First blue goo shot I've been able to watch with my 'accountant' still in the room! 😂 Thanks for the cleaning tip using bicarb and salt, quantities? Look forward to seeing more of the lucky bag being restored.
Once again, another marvel of watch repair excellence. I really appreciated that you are using wood to take the bridges out. Very often I see people using metal to pry bridges off or reset shock settings. The visible scratches left behind are like scars on my soul. Those scratches may never change the operations of the watch, but they may also introduce metal grit into the workings and stop the watch cold. Either way, using wood or plastic on metal is the gentlest and kindest way to get the job done.

It's amazing what a small gesture to the accountant offers so many new possibilities. I know you are still learning but there are already some very nice shots.
Awesome! You got a few Omega's. I do love those vintage types. See you got a tissot, got the T-classic myself and sadly it is not real gold but got it new way WAY under price! Thank you eBay! I was thinking you had a couple of Omega there. Maurice Lacroix, I knew that one was a gem, well to me anyway.. I knew I would be jealous. I would like to ask, what was the 80's 90's looking round, black face watch with the gold? No numbers just the hour and minute hand. Anyway you look like you got a winner there. For the record, I hate gold plating, in fact I just had to order more solution. I am trying to steer away from plating altogether! OMG the inside surprised the heck out of me! When I saw all that fuzz and hair wrapped around the crown stem I started to gag, then you pull it out of the case, flip it over and like I said, surprised the heck out of me. I cannot remember any used or old watch that looked that good with maybe the exception of my railway Rockford pocket watch. Can't wait to see what you do to that fine lady.. Let me know if you want a 20lb bag of more old vintage gals.. The really really small ones I will have to sell as is. I already got most of them cleaned and running great again.. BTW so many watch brands out there it's not even funny! Anyone ever hear of a Sears watch? Mind you it was made by Sears and even though it is a mechanical manual. Still looks pretty cheap, like it was made at Sears lol. Its nice and clean, runs great now, even took out the scratched up plastic lens out and replaced it with a cheaper crystal. Cheaper as in I didn't hardly pay anything for the who lot of many different sizes from a pawn and jewelry shop that I do a lot of watch repairs and some clock repairs for. They don't like to take clocks unless they know its one I am looking out for. Mainly its Rolex's Rolex's and a pocket watch here or there, then more Rolex's! Honestly I am NOT a Rolex fan. I do like the more rare ones with the leather or gator straps and like mine that has an actual pearl face with platinum case.. I only wore it three times in my life. Wonder if I will ever get to wear my Breitling.. Good luck Mr. Watchmaker! Look forward to seeing what you do as always..
Great vid again, v enjoyable to watch. How do you remember which screws came from where when re-assembling? Do they tend to follow a size/ form convention or is it trial and error which ends up on the cutting room floor 😉
With the watches I've worked on, mostly vintage American pocket watches, screws generally fit correctly only where they belong. Some of them, such as bridge screws, might be interchangeable, but others, like those holding down the setting lever or click, probably are not.
I think I half look forward to your watch repairs and half your sweet little boy coming in and out of frame. Close up shots were worth the extra trouble. So helpful to all of us just starting out on our own watch repair journeys..
Interesting and effective the idea of disassembling the different bridges of the filming with the wooden stick, so as not to scratch the original finish.....!!!!!

In fairness, it's not the usual bag of junk bought for a song, but a collection of luxury brands with dials in excellent vintage condition. Quite the find ! Thanks.
As usual you repair instead to change, the easiest way to do the watchmaker! I appreciated a lot you follow the suggestion to use a small wood instead the tweezer to jump ot the bridges! Anothe one could be to use a brass or plastic arms tweezer too…Great Maestro indeed

Great job as always!! Brilliant! My grandfather left me his Omega Seamaster from the 1960/70's and I plan to have it serviced. He has been gone for approximately 20 years so I know it needs service. I contacted one place that supposedly specializes in vintage Omega watches and inquired how much approximately I would be looking at for a regular service w/o replacement of parts. They told me that when they service an Omega watch, it ALWAYS needs new parts. I have seen enough repair videos from Master Watch Makers such as yourself that this is not true. I will continue to look for a watch service center that has integrity. Keep up the great videos. Cheers from Central Oregon in the States.
Omega will do it for $550 if thre are no huge issues and will offer a dial redo for about a grand but you don't have to get that. There is some info on their website and a watch that old will get sent to Switzerland for the service. Takes three to four months usually.
I bought a square version of this for my wife with the same integrated bracelet only this one is marked with a 375 fior 9K gold. Again manual wind, and beautiful little movement.

