera on the market that can overcome this. There are some huge 360 cameras that are much higher resolution, but then they can't go on the end of a pole.
      What I am curious about is if Casey does all of this on an app or if he uses a computer program? I would be interested to see his setup. I have done a lot of experimenting with reframing so I know that once you put it on a computer, it takes a lot more rendering power.

    One thing that I learned from driving two-wheel drive trucks without a limited-slip differential, let alone a locker, once the tire spins, you're done. More speed doesn't help dig down to the bedrock and magically get you out. I'm always amazed at the confidence people get when they have a stock Four-Wheel-Drive truck on street tires.

    Gas prices are high and people are cheap. The first explains lack of folks out exploring and the later explains jerks! Record the ones that get upset and never recover them because they are expecting your good graces. There is a difference between owning and affording anything especially vehicles. When I have to pick up a broken bike and the "customer" questions my wrenching costs, I get protective. Nothing sucks more then sitting on someone's scoot while they come up with my bill money, I am NOT a bank.

    I run the same tires on my xj. 35x12.5x15. I drove home 25+ miles. At trail pressure, now they deflate significantly more. 10# looks like five. Contact patch is way larger. It may be the wrong way, but it works. Don't let the tires get to hot.
