So Crunch's invincibility mask is Aku Aku, no surprise there
In Polar Pass if you go to Time Trial, Oxide's gost will show you another shortcut just before you started the clip in 4:06
Nice video, really helpful. Just thought I would mention there is another fence on Blizzard Bluff you can hop over that is just before the one you hopped over. I have no idea if it is faster or slower though

The effort in choosing characters that go with the track is such a small but great detail
With their original kart colour too.
I just stick with megumi I really didn't care
You missed one at Out of Time, when coming out of the clock-building you can jump to the left skipping the entire corner
Mitchel Graauw you can do that anymore there's a wall that stops you from. Cutting the jump like you was able to in CNK days
I literally did it yesterday in online. You have to take the second ramp though

Just figured Oxides Time Trial uses it as well, so if you cant figure it out, just watch the Oxide ghost

There is a big shortcut on 'hot air skyway'.
After the first jump where the 2 roads aline. At the end turn, and use the slope to jump over the fence to get on the other line. Skips like 15 secs. Used it back in the days with the original CTR. Keep it a secret. Your welcome

Some are actual short-cuts while others are just cutting corners by driving through grass etc
Still shortcuts as they are faster than the main route (if done correctly) I think that's why he put and tricks in his title count these as a trick :)

great vid but in Hot Air speedway you can jump the wall on that really sharp u-turn at the end of the track if you’re going fast enough

sandywolfr26 Yeah I think you need blue fire though. I’ve never done it but i’ve seen it done a bunch
@@sandywolfr26 you can but if you land on the wall at all it resets you so you have to have the correct angle and speed it can be tricky
@@SlabOfSteak Normal boost from a power slide is enough if you get the angle right.

In all seriousness, everyone. You need to know these shortcuts and master them if you're gonna beat Tropy's and Oxidie's times. (Tropy's times on the CTR tracks in order to unlock him)
You have to beat Tropy's time on CTR and CNK tracks to unlock him !

Mario Kart: Yes we only have a few shortcuts that you need mushrooms to use
CTR: Lol here's a ramp so you can jump over a wall and skip half the map
Unlike in Mariokart you need more skill in CTR to use shortcutsand not only one fucking item for every shortcut

There's 1 more in polar pass the little floating ice blocks with boost pads you can jump.right from 1 of them skipping 1 or 2 of them and a corner and 1 more in out of time after you go in the click when you are coming out the 2nd jump you can jump left over another fence skipping about 5-10second by cutting a decent sized corner out
I feel like some of these were exploits (rather than intentional shortcuts) on the original game and they decided to keep them.
if they were you have to use them to beat N. Tropy and Oxide in the Time TRials

they have been modified, in the Original Games these were some pretty hard short cuts

I wish they removed stuff like the PapuPyramid corner jump from online. Too good not to use and make them basically become the new route everyone will have to take if they want a chance to win.
I dont mind shortcuts generally but these have too much impact.

sadly youll have to use them if you ever want to beat N. Tropy in Time Trial cause he uses them too
The papu corner shortcut is not difficult to learn and most of these shortcuts can be nailed with practice.
If anything they’ve made it easier to access these shortcuts vs the original

Missed quite a few shortcuts, especially polar pass where you skip the middle “U turn” section
Don't take the last polar pass shortcut. Short maybe, effective?? No. That track has a Super Turbo Pad that makes you N. Sanely faster.
If you have enough turbo boost reserves you can keep it far into the tracks if not the whole track.

missed a major one in hot air skyway but I can’t blame you if you don’t know how to u-turn
wellll you missed 2 short cuts, theres a coral area in Deep Sea Driving that you can blast across, In assemnly lane there is a convayor belt you can drive straight across there's also a corner you can skip in electron avenue aswell as polar pass

You really shouldn't say all, there's always gonna be shortcuts people haven't discovered. There's a few missing from this and I've only played for a few days.
sewer speedway shortcut is so broken.
if u jump too early u crash into the wall.
if u jump at the peak u all most make it.
if u jump too late u make it.
spent an hour trying to get the relic for this one, tropy ghost was a lot easier since u could just speed trough the levels with n.gin
Yes I agree the timing is really thin. Need to succeed three times in a row to beat that lil' Oxide boy.

Missed a couple, there is one at the start of meter gorge (falow the gost in time trile) and one in electric Avenue but thats the only ones i can think of right now

The gears in Clockwork Wumpa prevent you from power sliding, is it still faster than going the regular route?
you can powerslide on them i do it all the time and is still as it was in CNK

You can jump both rails in Blizzard Bluff which is also required for the trophy
i only used one for the trophy....

6:20 I remember in the original you can jump over that wall by turning back from further down the slope (having the wall at your left).

@@hana_belle_ as far as i know the Grand Prix are free updates but characters have to be earned or bought with Wompa Coins

Sewer Speedway shortcut is full of lies! This is coming from a veteran, It does not work like it should. The height the hops give you is inconsistent.

Its still in, but you need to u turn or air brake to do it
Some of those requires crazy luck in order to have the specific power up to succeed or right drift,at least can someone tell me if i can play those to take the trophy on time attack as well?
Just a case of do them if you have the powerup then and avoid them if you don't just notice to remember if you get the powerup
Do they still have cheat code wich unlocks N. Tropy instantly ?

I saw in one vid that unlocked Penta with a cheat. I think tropy can be unlocked as well
@@darkrl591 tropy has to be done the legit way Penta is a Cheat code cause it used to be back in 1999

That polar pass shortcut right? I think it's still there because it's extremely hard to pull off. Not everyone can do usf the entire lap

If you’re talking about jumping over the divider that splits the track, tough luck. They raised the barrier much higher than before to discourage people from doing that. It was never intended as a shortcut, as it cuts out WAY too much of the track.
@@SirSomeguy That's actually not true. The shortcut is still there, you just have to get that blue boost and easy pz.
@@BravestWarriorSubs I'll believe it when someone actually posts a video of them jumping over the divider. To which Beenox will catch wind and patch it out because, again, it is not an intended shortcut. The divider was made twice as high and solid for a reason.

All? One from each is not all. Especially when many are not actual shortcuts. I wouldn't have commented at all, except I'm really pissed because I just tried several and they're completely impossible to hit unless you're going turbo which I don't know how to do on command.

Taking shortcuts is easier said than done, especially on Time Trials (N. Tropy never takes shortcuts).

Nitro fueled drift meter is easier to use for timing your mini turbos as each line the bar passes makes your boost last longer. I use speedometer and just look at my wheels.
