We are the only federal party advocating for a replacement of the paternalistic Indian Act, which keeps aboriginals in a state of dependency and allows the federal government to control most aspects of their lives. Also Max Bernier and the PPC will explore options to promote the establishment of individual property rights on reserves so as to empower its residents, and give them increased control over their lives and we will ensure that aboriginal communities take more ownership of the services they receive in partnership with Ottawa and other levels of government.

Well said, Mr. Skitt! No surprise that this generous and reasoned view comes from Saint-Lambert.

CBC did an article 10 January 2018 about Seth Lefort. Seth Lefort also has podcasts describing his legal trouble over tobacco out West. Why is Trudeau negotiating with criminals?

We need national police that know law and can have the courage to do there job. Not the spineless bags of water we got in uniform now.

Well spoken as this needs to stop! I can't help but notice the missed opportunity to show cohesion amongst first nation. Nation wide temporary relief of the blockade could've been given and show a willingness to come to an aggreement with the goverment while maintaining some pressure. The first nation kept the pressure too hard for too long, pushing the goverment to act with force. Trudeau clearly stated that the government didnt want to come to this point, now that the goverment had to used the force, I beleive the first nation have lost a bit of negotiating power here.
