    That's not a comparison both of them are great. There is nothing weighing more on one side except for height, weight,and age. Now if I'm 4th & 7 I'm going with Aaron and to get 70 yards down the field in the last minute for a comeback I'm going with Brady. They have special talents in different areas.

  • @KyleKapusta
    @KyleKapusta 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    People costantly mix up legacy and talent. It's no question that Tom Brady has the best legacy out of any quarterback in NFL history, but Aaron Rodgers can do so many things with the football that other people can't, even Tom can't do many of the things Aaron can. These past few years in the playoffs, Rodgers has been let down by his defense giving up big numbers and Mike McCarthy going into the prevent defense and offense. Tom has had an amazing supporting cast around him during many of his superbowl runs (Gronk, Moss, Edelman, Bennett, Revis, Butler, etc.)
    So Brady is the G.O.A.T, but to answer the question of "Who would I rather start a franchise around?" I have to go with the more talented player in Aaron Rodgers.

    I feel like this is a reasonable stand on the Brady Rodgers debate. Brady has 5 rings, a top 5 NFL coach ever hands down, and most of the time a pretty solid defense. Rodgers has 1 ring, a good coach with a front office holding them back by reaching in drafts, and taking old players while expecting them to play like their prime. Brady is the most successful hands down, but it takes a TEAM to win a super bowl. Rodgers hasn’t had a TEAM he has had to make do with nothing but himself and a mediocre supporting cast. Brady is the more successful. Rodgers is the more physically and athletically talented.

    People still keep forgetting that rings are a team accomplishment. Yeah that 25 point comeback was special but it wasn't all Tom like you're making it sound. That defense came in clutch with a force fumble when the falcons could've ended a game with a field goal already in field goal range, and after that fumble the defense kept them to no score, leaving it to the offense with was clutch to even the score then win but it's not Brady that only came through any quarterback in that position that is referred as great like Big Ben, Aaron, Bree's would have marched down and score.

    Rodgers has more physical talent. Stronger arm, faster, more mobile. Brady is better because he's smarter. He doesn't need physical talent to be dominant. It's why he's been so good for so long. We will have to see what happens when Rodgers gets older and his legs start to leave him. Then we will see if he can use his smarts to carry him like Brady and Peyton did

  • @ericbixby
    @ericbixby 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I think any team would be stupid not to take Rodgers over Brady. let's start with Rodgers. he has by far the best td to interception ratio in quarterback history, and has the highest qbr ever. he has only thrown more than 10 picks once, while Brady has done done multiple times, in a much better system. I'll admit it, Rodgers looked ugly at the end of the 2015-2016 season, and bad at the start of the 2016-2017 season, but that was about 12 games. Brady actually went through an even worse stretch, but instead for 20+ games, but everyone forgot because his defense was carrying them and winning games. Rodgers almost never has a running game or a defense, while Brady has both, and the best coach in football history. Brady has won 5 rings, but two(Atlanta and Seattle) were decided on plays that Brady wasn't even involved in. Seattle hands it off, they win the super bowl, Atlanta runs it a couple more times instead of getting sacked, eventually kick a field goal, Atlanta wins the super bowl. Edelman doesn't make the luckiest catch ever, Atlanta wins the super bowl. Rodgers is faster, better outside the pockets, has a better arm, shown by his incredible hail Mary's, and throws less picks with a higher qbr. put Rodgers on Patriots and Brady on green bay, Tom Brady never even turns into a Superstar, and Aaron Rodgers has 5+ super bowls.

    • @PJ-gx8ip
      @PJ-gx8ip 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's cool and all but Brady is a Superstar and Rodgers has only one. The reality is they played with the hand they were given and Brady made the best of it I can't fault him for that nor Rodgers.

      thats funny cuz everytime people say rodgers is better than brady they only mention physical outside th epocket talent. , last time i checked theres way more to quaterbacking than just physical talent. paatriots offense is the most complicated, hardest to understand and manoeuvre in the league. brady's quickness and accuracy in post snap read is the best, his presnap read is the best, football iq is the best ( you can argue peyton manning, but i think its very close), performance under pressure is the best. ability to manage the clock and control time of possession is the best. best understanding of situational football. doesnt hold onto ball for long. best at making low risk easy completions that will move the chain. brady has running game? their runnign game is decent at best. defense carrying? i dont think defense scoreed that many points in the superbowls. the if game? if eli didnt get lucky twice brady would be 7-0. put rodgers on patriots offense = cannot understand offense and hold ball too long.

