Hello all , Worked for Exxon Mobil ( J.A.M.) Texas /Dallas. Just watched Video ! Wondering why I did not focus on Sticking Tanks and Showing how to use Chart to Know The amount of Product needed to Fill tanks ( 90%) Fuels and oils . Propane ( 80%) or spray solid when filling pera Volume . I have many years of Training and Know my tanks and How to use charts and Sticking tanks . Chocking wheels is a Great way to help make sure all things stay safe ( Corp eyes watching ) Eye and face protection would help if the tank did the old Burp . The trucking and fueling system is full of dangers and constant challanges , Thanks for sharing video .

Thanks. Great video but that was my main question “how does one know how much?” so thanks for your brief breakdown.
The old burp... wow ouch. I ran a cherry picker for about a year and many would skip a few clips, vest and straps to be quick not even considering the possibility of “the old fall”.
Getting so comfortable after doing it for a while. What’s the money and time demands for a position like this?

It’s pretty physical depending on the work. Like if you’re fleet fueling. You could have a stop with over 100 trucks. It will take you three hours that hose heavy a gallon of diesel weighs 7 pounds. Most of the hoses hold 20-30. You have to drag through all weather. If you have construction equipment you have to climb every and fill them. It’s hard work but pays well depending on the area you live. On the other hand if you have tank fills that’s easy money. But fleet work will make you want to quit somedays if you work more than 55 hours a week.

You said it! I moved to another state and took the first job that called me. Was only looking for a job for a day or two. I got hired on the spot. I had fun for the first few months, then I realized I hate this line of work! Especially huge fricken stops. A quarter mile or more of double tanked tractors stacked side by side. Two to three hour stops. Got back into pulling tankers. SOOO MUCH HAPPIER! If I can help it, I will NEVER do on-site fueling again. Part time would be ok. One day a week for some extra cash, but not full time. Hell no!
