I just watched both epson 2820 and this HP video, very detailed! :D
For the colour difference, I had similar issue with my epson, but I fixed it by adjusting the saturation (I did that by +8 on the saturation) and the colour prints are warmer & closer to the original image. That also depends on the type of paper and the print setting too.
Overall, I am still learning too, so it was very useful watching your video
I added all the information in unboxing video that is in my channel. but Hp printer PRINT UP 12000 BLACK AND WHITE AND 8000 PAGES IN COLOR.
And Epson printer print up to
4,500 pages in black and white and 7,500 in color.
But i also still have to learn more about this (HP) printer hehe
The difference is huge. I love HP quality more. But some of the BTS pictures didn't look good, but i think like you said, with the settings it can be fixed.

I’m actually glad that I found your channel while I’m searching for a good printers to print my own stickers and photocards . I feel like your just like me still trying to figure & learn some & still trying to get solutions .😢 the only different thing is that I didn’t buy any printer yet . I’ve been searching from months and I found these good printers that some creators use to print their own stickers but I couldn’t find them anywhere near me.. imma share it with you .

These are some good qualities for sure . I bought a CriCut even before buying a printer lol it’s so exhausting trying to figure out which one print better before I spend my money on it
Haha so true. I liked Epson but i had so many problems with it so i switched to HP. But that’s true that i am still learning and will share my opinion about it. But for now I like HP more. I don’t know if I should recommend this printer for photocards. But if you laminate the paper then maybe yes.
Be careful of canon inkjet printers ,same as those scamming printer companies..they like to scam people on the ink catridges
I bought the same printer about 1 year ago. At first, I liked the quality of the printed images, but now, it isn't the same. I filled the ink reservoirs when I bought it and have been using it ever since, it's never run out. Could this be because of this?

Hey, I have few videos on my channel testing different papers and i suggest you to watch my first video where i print photocards on HP printer with different settings.
Please help me whenever i print my photocards the pictures seems like have color burn filter in it and whenever i touch the picture there still ink that comes off
I'm looking for a solution and plan to make a video about it properly (if I get a solution), 🥹but for color burn try less saturation. And for the ink smear you have to try different settings. I can't tell which one until I try it myself. I had the same problem but i laminate the paper so I don’t have to worry about the smudging.

i have 2 of these [think i have 555 not 515 but they kind of look exactly same xD]and the black ink smearing on almost every paper so i will try your suggestion for the hp photo paper, althou it even smears on plain paper for me heh, or over saturating is just annoying, but the quality of prints an get really good if you dont have much black in prints XD my solution for it is simply laminate it, but that doesnt fix the black being over saturated sadly, i am yet to find a solution to that ;(
Smears on plain paper? This never happened to me. But did you try lowering the saturation? And i made a video about smearing. It's on my channel.
@@bymarcissus yes, it was accidental discovery, i was cleaning printheads so it was printing the test sheets i put them on the side, and my cat, being a cat decided they would make a good bed XD i usually use them later as scraps to put under something i am working on, so when i grabbed them there was obviously some cat fur, i ran my finger over them to remove it and noticed the ink rubbing, so i tried some other ones i printed before [thinking it might have been because the cat slept on that one ;P] but they rubbed too! so after watching your video on ink smearing i print even simple documents using the photo paper option now on those printers, but it is not true black as it just colour inks mixing to imitate it. As for saturation, yes i can edit to lower it down but that usually also affects other colours when it is not desired, so i will have to play around more with that i guess ;) anyway thank you for the video on it because at least i can avoid the ink rubbing on some things which is always helpful :)

The ink comes with the printer and it’s pigment ink.
Do you find that you still prefer this printer over the Epson 2 months on? And if so, have you managed to fix the orange/warm tones in the setting for the HP printer?

I will print photocards today and will let you know about the orange tone but to be honest it doesn’t look bad in real. And yes, i do prefer HP over Epson cause it prints fast and the colors are very vibrant which i like.

