I still think they should come down in price a bit.. Like my 70lbs (650w) trolling motor cost 400 bucks.. added a 120ah lithium battery for 200 bucks.. that gives me almost twice the battery.. and it uses a bit less.. ALso costs about 1/3 of the price.. A comparable 70ah battery would cost about 100-120 bucks in today prices.. making the total about 500 bucks.. This thing would be solid with twice the battery.. for 1000 bucks though.. (still would not be cheap).
Yeah 100%! I mean they still use Li-NMC - which is more expensive and light weight. But if they find a good LiFePO4 solution, they could easily go down with the price arround 400 bucks. I can't wait to see companies using this approach ... One is working on that as far as I know :)
