I live in Southern California. We are actually a desert. It rarely rains. All of our water is pumped in. So when the Santa Ana winds blow in from the actual desert, it can cause havoc if there is a fire. These are the worst winds I've ever seen. Some gusts were over 100 mph! It only takes a small spark. Contrary to what people think, these fires are not caused by climate change . This past year, we had the Line fire near me, caused by arson, another caused by heavy equipment sparking, and there are fires started from faulty electrical lines. @@jasonbourne5142 that may be as far as you're concerned but people have CHOICES and animals DO NOT. ok?
enough is enough.
What a thing to say!
This wind is no joke.
that reporter standing right next to the burning building! NO! And no helmet and just right there.. jeez! When will news networks get these people OUT OF THERE! Ridiculous! I feel SO bad for the people living in and around all these areas AND the PETS and I've even seen people standing around with HORSES! Why in the HELL didn't they get those horses out of there SOONER? Lives and innocent animals lives is the actual tragedy here. No matter what this whole thing is bad. I don't understand why in the heck this wasn't stopped sooner but it always seems like that. Very very SAD times and so many trolls and haters making stupid awful hateful comments that should be banned from these channels comments section and especially chats! I hope this ends SOON! So unreal in CA in December!
Maybe sometimes people leave their home during the day. Maybe they COME BACK HOME to get their animals out.
@@eh1702 Well, we don't know do we? That was kind of my point is that there are so many haters commenting awful things but THEY aren't the ones going through it. You may be right, however, even people who were "gone" or working or whatever would've heard of the fire pretty fast. I was more referring to the horses because most people would've either gotten them out well before it got that bad but I wasn't there. If I own a horse(s) I hear about the fire at work or out and about I'm ON THE PHONE calling someone to help get them out knowing at the very least there is a high risk involved. Anyway, we all tend to judge not really knowing all the circumstances. I hope this fire is ENDED as it is a horrible situation either way.
Take care.
He is also standing outside of a gas station across from that grocery store.
@@crazyaces4042 You demanded to know “Why in the HELL didn't they get those horses out of there SOONER?” The answer is, people are not home 24/7. They are not plugged into the news 24/7, and these fires are moving extremely, extremely fast.
CGI my friend! In a real situation those horses would have been dragging them down the street! THINK !
This is nothing compared to HELL…Hope you’re all saved.
Pray.
Why do reporters feel they need to put themselves in harms way/or do close-up reporting for a story? Quite foolish. In this fire situation, what if a gas line, or similar, unexpectedly blows?
Him using the same vocal tone and tenor, along with a good camera person, would sufficiently serve to show the magnitude and severity - at a much safer distance.
GOD IS MAD
Stop cursing us with your made up nonsense.
Don't put the blame on God God has nothing to do with this this is something more evil don't believe it was done by a strike of lightning

Where’s the mayor? Oh on vacation. Let’s not disturb her
Yeah...the mayor being there would change EVERYTHING!! just wave her magic wand.....
That mayor is probably equivalent of an HOA president. This is a state situation.
This is very sad hope everyone is safe praying for all😲😲
We could really do without Matt Gutmans dramatics.
Yeah you should go give something like that a try and see if you're adrenaline doesn't go through the roof.
The residents have been unable to heed the warnings and fire- -proof their homes. The reporter needs to not risk their life.
And, of course, this has nothing to do with climate change.
It doesn’t. And they have no water. California did this to themselves.
@ Fides It absolutely does.
It has to do with lots of WIND.
@Fides1.0denial…denial…denial…🙈🙉🙈🙉
climate change is the religion of the left. the vaccine is their communion.
This breaks my heart :(
Those idiots should have left hours ago.
Maybe this is payback for what they did to Maui, burning all their homes and then taking the land for condos and resorts
Gigantor is attacking Pasadena, Mothra has descended upon Sylmar, Godzilla is destroying the Pacific Palisades......bumpers ripped off, embers flying in torrents, chaos and mayhem everywhere. When monsters attack...the population is helpless.
Poop
The reporter really should be wearing a mask and not just goggles!
Tell Ole Pharaoh, " let my people go"!
These news reporters weren't even born yet. But California has been burning for decades. Nothing new.
interesting
@@PIANCARTOON Inevitable. That is the local ecology. When local trees and plants have evolved to drop seeds or to resprout rapidly after fire, that’s one indication that you are building your home in a fire-prone environment.

Our thoughts & prayers are with everyone affected by this horrific devastation. Prayers that everyone makes it to safety❤️🇨🇦
Where are 30K people going to live, Lord? Please watch over them and provide for them.
Don't worry, the jails are empty. They can move right in
Especially California is too busy being Sanctuary city for illegals and H1Bs.
...and the lord bade them to wander the in the desert for 40 years before receiving their claims checks.
you are worried about 30k people and where they are going to live? i am as well however what about the 30K+ homeless vets and more that have been on the streets and disregarded as humans for years. shameful.
We offer our condolences to all those affected in AMERICA. Please help the victims. We must show care and sympathy to everyone who suffered from this cruel natural disaster.
Thank you Svetlana.
@SvetlanaKonstantinovna-hv2pv
No those people would rather blow millions of dollars on a huge home they don't need than help anyone out so no we don't need to have sympathy for them.
Unreal. It’s hard to process.
It's CGI.... Does that help your stretched mind?
I'm not sure the media actually knows the definition of "unprecedented." Praying for the people in this area.
Its january. Its quite unsusual. Climate change is obviously going to continue making things worse tho
Of course they do they're the ones that use it all the time for fear mongering.
Unprecedented is just an over used buzz word
yep this is extremely precedented. we hear about this every year without fail
But when it doesn't rain it doesn't take much. This is REAL bad
@kenearnest3921
Seems like a desert with no water is a dumb place for millions of people to pack thierselfs into.
caused, triggered & intensified are all different things with different reasons behind them
Its beautiful. Thats why. @OIllllO
How did this fire start?
Kim kadashians crotch
Fires usually start with a spark duh
trump did it
World elite agendas. This dummie believes a spark can cause this.

REMEMBER PARADISE CALIFORNIA!!!!
yes I do. ..."caused by a poorly maintained transmission line from Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) that failed during strong winds." I lived in CA back then. It was horrible.
You mean the town in the song? The town where people tried to flee but were incinerated in their cars? Where only five died; but hundreds of mostly ashed bone fragments, were found in cars along the highway leaving town?
CA is paradise, other states every year get hits by tornadoes and hurricanes, what is the difference?
@@MrCarloszeca well, I have to disagree if you are saying that California is literally paradise because it isn't. I lived there my entire life until I moved the Arkansas 2 1/2 years ago. And yes every state has weather disasters and other events such is life I guess. There is no "REAL" paradise.. I sure wish there was but not in this life.
Take care.
Unfortunately multiple homes lost their insurance when companies terminated policies.
In a month California will complain about too much rain
Well yeah, we like are weather here
Nah, I'll be more pissed when the 'big one' strikes.
All those electric vehicle batteries will be a nightmare to put out too
That’s terrible
From South Africa...Be safe and you all are in our prayers.
Poor people, they lost everything.💔 I hope nobody comes to harm here 🙏🙏🙏
Well, a decent percentage of them haven’t lost everything by any means. They may well have other homes. They still have their “downtown” jobs.
They will have to relocate to their other home in Aspen, poor folks
