For people who have antique phones the majic jack will ring a double gong ringer. You cannot use pulse dialing but your computer can dial the number. 73
I have used magicjack for 14 or 15 years now, got one when they first come out, had to be plugged into your computer, than bought a Magicjack Go when they come out with them, just plug into the router modem, don't need the computer on. I had DSL internet service all that time and when the internet worked as it should my phone worked. Spectrum run a Fiber Optic line down my road, so I hooked up to it. However I can't seem to get my Magicjack to work on their fiber modem router?
@@ronb6182 yes there is that, but I really never like cell phones. Much rather have a real telephone. I got magicjack the first of this month so been really liking it.
I have three dongles and cannot get into any of them. Dont forget you must put log in informstion in a safe place, second yoh must use windows probably 10 they dont allow old versions of windows. The app is very.handy you dont have to bring your computer. 73
Great review but It left me with a question about Cell phone app. If you are away from your home computer and home computer is off, will your cell phone with the app installed will your Cell phone be able to take your phone phone calls if you are on wifi outside of home. You seem to be saying that or am I wrong.
Am waiting for a reply because I was thinking the same thing. But maybe not because he says you can use your mobile data too, and not just Wifi. As long as you got an account subscription. Kinda like what's app, you can use Wi-Fi or mobile data. 🤷🏿♂️ ( I am guessing too)
@@MaraEliseJones Yes, you can use your app to receive and send calls and SMS when the phone itself and MagicJack is not plugged in or the computer is off. You don't have to have the MJ plugged directly into the computer. You can plug it in via the included cord and power adapter/brick into a wall electrical outlet. Calls will ring the phone if the MJ is plugged in and has internet connection. Calls will also ring the phone with the app installed and logged in.
@@20NewJourney23 that's right I haven'tpluged in my dongle in a year or so but as long as your app is logged in you can talk and receive calls just using the app. I need to update my email and password so I'm at a stand still until I find the log in information. It's best to keep better records than me. Lol I never had volume issues . I do miss hearing real bells ringing. So the dongle must be connected to ring real phones. 73
