Fresh from their respective showcases at SXSW in Austin (USA) and Jazzahead in Bremen (GER), Mama Terra return with a new single. It follows the release of their acclaimed debut ‘The Summoned’ last year. It is musically inspired by the sensibilities of the likes Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper, Alice Coltrane, with deep ‘pocket’ groove and tone. Meanwhile, the free-flowing melody represents our thoughts and tangents, with tight horn lines embodying how the universe is all just balanced and works together.

‘The ominous moon! Sometimes I just notice it up there, taking up the whole sky. Thoughts of how the universe is so perfectly balanced, yet how fragile it all is and what would happen if it wasn’t so. Why is horror and disaster so addictive? Why can’t we look away at the beauty of it all? In an ‘ordinary’ life we are literally surrounded by the extra ordinary, that juxtaposition fascinates me.’
