Great camera work very easy to understand. Thank you for showing all steps in that purposely deliberate manner. I like to tie while watching your videos and it is nice to not have to rewind 500 times to take it all in. Thank you!

Yep, Lefty was one of a kind. This is a pattern everyone should have in their box. Got a chance to see his good buddy, Bob Clouser, a couple of years ago at a show. Another amazing tyer. If you ever get the chance, go see Bob, he can teach you more in an hour that most fly fishers can in a month. He usually has books for sale which he is happy to autograph. Thanks for keeping some of the fairly simple but deadly patterns in the spotlight. Now go get some of those California trout on that fly. Keep up the good work buddy.

Because it’s wayyyy too much work with it. I figure your all smart and can figure out what I’m doing here. But yeah, this took only 1 hour to film and 2 hours to edit, not 6 hours to edit like when I do the voice over. Just don’t have enough time to do those right now

Good tie. What was the purpose of splitting the ducktail at the 3:30 mark? to improve the taper? I don't think I've ever seen it done that way. I like it though.

Yes, bucktail is a natural material, there are short and long fibers. I find it sits better if you make less of the shorter fibers and most are longer. :)

What is a good vise under 150 dollars? My old one broke and I want something good.

Here is a great brand at around $155. amzn.to/2WAwHdK

I had a chance at winning the exact one in a casting competition, but I ended up doing better and got a tfo.

TFO makes vises? I thought they were only rods and reels. I’ll have to go check them out. But yeah, the $150 mark is tough, if you can extend to $200 I’d suggest a few others.

Tfo rod and reel. I should have specified.

Ohhh. So you could have won a vice, but instead won a rod and reel combo? Awesome man! I wish I was good enough at casting to win competitions. Haha
