@@johnmandock56 Our government has been using AI for years to create hundreds of thousands of social media personalities and accounts, to manipulate discourse, and perception. People tend to agree with things that have the most likes and comments that have the most traction. Even if its something they disagree on, the fact that something gets lots of likes makes them think twice and question their position. The gov used these AI bot farms to manipulate people in our own country and other countries to behave the way they want them to, to adopt ideologies they want them to, to rise up against their governments where they wanted them to. Fake army of people creates a real army of people that can be weaponized. Radicalized. These AI bots were pretty realistic too, you could have a conversation with them, and they would generate photos with families that don't exist, where they went to schools that don't exist or that were never in the school lists at the real schools. These accounts were posting things like favorite recepies etc. Very human like.
And don't ask where else these fake people were used in the US.
School shootings are a totally "unrelated" topic that is also interesting.
You know I wouldn't want to end up in prison or anything.

The lasers of them self work as a separate close range detection array. A very accurate one.

    • @-NOCAP-
      @-NOCAP- 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@@macberg5806 the only reason why a lot of the older tech wasn't equipped with the newer lasers and why they haven't rushed them into production it's because they've had outdated power sources that weren't powerful enough to use the lasers. But all the new generation technology like the the Zumwalt Destroyer, sixth generation aircraft, stationary base defenses that have access to large amounts of power, and other platforms will not have that problem. Even the helicopters involved in the Army's helicopter competition will be equipped with 100-kilowatt laser. The same is true for the tanks taking part in the US Army tank competition to replace the Bradley. There is a 300 kilowatt solid-state laser that is in late stages of testing for the u.s. Navy which will be put on any New Generation ship and we'll have the capability to quickly shoot down large cruise missiles. The largest of the programs is a 500 kilowatt solid state laser being worked on for the space force that will be equipped to satellites and put into orbit. Load ones will be powerful enough to shoot down even ICBM missiles.

@Cody Teague Umm.. in the video didn't he say that there was a program in the 1980s during Reagan's presidency, at 2:35 , and it was shut down due to the technological hurdles they had yet to pass. The possibility for a laser to destroy an ICBM from orbit is possible, but I am hesitant to believe any laser we have today would do much against an asteroid. Even a megawatt laser wouldn't do much cause any asteroid worth worrying about is able to shrug off the thermosphere and mesosphere of the atmosphere, where asteroids burn up to thousands of degrees.

Hiding these 50 years ago would have been a terrible idea. Developed properly, these could remove the threat of MAD. In the 80s, at the peak and end of the Cold War, the US would have been flexing these as much as they could because it would have meant the USSR had lost.

you need a clear sky, if you have dense air and clouds, those laser will lose its potent lost in the environment. You can't just shoot down missile in the sky, it needs power source. On a fighter jet, the radar already takes up so much of the energy. If they need to, the whole fighter plane has to be redesigned and house the power source or a complete new fighter jet

It’ll literally bounce back and destroy our equipment. If I’m thinking of it especially after saying it here, other places thought of it too.

Its effectiveness depends on the amount of time it takes to destroy an approaching object.
For an aircraft carrier that's worth billions of dollars, enemies may use "swarm of bees" technique to overwhelm the laser weapon systems. So, if it can't shoot down, say 32, hyper-sonic gliders before any of them hit the aircraft carrier, it might get destroyed.