JOe, my new lens is a F2.8 100mm so it does macro well but can be a minimum 4" away or much longer. obviously meaning you can film and work under it without it being in the way. Happy to PM you the details.
Thanks for the info Mike. Mine is a 28mm f3.5 so the super macro feature has to be pretty close. I think I need to upgrade the camera from a canon to Sony.

In fairness, it's not the usual bag of junk bought for a song, but a collection of luxury brands with dials in excellent vintage condition. Quite the find !
Thanks.
I worked as an accountant for many years but never got such a beautiful wristwatch. Your accountant must be very happy with you. 👍
As usual you repair instead to change, the easiest way to do the watchmaker!
I appreciated a lot you follow the suggestion to use a small wood instead the tweezer to jump ot the bridges!
Anothe one could be to use a brass or plastic arms tweezer too…Great Maestro indeed
The macro shots are beautiful. They really bring out the textures and craftsmanship that goes in to making each part. Once again, beautiful work!
I have no ambition to do anything remotely close to what I see you do..I watch bc I love Tedious and Meticulous wrk. And you have the best sense of humor. I also love that you’re a family man and that you love with a good heart. Be well and stay safe. god bless you 🇺🇸❤️
Another lovely vid. Puts me in the right frame of mind to go about my day. In Sri Lanka for the next 7 months so your vids are a very welcome slice of happiness from home. God Bless you and your Family. Peace ✌️
@@tomlopez9385 Thank you! I honestly did not even think to look at Omega due to the age of the watch. Sounds like a plan! Cheers
I bought a square version of this for my wife with the same integrated bracelet only this one is marked with a 375 fior 9K gold. Again manual wind, and beautiful little movement.
Watchfinder look out. Joe has taken his first step into macro watch shots!
Another brilliant video mate, thanks!
Great video. The macros were awesome, but measuring the salt with a ruler.. priceless 😂
Lol, thanks mate
Hello there. I watched yesterday and tried to comment, but your video had been converted to 'private', so here I am today to give you another like and tell you that you did a grand job, but I'm not sure you could have managed without Trouble. You brought the watch back to life. I enjoyed watching you work no end and thank you for uploading. Tara a bit.
Thank you 🙏
It’s a lot of fun to watch your videos. You do a lot of good in this little world that you influence. Thanks. I’m a yank, but I lived in Birmingham for a while in the early eighties as a missionary. Ta ra duck.
Wonderful, the macro has taken your amazing skills to another level. Many thanks from Crete Greece 😎🇬🇷
Those cal 620's are my fave movement to work on, so easy and simple, I currently have one watch in my permanent collection with one, (my PFP) and 2 in my workshop.
I’m addicted to your channel.
The macro shots are great and of good quality.
My now most favourite TH-cam channel! You sir are... enjoyable funny! Thank you for sharing!
Cue fifes and drums. This project deserves a good beating. March on!
Whenever I see any of your new videos, I click LIKE straight away because I know it's going to be good. I wish I could do what you do. My gorilla fingers would kill anything that delicate. You have a surgeon's touch, my friend. Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks Dave
I haven't been to your channel in a while. It was so pleasant to visit again. You continue to amaze and delight me.
Nice to see that salt and baking soda are good for something! Glad to see Trouble was helping... :-)
you have me enthralled, I am binge watching all of your videos! As has been said, I found your reflection dancing so funny, please keep up the commentary, not much makes me smile these days, but you do! 🙂
I always learned that the recipe for tarnish removal uses washing soda (sodium carbonate) and not baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). But no salt was required. Never tried your approach but the washing soda works very well. Really enjoy your excellent videos
Thanks for sharing your incredible macro views with everyone. You are truly a talented fellow. That mainspring repair was inspirational. Keep them coming.
What a beautiful watch and strap. Together they look so bling bling blingo! Thanks for that journey.
What a beautiful watch! not just the finished article but the inside machine. exquisit
Love your productions and inclusion of your family! Feel like I am watching a junior watchmaker in training:) Especially appreciate your sense of humor. You make my day every time you release a new production! Thanks for investing in macro equipment! Nice!
Thank you 🙏
Thank you. My Accountant and I enjoy your vids and listening to your banter. I hope you and your family are doing well.
Thank you 🙏
I found your channel a few days ago. I was impressed and I’ve been bingeing! Video quality has come on big-time! Carry on Brummie fella!
Another nice and appreciate restoration ! I learn some trick each time we have a new Nekkid video and for sure I’ll become better as you somewhere in the future !! You can call this video “The macro experience” and for sure you got it !! A lot of nice shot, my preference go to the alien macro shot 😄👌✨. Thanks again for sharing and have me nice morning moments !!
Thank you 🙏
