In the coloratura moments her voice sparkled like diamonds, in the dramatic moments her voice was full and warm and sweet like an aged Stradivarius. And always, it soared above the orchestra and the chorus, drowning all and making the listener oblivious to the rest. In the end Brussels was, like the air says, "à ses genoux"!
