“This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.” 1 Corinthians 2:13
“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” John 16:13
I've always loved this entire account. It puts to rest the nonsense by professing Christians that we are not supposed to do apologetics or know anything about other worldviews. Willful ignorance like that makes me grind my teeth in frustration. And embarrassment. God tells us, to love the Lord your God with all your MIND, not just your heart. (Which people take to mean your fuzzy feelings.) I hope this series continues!
12:42 "I'm not going to get into, to my wife's relief, an exposition of Parmenides and Heraclitus here." I hear comments like this pretty often. I recently heard one guy joking that his wife doesn't watch his videos. (Which are on Bible translation.) Why wouldn't a wife be interested in her husband's work? I think that awful. But, whatever.
