He's always had a strong purpose with his song writing, very enigmatic & passionate....and always his own material. Consistantly some of my favorite music since the early years in the 80s! Sonic Temple....one of the best in my exspansive collection.
Have been a fan of the Cult for 25 years, first time i have seen and heard Ian speak, now i know why i have been a fan for 25 years. Peace Brother!
I could yap to this man for decades...he speaks a lot of sense. One reason why The Cult were ahead of their time.

Listening to this interview, is real interesting. Yes, being, Native American, and indigenous to the America's, our ceremonies, and our way of life. Is geared to the women. Which makes us more matralinial, the female( the opposite of patralinal, masculine). That's why we call the Earth, Mother Earth, she takes, care of us. All we do is hurt her for riches. 😠😭🤔, as long as a person, takes care of her, she will take care of you.

It feels great to have flirted with a deeper acquaintenceship; and I am gladdened to know that The Cult did bring itself to Croatia, whereof 9:18 must surely resonate like the final riff of Little Face.

If Mr Astbury thinks Bill Gates is just wanting a photo opportunity in Africa, it proves how little he knows of the biggest philanthropist of modern times. Bill Gates is leaving the tiniest fraction of his wealth to his family and every other cent will be spent educating and helping the poor in Africa - and that is on top of the millions he has already given away. I wonder how much Mr Astbury has donated to the poor in Africa? Mr Astbury likes the sound of his own voice, too, that's for sure.
