Depends which hub you buy. This one has a tab built into the casting so it cancels. I have in the passed drilled and inserted a metal dowel to do the same on hubs which don't have the tab. 👍🐷
This is pretty much the same on the Peugeot 106 right? I’ve got the air back off and everything disconnected, I just don’t know what is the best tool to get the middle part out so I can remove the steering wheel completely
@@PiggyPower I can’t remember the name for the screw/bolt but when you take the airbag out and there’s a big middle bolt that’s attached to the steering rack Column I didn’t know what you used would work on the 106 aswell, sorry I know what I’m going on about in my head but I can’t seem to write down what I’m trying to say 😂
@@PiggyPower yeah it’s a hex shape, I noticed you put it in your description so I’ll go buy it now! So excited to get the new wheel on. I bought a dnd black with purple stitch alcantara steering wheel ( I can’t spell it 😂) with a purple quick release and with a black boss kit, so it’s slowly going along nicely! Do you have instagram so I can show you when I’ve put it on?
No it wouldn't make my insurance any more expensive. Not sure about your insurance though... Each car, person, location and insurance company vary wildly. 👍🐷
its always a little scary playing with those bombs when removing a steering wheel
No power... No bomb ignition! Hence battery removal and waiting 👌
@@PiggyPower Its the imagination that makes it scary. Theres no chance that it would explode. But the thought of it.
I looked for about a week how to do this just so a got it right and there was nothing and had to just wing it 🤣 great video tho
Haha. Sorry. Sort of lol
does this hub cancel your indicators automatically? or do you have to do it manually because of the aftermarket hub?

Exactly the same as a 106. Not sure what you mean by the middle part? Or best tool?

It's either a bolt with a normal hex shape or a torx. Use whichever fits. 👍

All the best 👍 see the description for links to Instagram and FB 🐷👍
Hi mate. Did you keep the airbag cable?
Cable stays in the column (if it's an airbag model)
@@PiggyPower is the cable still connected ? Thanks
@@kritz7053 still connected to what?
Will this cause the airrbag light to come on? Because the airbag isnt there on the omp one
It could do, so either need a resistor fitted or if it's for track & race use, then you'd need to disable or remove the airbag system anyway
@@PiggyPower or remove the airbag light bulb 🤣
Indeed, this would also be an option, it may well fail the MOT for it.
@@PiggyPower thank you for the replies mate great video 👍
What resistor we need to put and where
Hello. Can you tell me what hub and brand are you using? Thank you!
Both purchased on eBay. 👍🐷
will this hub fit a peugeot 106 1.1l 1996????
they all use the same columns
Does the 106/saxo boos hub fits 306 ?
No. But the 306 hubs would fit a 306 👌
I have a 306 hub wich is the same specs as a saxo hub
How much milimeter is the steering wheel in diameter?
Can't recall, likely 300 or 330 as they are common sizes, but you just buy whatever size you want 👍😃🐷
@@PiggyPower ok, i was thinking about a 300mm but thought it maybe would be too small. Thx for the reaction👍🏻😄
what wheel it is ?
A steering wheel 👌😜🐷
Would this make your insurance more expensive?
