I find it interesting that when they add new ways to loot bases (rpgs and such) everyone is all like YAY! But when someone finds a way to actually keep all their hard fought loot safe from other looters people get utterly pissed and call it cheap or unfair. I only play on PvE servers myself because I think PvP just turns everybody in toxic little 12 year olds sooner or later and I can't be bothered to deal with it. I understand the frustration you feel as a raid having watched all this, though I feel the frustration of the person getting raided (since anytime I play any kind of pvp that is what inevitably happens and then I swear it off for another year), all that hard work making those walls, planting the minefield, getting the gold locks, the zapper, everything, and someone gets through it in like 1/100th of the time it took to set up. Idk if there is anything more debilitatingly depressing then spending 20-30 hours building and securing a base only to have someone break in and take all your crap in under 30 minutes.
its fine to keep ur loot safe, but not when they make it unreachable. Thats not how it should be.
@@drgrant1532 As far as Scum goes unreachable is the only thing that would be safe that I can think of. Even that isn't truly safe because if someone doesn't like it they can just blow the base up and watch all that loot crumble into nothing.

unfortunately whole raiding system is horseshit. After 0.9 and flooding servers with a load of RPG and rockets it is rly hard to make a base. Every proper raiding group can blow your stand alone base with easy. The Raiding system should be changed in a way that u cant simply destroy your way in and the picklocking system is another problem. Some time ago u just needed to put a wall before doors to prevent ppl from picklock. The picklock system also need a bit of change to make it harder or they just need to add more variety of locks.
It is now a problem that I spend like week to build a base to save my loot and raiders can just run throught it in less than 15 min.
Well there has to be some protection against pro lockpickers also. Casual players that play like 5-10h in a week can not farm thath much to set up a good base. And, after 1 month of farming some guy comes and PAM your loot is gone. So... a good base design is ok in my op. If you are a hardcore player, you can get some explosives and get in anyway. It should not be that easy just with lockpicking.
There are multiple ways to protect it from lock pickers. You can board up the doors with a wall or you can use dial locks. You can make your base with a jump in instead so people have to blow up the walls in order to get in. But making your loot unreachable is not the way this game should be
Nice video as always Grant, I agree on the stairs meta although I really dont know what the devs can do to change it. Also I remember in your first video you said you were now speedrunning A. Bunkers now. If possible can you make a video or a shorts explaining the tricks behind it for noobies who don't want to spend 2-3 hours looting these places?

if you make a proximity switch for your mines they will kill them before they get close enough to defuse. Setting foliage to low is good for finding mines and also loot boxes and players in bushes.
I’ve never liked the fact that in order to have an advantage in some games, I have to dumb down my graphics.

They reworked the basebuilding 4 times and they still dont get it , these devs are really bad at their job
The best way the devs can change this is by making the flag have the same properties as a TC in Rust. once the raider has control of the flag he can build in the flag zone. the you can just build your own stairs.
Is flag takeover common or desired in pvp? I figured it's just raiding and looting. Bringing pvp over into our server and was curious to flag takeover. Ours is max time so people don't abandon bases so quickly.

Hey man have a question, couldnt taking a empty wooden chest and dragging it across ground on your pat hahead of you set off mines?
You can put chests on mines, so that does not work well anymore
Also take the idea of building over water. If the base is destroyed by rockets/explosions, then the loot is lost and not recoverable. Exploding the base would drop the loot into the water.

One way that it can be ended, is for Server Admins to put in place a rule that no loot should be accessible *only* to Base Owners/Squad Members... if they have to build a Stair, Knock down a Wall or Remove an Item that prevents access (A Wardrobe, for example) to Loot, then they are in violation and should be reported.
Well that only works for private servers. Official is the problem

Thats not abuse. It just shows the cons of playing on high settings. Most people play low settings. Its not abuse to play low settings
Don’t know if anyone has said this yet but you can destroy the walls then build a foundation and a ramp outside there flag zone and jump in with the bike
Yeah I know this trick, but it requires that you destroy your own flag to build another you know. You could use an alt account ofc, but this is not a viable solution for the game

Seeing how RPG rockets deal a similar amount of damage to C4, with the fact that rockets are a LOT easier to get and they give you 4 at a time, i really see no point of doing killboxes anymore
The only time where C4 does more damage than RPG is against the big walls (at least from my testing)
With KillBox keycards being harder to get and the things i mentioned, C4 is pretty useless now
Also, i noticed RPG rockets deal splash damage to other elements, C4 does not (or barely does)
the good thing about C4 is that you can place them together with other c4's, nades or TNT to insta take down the wall. If you RPG raid then people can repair their flag while you are shooting. But i wish there were certant bunkers you could fin RPG only, and not every bunker. It would also increase conflict between players and also make players grind c4 to avoid the high conflict areas u know
you can use C4 too. Most effective way to raid bases

Depending on the server rules just blow up the walls or foundations and then they don’t get the loot either for being shitty like that.

This is something that a lot of people have been using because of the cheaters they can just jump through walls and auto pick anything the devs said they are working on a new anti Chet system but they haven’t said anything about cheaters except for banning them which does nothing at all

its more about having way to fight this stuff. We had planes for a while but they are gone now until next update. But there should be other ways than only planes u know
I used to like your videos but youre a shadey player man, Changing settings to spot mines, glitching to climb walls. Then turn around a cry that you cant get to his loot insinuating that building stairs then tearing them down so you can't get up. Boosting eachother up to places was not intended for the game. But neither was chopping stairs to make your loot unreachable either. But it seems that is okey for you…. It seems to me that you are just in favor of the defender….

I love lock picking. It requires skill. But now most people use dial locks instead of normal locks which makes it even harder since it requires fame points to open up…
@@drgrant1532 it promotes offline raiding without any stress of counter raids because no noise . So I don't like it tbh.
And don't get me started on fame omg that's a broken mechanic now.
@@P1DZz that is true, its not fun to raid dial lock online. I think it would be good if it didn’t take any fame to open. Because fame is the problem right now. You need so much fame to buy stuff at the trader, to even get a car it takes 320 fame. If you raid you can’t use the trader for a while. 1 dial lock can take up to a maximum of 142 fame which is nuts. Dial locks should not require fame. 1 death is all it take for the raid to end. The defender can sit in base and trow nades and kill you and there is nothing you can do about it other than ti leave the raid to save your fame…..

those small anti personal mines are really good to hide, same with anti vehicle mines are good in grass. But those inpromised ones are hard to hide. Even when you bury them