Multi pages? You just have to select the option called ( pages per sheet ) and increase the number of the pages you want to print. Hope this helps. 🥹
Hello!! I have the same HP TANK 515 printer, I have my sticker venture, photos, my problem is that the ink runs, if I change the HP ink for another, there will be no problems? I am using the ink that comes with the printer but you can try different settings, watch my previous video, i made a video about it. Hope it helps ^_^

Dye ink always fade. Pigment ink woudn’t

There are many HP printers and i dont know which one is better. Hp smart tank series 515, 519, 530, 555, 615, 670, 720, 790 .... So many of them. Does the quality increase as the numbers increase? I'm so confused about which one to buy for my art prints. I have no knowledge about this..
I like mine but the ink smear but when i laminate the sticker the art/color look vibrant and much better. Also every number(printer ) is different.

Ink smears because your printer is using dye ink. You need a printer with pigment ink if you wanted to print pictures, especially on glossy photo papers.
But the thing is.. only Epson printers are convertible to pigment or sublimation inks.
That’s true. I laminate the pictures after printing so i don’t have to worry about smears. 🙈
wrong, ink smears because HP black ink is pigment ink while colors are dye based ink.. the one smears is the black ink. You need all dye based printer for glossy paper.. perhaps vacuum then replace HP black ink with dye based ink compatible with HP printer

Dye-based ink is often used in their color cartridges because it is better at creating the vibrant colors required for photo printing. And you’re telling me that if i change the black ink with dyed based ink ,the (Black) ink will not smears? 😳
@@bymarcissus yes, you are right. But you need to clean the black ink tank, hose, and printhead then fill the tank with black dye based ink compatible with HP printer since this HP printer is thermal inkjet, if you fill it with Epson compatible ink then the printhead will clog. A few companies produce such ink, one is InkTec from Korea. Since they produce all kinds of inks for all kinds of printers so you need to know what you are looking for.

Para ser honestos creo que Epson tiene bonito tonos de colores y hp tiene muy saturados colores. Creo que en Epson si se le agrega nuevos perfiles de colores mejoraría

Tienes toda la razón, también lo noté, pero puedes mejorar la calidad de la foto bajando el punto de saturación y la foto sale bonita, pero también depende del tipo de papel que uses. He tenido muchos problemas con Epson que marcaba puntos de linea de rueda y no habia solucion pero con HP de momento no tengo problema.
@@bymarcissus voy a comprar ese modelo he tenido 2 workforce 7610 ya dañadas 3 espson xp 960 ya dañadas y para limpiar el cabezal es una tortura, el tanque de mantenimiento con los reset tuve l800 plotter epson 9890, compre una canon ix6820 despues de eso ya que imprimo bastante y dije no vuelvo a epson ahora quiero una tank pero canon o hp no quiero mas nada con epson, y lo de los colores por ejemplo en mi caso siempre imprimo desde photoshop y siempre calibro yo mismo los colores de impresión, para mi no seria problema, gracias por tu aporte.

I actually bought an HP printer too finally lol , I was staring at the canon printers and HP but I bought the HP one because I felt like It would do good , at first I printed on a holographic stickers paper and the quality was so good ! But the only problem is that it smears just like yours , but when I use a normal papers that is not glossy or anything it can be normal. So I’m trying to find the solution help mehh
@@bymarcissus but I did something I found it cool . I print the stickers on any kind of stickers papers , and then I stick on the top them the diamond holographic sheets for making them safe and shiny without touching them and smear , and then I put them on my Cricut machine and TADA ! They look so cute !! Well .. this is my solution for now only 😭
I also laminate and it look so pretty. The result of the printer is quite good tho.
So you bought Hp. Perhaps it’s a good choice. Haha. That’s true it only happens with glossy paper cause the printer is using pigment ink. I will post a video about it tomorrow. Hope it helps. 💕
