Na bro iv watched the patriots in my spare time and I can’t remember outside of Randy Moss the Pats having a number 1 receiver. They always had a strong running game, good tight ends, and an excellent route runner in the slot. We mirror that to a T right now all we are missing is the top 15 defense

Doesn't mean anything if people don't know what they're talking about. Carr has been one of the best things about this franchise since he's been here. Granted ups and downs but A huge reason we made the playoffs this year and 5 years ago is because of Carr. This past season showed leadership and furthered the argument he can win games when it matters, close ones and amidst a ton of turmoil.

It's not so much the money as it is the cap hit. Dak Prescott signed a 4 yr-160M dollar deal with 125M guaranteed and $75M in new money last year. His cap hit was only $17.5M (Lower than DC's current cap hit). Not saying DC will get that, but even in the neighborhood there are ways to structure it that it lowers the cap hit and allows for spending at other positions. That said, I don't think the Raiders will make any "splash" signings of big names, but rather re-sign some of our own FAs and add some quality pieces as they head into the draft.

Raiders need to move past Carr. He is a good QB but wont take the team to the Superbowl. He leads the league in fumbles over the last 4 years and is terrible in the red zone. In critical situations he wont run. He plays scared at times. To sum up Carr is to see the last play vs Cincinnati, Clean pocket on fourth down and throws short of the endzone with the receiver more than covered, The season on the line and his throw had no chance. Another 1/2 second and Waller would of been clear for the TD.
He's not the problem for the 10,000th time. He can win games with the best of them, and yes he fumbles too much and at times is a bit timid.. may be part of the reason he's only missed 2 career games. Can't win if you are hurt. It's not so much the money as it is the cap hit. Dak Prescott signed a 4 yr-160M dollar deal with 125M guaranteed and $75M in new money last year. His cap hit was only $17.5M (Lower than DC's current cap hit). Not saying DC will get that, but even in the neighborhood there are ways to structure it that it lowers the cap hit and allows for spending at other positions. That said, I don't think the Raiders will make any "splash" signings of big names, but rather re-sign some of our own FAs and add some quality pieces as they head into the draft.

Now be honest, when has ANYONE gotten rid of a 10 win playoff quarterback? A quarterback that stays getting better even when his O-line is crap and his receivers pull a Antonio Brown, or a Henry Ruggs? Coach Josh knows that he can’t find better unless he lands a Deshawn Watson. Derek is only 30 and he doesn’t drink alcohol or takes performance drugs. Hell he doesn’t even cuss lol. He’s getting better and has room to improve and has A LOT of years left. Coach Josh left a VERY comfortable and secure job in New England and Derek Carr was one of the main reasons.
Why would he take this job with Mahomes, Herbert, and possibly Rodgers in the division if he didn’t have confidence in DC? He left a 10 winning organization with a rookie quarterback!! If we have the kinda O-lines Brady had with one or two more good receivers with Renfro and Waller, Foster, Jacobs, Drake. Josh McDaniels isn’t crazy. He knows he’s closer to a Tom Brady style quarterback in Derek Carr than any other quarterback except Joe Burrow, Matt Stafford and Josh Allen. Give DC a line and 2 more weapons and with Brady gone he will be top 5 or 6.

Derek's situationis unique in the fact that I am sure he doesn't want to play next season as a Lame DuckQB. That's what concerns me that if they don't extend him, I'm afraid he's going to take it personaly and I really can't blame him.

No he did not have a career low qbr.. he had 4 other seasons lower, had 14 Int, had 13 two other times but most passing yards per game of his career.. also threw the ball the most times he has in his career.. still has a 2 td to 1 int ratio for his career.

Raiders need to move past Carr. He is a good QB but wont take the team to the Superbowl. He leads the league in fumbles over the last 4 years and is terrible in the red zone. In critical situations he wont run. He plays scared at times. To sum up Carr is to see the last play vs Cincinnati, Clean pocket on fourth down and throws short of the endzone with the receiver more than covered, The season on the line and his throw had no chance. Another 1/2 second and Waller would of been clear for the TD.
He's not the problem for the 10,000th time. He can win games with the best of them, and yes he fumbles too much and at times is a bit timid.. may be part of the reason he's only missed 2 career games. Can't win if you are hurt. Give him a better OC.. under gruden our OC and red zone play calling was terrible and so was that last play of the game vs bengals. Many other qbs wouldn't even had that last play, he gave us a shot

Waller would not have been open on that last play. Bell was capping his vertical break. The playcall was 100% intended for Zay. He was the only one who fired off the ball, while everyone else was jogging.