    • @basilfederer96
      @basilfederer96 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      rodgers cannot understand the offense are you out of your mind? 1. rodgers (as just discussed) is way more physically talented and therefore can do more than brady. 2. How could you possibly make that assuption? rodgers appears to me to be one of the smartest if not the smartest player in the league (not talkting on the field, just interviews etc. and also his high school and college grades, wonderlic, sat etc.) and when it comes to on the field: have you ever listened to the other nfl players talk about him? they all say that he's one of the smartest qb's ever. no one surveys the field like him in the blink of an eye and for example ist able to count the opponents players on the field and catch them off guard. don't give me that bullshit.
      I can't see a single point besides "intangibles" and rings and post season record (which, again, are team stats) Aaron rodgers is better in every sense of the word

      @deonterector1066 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      drkInxgud Eagles safety Malcom Jenkins joined GameDay First on Saturday ahead of the divisional playoff games to answer that question.
      "I'd rather play against Tom Brady, because at the end of the day I know he's going to be three yards from that center and he's not moving from that spot," Jenkins said. "You can get after him and try and get pressure on him. He's obviously going to still make plays but the one thing about playing Aaron Rodgers is, if you want to get after him, he's good at beating you no matter how he does it.
      "Whether he's mobile, you get him out of the pocket and he's just as accurate. He can buy time. He's smart enough to change the plays at the line of scrimmage and get 'em in advantageous plays, get the ball out quick. He does it all. He's Russell Wilson and Tom Brady combined. And he's the hardest player, for me in terms of a quarterback, to play against."
      Malcolm Jenkins played against Rodgers and Brady more than 2 times....Rodgers probably hold ball longer because he plays in more vertical offense that is predictable that receivers don't work off of each other.

    What you expect from a QB Brady does. Both see the field the same, both play for keeps, there's simply something special about Brady that Rodgers doesn't possess.
    It's like Brady wants it more than anyone playing the game ever could. How many QBs form Brady's draft left? How many 6th rd picks have been as successful? How many 1st rd picks have been this successful?
    Brady is another lvl no one will ever play at this lvl of FB in the modern era again. Once in a generation, once in a lifetime talent and player.

    Sharpe's analysis of SB 51 is ignorant, because it is based on cliches and not the actual game context. The Falcons never had a 25-point lead and the ball where they could run. After 28-3, the Patriots got the ball and scored (28-9). So they only had a 19-point lead to protect by running the ball. At that point, they were still in the 3rd quarter, and everyone would have ripped them for going that conservative with that much time left. When it was 28-12 with about 11 minutes left, that was a short drive (it ended with the Ryan fumble inside ATL territory) so it wasn't like they had all that many downs to run with. At 28-20, they would have lost the game faster by starting off that drive with runs. They got to the 22 yard line with passes. They should have run on 2nd down there--that's really the only completely valid criticism of the play-calling. By third down, no team is running on 3rd and 17 or whatever to try to set up a 53 yard FG. That's just revisionism to suit a narrative. And at 28-28, they had to pass because there was a minute left.
    Sharpe is actually using the fact that the ATL offense got stymied as a case for why Brady isn't that great. He led the offense on 4 TD / 1 FG drives, and 2 2-pt conversions, consecutively, with absolutely no margin for error, on the biggest stage in the world, to win his 5th ring. This discussion is over. Come back to me when Rodgers and his amazing TD/INT ratio actually comes up big in a few more postseason games.

    Rodgers- More talented and gifted, can make throws NOBODY can make, both can read a defense like a 1st grade book to a 12th grader, is more accurate, stronger arm, runner, in every way you want is a better QB.
