    This is a highly educated talk on the subject of impressionism impressionism I recommend all of my students to learn from this video.

    Monet's ''Sunrise'' was painted in 1872.
    Take a look at some of the landscapes of J.M.W. Turner painted in the 1840s ...30 years earlier.
    I think there is a good case to be made for the argument that Turner predated the Impressionists' style of painting.

      It’s said that Monet actually studied Turner’s work. I agree with you, he definitely influenced this later movement.

    If you are going to pronounce Monet as the French do, then you should pronounce Degas also as the French do...not Daygah.
